So I’ve waited til the 1-​year mark to write this review because I wanted to give it a fair chance.
I’ve had 2 previous transplants with other surgeons to restore the front of my hair line, and they turned out good enough, so I’m no stranger to this process. I paid Dr. Rawnsley $ 10,000 to have 1500 grafts implanted via FUE behind the front line, in the middle of my scalp, because it was thinning a lot.
On the day of the surgery, I arrived at his ‘new office’, not the nice one that the consultation was in. I walked into a room that had not been set up at all, there was certainly no «advanced state of the art technology» and while the doctor was making the initial incisions I even heard him comment: «it’s a little crowded back here». Very comforting words when he’s cutting into my head…
Before he had even finished making the incisions in my scalp, another patient arrived in the room next door for a different procedure. What kind of surgeon schedules another patient to come in before he’s even finished with the first one? Clearly it’s about quantity rather than quality here.
The two technicians who then extracted, prepared and implanted the grafts seemed nice enough, but one of them was 8 and a half months pregnant and clearly very uncomfortable for the whole day, the poor thing just wanted to go home (I don’t blame her, but she shouldn’t have been performing this procedure).
At the end of the day, I was rushed out of the office, no one cared if I was ok to drive, they all just wanted me out of there so they could go home.
I’ve been monitoring my hair very closely every month for the last year, and I’ve seen virtually no growth at all. Again, I’ve had two previous transplants so I know that not all the grafts will grow, however after my surgery with Dr. Rawnsley, it looks like almost NONE of the grafts have grown. Please take a look at my before and after photos, my hair looks absolutely no different. I’m so disgusted at my results and my experiences, I really should have interviewed other doctors and I’m so mad at myself at that I didn’t. Now, I’ve lost $ 10,000, 1500 grafts from the back of my head, and I have nothing to show for it. Thanks Dr. Rawnsley.
Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your hair transplant.

I originally called this office because Dr. Rawnsley was on my list of healthcare providers through my insurance co. (This was 6 years ago)… anyway, I needed sinus surgery (removal of nasal polyps– oh what fun). I thought it was hilarious that when I called, the receptionist asked if there was anything else I wanted to have done. I was like «What?»… She explained that this doc. started as an ear, nose, and throat specialist, but he is now a cosmetic specialist as well.
There was a tiny area on the tip of my nose that I felt drooped a bit between my nostrils that my former plastic surgeon was too scared to do because it was so minor and working in millimeters can be kind of scary because if they take off too much, then everyone is in trouble. Most of my friends couldn’t even see what I wanted to have done, but it was something that I thought would look really good if it was completed with accuracy (again… we are talking about millimeters!). It would take a skilled surgeon to do exactly what I had in mind.
When I saw Dr. Rawnsley, he seemed very confident and quick to say «no problem»… I would even say he came off as cocky. I was very nervous because he had not been referred to me so I didn’t know enough about his work to feel 100% confident in what I was about to do. His name was simply the first one that came up when I did my search of healthcare providers in my area.
Plus, he was pretty quick to say that he could do it. It didn’t even appear as if he had to think about it (keep in mind, my last plastic surgeon was too scared because it required such accuracy). So, naturally, I was hesitant and mentally went back and forth as to whether or not I should go through with the cosmetic portion.
Well, the gamble paid off. The result was exactly what I asked for. I was amazed. My sinus problem is a recurring one and I was well aware (even before calling this office) that I will likely have to endure this surgery every 7 years or so. This was already my 3^rd sinus procedure (Prior to him, I had 2 other docs. in northern CA that performed the surgery).
Now, I won’t dread this necessary surgery every 7 years because I will definitely add a little nip or a tuck every time I have to go through this ordeal.
Thanks to his wonderful staff as well…

All about the Money. Never have I been treated so poorly by a «doctor.» You are a failure to the oath you have taken and I wish I had never come in to see you.

I made the appointment several weeks ago. Spoke to the office and communicated via email and at no time was I informed that I had to pay a consultation fee. I took my time off my busy schedule, drove through lunch hour traffic, paid for parking etc and 10 min. after I finished filling out the forms his assistant says «I have to collect the consultation fee now». I reacted stunned and told her that she nor her office had «not informed of such a fee and that I was not prepared to pay the fee». she then stated
«Well you can’t expect me to let you see him for free!» I took my forms and walked out having wasted 2 hrs of my time that apparently is not valuable to them. Very classless and unprofessional. Needless to say I never did get to meet with the Dr. that I waited weeks to see. Well, Good riddance!

