History

Established in 2008.

The Iron Curtain Press is a letterpress print shop located in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles. What started as a love for stationery and design has flourished into a full time print shop specializing in custom projects and our own line of cards and printed ephemera. Started in Seattle in February 2008, the shop made the big move to Los Angeles in February 2012.

Everything in our shop is handmade in-​house. Most designs are type-​set by hand, and everything is printed by hand using hand-​mixed inks. We print on 100% cotton paper (no trees!) and use non-​toxic cleaning supplies. We love the earth and beautifully printed goods.

Meet the Manager

Joel K.

Manager

Joel is the technical designer, product photographer, furniture builder, security guard, press cleaner, head of marketing, hired muscle, and constant source of artistic inspiration.

Rosanna is the brains, hired help, accountant, janitor, and graphic designer behind Iron Curtain Press. She loves what she does and wouldn’t have it any other way.
