Jackie Rose Style

On top of being absolutely beautiful and a real live angel, Jackie Rose is incredibly talented and very devoted to what she does! I couldn’t be happier with the work she has done for me and I recommend her to anyone looking for the best!!! You will not be disappointed I promise!

I love Jackie for the work she’s done for our commercial photo shoot. She brought TONS of different items to choose from on set, she took amazing care of all models and despite the long shooting hours she was smiling, happy and energetic till the very last minute. Jackie is super pro in her work AND she is such a sweetheart!

I love jackie’s message and vibe. She is very kind and professional. I can tell she has a real passion for styling and genuinely helping people. I def. recommend her.

Spending a few hours with Jackie Rose is therapy for me. I highly recommend her! She had the ability to know what was just right for me and suggested things that I would never have thought of. She lavished me with compliments, kept my purchases within my price range and made me feel like I was truly something special. I can’t wait to have another therapy session with her!

I had a terrible experience
1. I’d like to clear some things up. First, in response to her comment on honesty, it is hypocritical for her to criticize on that part as she is the one at fault. If you take a look at the previous review, you may read the entire scope of the story. Furthermore, it is not uncommon for one to go by a pseudonym to protect one’s privacy. Her criticism is merely a means to avoid the crux of the issue. What upsets me the most is not only the fact that she preyed on an unsuspecting acquaintance of mine into giving her the money, but also the fact that she made a deal and she broke it. I asked specific questions regarding the financial compensation, and by email, she confirmed that $ 200 would be the total charge. I would have only spent $ 100 on her services if not for the deal she gave us of $ 200 for 5 hours. I was going to go with another company that offered 2.5 hours at the price of $ 100, before she matched the rate with the «five hour discount package.» Seeing as she was closer, I went with her. If I knew she would have charged ¹⁄₃ more than the price she said she would charge, I would not have brought my business here. You should be able to trust a company to keep its word. My experience has shown me that this company is unreliable. That’s just not right or ethical.
a. Initial contact, date is suggested.
b. She offers a package price of $ 375 for five hours. Previously, I was only considering using one or two hours. The discount persuaded me to use five hours instead.
c. Fooled by the five star reviews, I agreed on a date and asked if the Unilocal discount of $ 200 for the price of $ 100 could be applied to the package price (50% discount). She promised to uphold the agreement of $ 200 for five hours, and she arrived one hour later than the agreed time. So, instead of 12 – 5, the appointment time went from 1 – 6.
d. She suggested we go to the Valley Fair Mall, when we were planning on going to the mall closest, to decrease driving time. She said it was fine, and she would not charge for the driving time it took. We had previously discussed this issue via email, and I have a electronic copy of her agreement. What she said about the styling time being six hours is COMPLETELY FALSE. It was clearly five hours, the set time we agreed upon.
e. She offered to drop off to a location on the way back to SF anyways. She told us it was $ 300; handed over the money, not realizing that she was charged an extra $ 100.
f. We realized later that we overpaid her by 100 USD. We communicated through email, and one and a half months ago, she agreed to send a check with the money she took wrongly. That never came. Two months became three, and she ceased communication. It seems to me that she does not want to own up to her deceit. I suggested we use PayPal if it would be more convenient. No reply. So, I wrote this Unilocal review to let others know to be beware of this company.
As for the «$ 2000 budget,» that is a lie. The budget was always set as $ 1000, and when initially proposed, it was assumed that a whole new wardrobe would be bought, not 6 unflattering dresses and a mix of random tops and skirts.
Also, all the things she complained about in the comments were ones she herself confirmed as «fine with that» or «ok, no extra charge, it’s not out of the way at all!»
Regarding ice tea, she was the one who wanted to stop by to get one, and she EXPLICITLY stated in her email that part of her service is to «pick you up with your favorite Starbucks drink in hand.» She did not arrive with my «favorite Starbucks drink in hand.» When she bought the ice tea, I assumed that this was the «Starbucks drink» that she was supposed to have showed up with. At most, the ice tea would have been $ 3, so either way, she still owes money ($ 97 versus $ 100). Although more trivial, this is yet another example of this company promising one thing, then not keeping their end of the bargain (financial compensation agreement, not delivering what was promised as part of the service.)
Jackie was unfocused and self-​absorbed in the session too. She looked at Barbie clothes for herself at stores, and chatted with MACS salespersons over exchanging empty eyeshadow cases for new ones. If I were to look at as a a stylist, I would not recommend her either. The budget given was for a wardrobe full of clothes, and we came home with 10 – 12 items that could be easily found and were quite unflattering.
She also had the audacity to ask for positive reviews in exchange for one hour of free styling afterwards! My experience either is a reflection of her business communication skills, or a reflection of trickery by overcharging. I’m an unhappy customer because the service that was promised was not up to par, and because I ended up being significantly overcharged. My closet is still sorely lacking, and this experience made me spend $ 300 on a service that was unhelpful. I’m not only still at square one, I’m on square –1. The worst customer service!

