History

Established in 2000.

After working for a couple years for a law firm in Century City, Jane Oak decided to open her own law office to serve the community with excellent yet affordable legal services. Over the past 12 years, she has helped individuals in obtaining greencard or citizenship, companies register trademarks, and people buy and sell businesses. Since 2005, Jane has published articles in the newspapers on a weekly basis to update the public on immigration law. She has also had several 5-​minute programs on television.

Business Owner

Jane Oak graduated from UCLA School of Law with a J.D. in 1998. Her B.A. degree in Accounting was earned at Michigan State University in 1992. She is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She is currently the President of the Korean-​American Bar Association of Southern California, and a former board member of the Christian Legal Society of Los Angeles. She was a recipient of the prestigious NAPABA’s Best Lawyers Under 40 Award in 2011, and was given the Legal Leadership Award by the Asian American Dispute Resolution Center in 2012. She and her staff are fluent in English, Korean, and Spanish.

Jane helped us with our immigration process. She is very nice, very professional. She is not intimating like a lawyer that you normally meet, she very patiently explained everything to us at our first meeting and did’t pressure us to make decisions right away. the whole process was very smooth, it took a long time for everything to finally go through, but Cesar who is an associate at the firm would always keep us updated and send us everything in a timely manner. Overall it was just an awesome experience and i definitely recommend Jane and her associates!

I got introduced to Jane through a friend who was very happy with the service she provided as his lawyer. I m so glad that I found the right lawyer. She guided me and my husband through all the steps of green card application very meticulously. She explained everything so well and thoroughly. She answered all our questions, cleared all our doubts. When she was busy, her assistant lawyer Cesar helped me in every way he could. He did follow up through phone calls, emails while Jane was away for business. He would always get my messages and then get back to me promptly. Answered all my questions, guided me through all the steps needed to complete my paperwork. I got my social security number and green card without any delay thanks to their professionalism. Jane truly has an amazing work attitude and ethics. Her whole team is as amazing as herself. Jane and Irene assisted me with an O-​1 visa renewal and impressed me with their calm and friendly expertise. They were immediately available to answer my questions, and processed all the paperwork efficiently, even in the face of some awkward deadlines. My approval notice came back from USCIS less than two weeks after mailing the petition via regular, not premium, processing. I definitely will be using them for my green card application in the New Year.

Let me start with a big THANKS to jane oak and associates for work throughout our case in the best possible way, my wife and i were looking for the right lawyer and we found jane, she is the best and she knows how to describe to you whats going to happen regarding the case, i like the fact that when we visited her office for first time consultation, she tells you how she works and the steps she takes for a successful case, we reached and visit some others lawyers and they were not close to answer all the questions i got. I will strongly recommend when trying to get jane to work your case please have all your documents ready and whatever need it because they file your case as fast as possible, our case took a little longer but not because of her, we were waiting on some documents to go through and once we had those documents in hand everything was fast and efficient. Im so happy that i found jane and thanks to her I obtained my green card so fast!!!

Very professional & trustworthy!
My husband and I found Jan Oak & Associates PC by searching immigration lawyers on google & Unilocal.
On our first meeting, Jane has told us the exact process and documents needed to go through the immigration process. So, we had no surprises /​trouble while going through the immigration process which was awesome! She also introduced us to Cesar, who helped us following up with each steps. Cesar was extremely professional and quick at responding to emails or calls whenever we had questions.

I came to know about Jane Oak through Unilocal,when I was looking for the best immigration lawyer around. I was not disappointed. Now, just over a year since I contacted her, I already have my PERM and Green Card, considering the fact, my sponsoring company is not very big. Very easy to get hold of her and will return your call if message left. Attorneys out there will rip you for your money. I highly recommend Jane Oak. You will spend your best money for a great service. I got my work permit in 6 weeks after she filed my petition. I will give some credit to Karen I think she is Jane Oaks Assistant.
