This company beats any jewelry store I have found in Los Angeles for quality, value and service. My wife ordered a new custom wedding ring for our 5^th wedding anniversary and the results were spectacular — five white diamonds set in a thick yellow gold band. The ring was stunning and when it did not fit quite right, Amanda worked to have it re-​manufactured to the correct size in time for our special celebration. I can personally recommend Loni’s team, their fine craftsmanship and excellent customer service. Go in and see for yourself!

Excellent craftsmanship and customer service! Had our ring custom made from two family rings. The design process was top notch and the results were amazing. Really enjoyed the process of designing and working with them. They make it easy if you know what you want. And if you don’t they can give you a ton of options. Would definitely recommend.

My fiancé and I ate at a restaurant across the street and decided to walk off all the delicious food. We wandered through the marketplace and then came upon a small «jeweler’s row» of sorts and we stopped in this store. I have always wanted a jade bangle bracelet so we stopped so I could price them. We were greeted immediately and I asked a few questions about Jade and the gentleman that helped us was very knowledgeable and explained how to tell real jade from fake jade. He showed us some bracelets and we priced them. We left and shopped around at the adjoining stores and they were less friendly and WAY MORE expensive than what he quoted us, so we returned. They were so nice and helpful, we ended up spending over an hour in there looking at bracelets, and they were patient and answered all my questions with no pressure to buy. I finally settled on a beautiful bangle with a carved design of a dragon and phoenix on it. Gorgeous! So after spending the night with my bracelet and absolutely falling in love with it, I decided to go back the next day to get a ring and ANOTHER bracelet for my other arm… and they cut a great deal with no tax because I returned and bought multiple pieces! They have beautiful one of a kind pieces that you will treasure. I plan on bringing soon to be hubby back to upgrade my diamond ;) Ask for Kim, she is very nice and knows her stuff and her husband (I did not catch his name) is very nice too! I will be back as long as they are there to get more jewelry and gifts for others.

Three and a half years later they still remembered me and my wife. When they created the dual wedding bands they suggested that we have them fused, but my wife liked the idea of them being separate. Well, she now agrees with their suggestion. We came back to get it done here at JAJ, and they were AWESOME. Quality and service was exceptional! Not only did they fuse the rings, they cleaned and polished them including her engagement ring (which we didn’t purchase from them). And since they offered the service back then, the price remained the same. No extra charge (so we paid nothing!). Can’t say enough good things about this place and the people that run it, super friendly and they are an awesome value. If you’re in the market for jewelry, come here, you won’t be disappointed.

Nice little family run establishment, never had any problems on their service. They are always willing to spend the extra time to listen to details on question or concern regarding their product and merchandise, before making an important purchase. We always come look and buy jewelry here. Great customer service and satisfaction.

I also got an engagement ring from my fiancé from Mr. Long’s son’s shop (same building as Mr. Long, but I can’t find his Unilocal review page. Please let me know if anyone knows Jon’s Unilocal page. Then, I will update there too!) and it is beautiful. I love it!

This place came recommended by a friend so I thought it I would give the place a shot. I went in looking for pricing and ideas on what was available and not to commit to buying. The owner was informative and helpful providing background on the types of diamonds what would be suited better for the design I was interested in. By the end of the visit I had purchased a diamond and ring design. To make sure I was getting what the owner promised I checked the diamond certification through GIA and also did price comparisons on the diamond when I got home. Everything checked out.

The end result of my bangle was that they started to work on resizing it the day I came in and waited over 2 hours. Long kept saying that it would be another 10 mins and that they are bringing it soon. He would say this every 10 mins as I watched the clock. The jeweler working on the bangle came down and admitted to just having received the job 20 mins ago. Needless to say, the job done was extremely terrifying and i am appalled that they would even return the customers item in the condition i received it. This was my husbands wedding gift to me and I cannot even wear it due to the condition they gave it back in. Awful, just god awful. Never trust them with your precious jewelry. NEVER!!!