Jackie Rose has won me over! After a 4 hour drive to San Francisco, I arrived feeling tired and underdressed. She styled me in this amazing outfit, did my makeup, and showered me with compliments. Tell me this isn’t a girls dream come true?! With her creative eye and her business skills, I was left very impressed and feeling very important.

Jackie Rose is fantastic! She has completely transformed my shopping experience and opened my eyes to fashion and style. I love her energy and genuine spirit. I was intimidated at first thinking, «Who am I to hire a stylist?» and thought that I was so far beyond help that it was embarrassing, but she made me feel like a friend and that I could achieve the look I’ve always dreamed of but didn’t know how to get. She knows the ins and outs of all the shops and finds great pieces no matter what the time or budget constraints are. I’ve had more fun with her doing style boards, closet audits and shopping for a new wardrobe. She made me feel beautiful inside and out and was so knowledgeable about what styles would be flattering on me. I wish I could have Jackie with me on every shopping trip! I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a style update or a complete transformation. Her passion is one of kind!

Jackie Rose made me feel like a completely different person after my transformation! She has such a passion for her customers that you can see from the get go. She made me feel like a million bucks and truly knew what worked best for my body within my price range and style limits. She is great with doing your hair and makeup as well so you can have the complete look when you leave! Jackie has a true talent to make you feel beautiful after you are done (inside and out!) I have nothing but good things to say about this lady and can’t wait to work with her again as Fall comes along!

I had the pleasure of working with this amazing stylist on a photo shoot about a month ago. She nailed the style so perfectly with the theme, her style picks brought so much life to the photos and created such a perfect and cohesive look with the hair, makeup and background setting. As a makeup artist I was so pleased at how perfectly the clothes and accessories melded together with the makeup and hair to create perfect look. Jackie Rose has so much style and vision. I would never hesitate recommending her or working with her again on future projects, she is a delight and so stylish to boot.

Jackie is a wonderful person to work with if you want to transform your wardrobe or get a sense of what looks good on you. She helped me transform mine quite recently and I now have a whole closet full of clothes from which I can create fun, stylish yet comfortable outfits for casual outings, excursions with my kids, date nights, professional events and everyday wear. She first came to my house and looked at all the clothes I already owned, helped me put together outfits I’d never have thought of myself, discussed styles and colors she felt would work for me and weeded out a bunch of clothes I needed to get rid of but had been hanging onto! I immediately felt a lot «lighter», more confident, and ready for our next meeting which was a 5 hours shopping trip. I dislike clothes shopping but Jackie made the experience really pleasant and we hit 7 – 8 stores, ending up with some lovely pieces on a moderate budget. I would recommend Jackie very highly, and would defintely use her services again myself.

Jackie Rose is our favorite to go to wardrobe stylist! I met Jackie when she was working at Betsey Johnson in Santa Barbara shopping for my the 14 year old daughter who is a well known actress. Within an hour, Jackie had my daughter decked out head to toe in an amazing age appropriate outfit which immediately caught the eye of the Teen Vogue photographer at a Hollywood celebrity event. That was 7 years ago. We are still loyal Jackie Rose Style clients. Whenever we are visiting the bay area, we make sure we book an appointment with Jackie. She always treats us like royalty even going so far as to pick us up from our hotel and driving us to the best vintage shopping meccas in San Francisco. If you want major style on a budget, Jackie is your girl.

Jackie is great! I am a stay at home mom of three girls and don’t have time for me let alone looking pretty! First hired her to do my colors and closet sweep! She put together so many outfits that I would never have even tried! Also had a bag of donations too. I hired her for not one but two shopping trips. The first time we pulled items together and worked with my limited budget! The second time I just browsed and tried on outfits. I am not really a shopper so that was nice! She even suggested I try on a shorter skirt than I am use to. I was very reluctant but I loooove it! Looks so chic. One final note Jackie doesn’t dress you in her style, she takes your style and upgrades it to beautiful!

Jackie has a great sense of style. She helped me find my wedding dress, and helped make suggestions for a professional wardrobe. I would definitely work with her again. Her recommendations are always right on, and she has helped me find things I wouldn’t have picked out myself. I tend to wear pretty much all-​black clothing, and she always encourages me to try something new. She really understands what works for your body — and always gives honest opinions. Jackie has a unique style and creative approach to fashion. I personally don’t like shopping, and find it overwhelming, but she makes it fun and easy.

I worked with Jackie to revamp my work attire and had a really great experience. Being a silicon valley tech guy now working in marketing, I was feeling more and more like the jeans and faded golf shirt were no longer cutting it. So I hired Jackie hoping she would help me look smart, sharp, and be taken more seriously. All I can say is this girl is awesome! I booked her for a few hours and finished the day with everything I needed, and enough different options to change it up week to week. She had me trying on things I never ever would have considered, but ended up loving! Literally my favorite sport coat was one she picked out and something I definitely would have passed on before thinking I couldn’t pull it off. She just knows what’s going to look good on you. She’s also really cool and has a lot of crazy stories about her LA days with working with celebs and hanging out with future vine stars ;). By the way, she went to fashion institute with the girls from The Hills, which is awesome. Anyway, this girl is friendly, professional, and adds serious value if you want to step it up in your career. I’d hire her again for sure.