I agree with another reviewer, I would give Long negative stars if possible.
Long is DISHONEST and DECEITFUL.
Our experience occurred in 2006 – 2007 was so horrible I still remember it to this day.
Sadly, several of my family members and relatives have purchased from Long over many years and he was recommended to us.
Back in 2006, my boyfriend (now husband) was planning to propose to me. So we came here with my sister and her husband. My sister has purchased several pieces of jewelry from Long including her engagement and wedding rings.
It was our first time dealing with diamonds so «we thought» we could trust Long.
I told Long what I wanted in terms of the C’s and style. I was very specific about wanting platinum and a color between D-​F range. We ended up walking out paying for a beautiful diamond (not yet set in a band).
After the proposal, I went back to change the style of the band. It took Long THREE MONTHS to do the work when he already had the band in-​store. We kept contacting him and he kept giving us the run around.
When I finally went to pick up the ring, I noticed immediately that the color of the diamond looked more yellow than I remembered. He kept reassuring me that the lighting was off and this and that. In hindsight, I should have gone with my gut and not walk out with the ring.
Of course, I had many photos of the original diamond when I got engaged. So when I went home and took pictures of the newly set ring, the diamond looked completely different from the original ring.
We took the ring to another jeweler recommended by another sister who did not purchase from Long. This particular jeweler educated us that the ring was WHITE GOLD (not Platinum) and the color was close to H-​J. Seriously?!
We went back to Long and asked for a diamond certification. When we finally got it back many weeks later. It confirmed that the diamond was not what he originally showed and sold to us. Long knew he showed a much clearer diamond so we would buy that day but only swap it out with something lower quality while working to set the ring.
He also knew he was making us a white gold NOT platinum band.
He rarely answers his phone and when he does, he brushes us off saying he was working on it. He also avoided our emails.
Finally, we gave him the lowdown on selling us one thing and giving us a completely different diamond & ring.
Long avoided and ignored us completely. Finally, we reported him to the Better Business Bureau. We were even consider suing the guy but that would cost us more money. We do have the documents and pictures. Any attorneys out there who think we still have a case?
I don’t even wear my engagement ring anymore. I lost the wedding band we also bought from him but I’m not sentimental over it.
DO NOT BUY FROM LONG. MR. GREEDY, DISHONEST AND DECEITFUL.
* SIDE NOTE: Long also bragged about how he owned the entire parking structure attached to the jewelry plaza/​building. And that he lives next door to Arnold Schwarzenegger. I guess he is proud of the fact that he gets rich by cheating honest people out of their hard earn money. How can this man live with himself?

My fiancé Paul bought my rings (engagement and wedding) and I bought his wedding ring from Long. We have had nothing but great service and they sell the best of the best. We take our rings back whenever we want to get them shined and they’re always very friendly. The diamonds are very clean and if you are looking for a diamond that is clear and an excellent color, this is your place!

My husband and I just went back yesterday to get it polished and to fix something and Long didn’t charge us. He remembered my husband’s name after not being there for a year. He always takes care of us. Thank you Long! :)

Bought my engagement ring from Long, the owner. Everyone that sees it says it’s the cleanest diamond they’ve ever seen. And think I paid double for it. Price was fair. I’m very happy.

I went in window shopping for jewelry for my Mom’s birthday/​Mother’s day, and they are just a great home grown store. Not only do they have great customer service, but also great prices. In the end, I ended up having them duplicating pairs of my mom’s favorite pair of earrings.

JAJ is a small jewelry store oveflowing with ton of merchandise. There is something for everyone there. With Long’s help I was able to have several pieces of jewelry «re-​designed» at a very affordable cost. The cost and craftsmanship are very good. For some minor work you can wait. Enjoy the sights, sounds, and food of LA Chinatown while you wait. Sometimes the work takes longer than quoted, but they are busy and popular and it’s worth the wait.
This is family run and owned business and they want their customers to be happy and satisfied, so you’ll return again. Customer service is important to them. If you’re not sure about something, ask questions… Long is very knowledgable.
Parking is underneath the building, but don’t drive too fast otherwise you’ll miss the entrance. There’ s a parking attendant and parking validation.