For the record I have always considered having a nose job but the truth was that I didn’t have some unflattering hook nose or some huge honker. Rather, I felt that the tip of my nose was slightly too bulbous for my face. Thus if I was going to proceed with a rhinoplasty I needed to ensure that I was entrusting my face in the hands of an expert at his or her craft because subtle improvemens can be harder to achieve in rhinoplasty. Whether that is true or not, I know not but I was told this by two different Beverly Hills plastic surgeons, both who frankly discouraged me from rhinoplasty. These previous doctors basically told me that my nose was «good enough» and that I would need to think long and hard before proceeding with surgery as sometimes the desired outcome cannot be achieved when the improvements are subtle. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed and discouraged and figured I had better not get a nose job. And then I met with Dr. Rawnsley. I had seen Dr. Rawnsley’s before and after photos online and was immediately struck by the beauty and skill of his work. And so I decided that Dr. Rawnsley would be my very last consult and that if he discouraged me in any way with surgery then I would give up on my quest for the best rhinoplasty surgeon (or at the very least one of the very best) in the greater Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Westside area. And instantly I knew that he, Dr. Jeffrey Rawnsley would be my rhinoplasty surgeon. Upon arriving at his office. I was greeted by the lovely and spirited Suzanne. Her warmth and friendly nature will brighten your day, no doubt. Then after being ushered into one of the waiting rooms I was promptly greeted by the man himself, Dr. Rawnsley. After a few formalities I began describing my concerns about my nose and when I finished he calmly nodded and said «I agree with all of the above.» The good doctor then informed me of how to correct the cosmetic issues I had and he even made suggestions about correcting something about my nose that I had never previously noticed. All in all Dr. Rawnsley is truly a gifted artist and an extremely competent surgeon. A week after surgery my friends and family were blown away by how wonderful my nose looked so soon after surgery. Even the friends and family members I have that were against the surgery were pleasantly surprised and confessed that indeed my nose had been «touched» by the hands of a very talented surgeon. That was the greatest complement because many people I knew were afraid that I would screw my nose up. Fortunately and thanks in whole to Dr. Rawnsley and his wonderful staff at Dr. Rawnsley Plastic Surgery I didn’t! if you’ve ever dreamed of giving yourself the perfect nose that lives in harmony with the rest of your facial features then call Dr. Rawnsley’s office and schedule your consult today! Had FUE Procedure on September 10^th and had an AWESOME experience. Dr. Rawnsley and Staff are one of a kind and definitely skilled in their craft. He was able to answer directly and confidently all of my questions. My procedure was pretty painless and couldn’t be happier with the results. Don’t be fooled by discount versions of this procedure, it’s worth every penny.

I couldn’t be happier with Dr. Rawnsley & his staff — especially Suzanne! I have wanted to have my nose done for many years. Being the type A personality I am, I have done extensive research on doctors in cities across the country. I was extremely impressed when I viewed Dr. Rawnsley’s website and saw his work I picked up the phone immediately to schedule a consult. The first available was a month away but I gladly took it. A few days later I got a call from Suzanne (who is such a doll I felt immediately like she was a friend) letting me know there had been a cancellation and she could fit me in the next day. I cut my vacation short and drove straight there. I was late to that appointment and every one since but they have never been anything but understanding and happy to see me. When I saw the imaging from Dr. Rawnsley in my consult I was THRILLED! Surgery was relatively easy (as easy as any could be) and due to his closed rhinoplasty procedure, recovery wasn’t nearly as hard as I expected. The most important thing about my experience:
MY NOSE LOOKS SO AMAZING!!! ITS BETTER THAN THE COMPUTER IMAGING! My nose is now «perfect» (in my opinion) without looking like I’ve had a nose job. Dr. Rawnsley is unbelievably knowledgeable and a true professional. From the moment I talked to him at my consult I trusted him 100% and it’s my face so that’s a huge deal. I could go on and on .
I would highly recommend Dr. Rawnsley to anyone considering rhinoplasty! His talent cannot be denied & both the doctor and his staff are awesome!

Had a consultation last week. Dr Rawnsely was very professional, knowledgeable, and didn’t mind anwering my very specific questions regarding a revision rhinoplasty. I have seen 2 other doctors (Dr Frankel in Beverly Hills and Dr Rollin in OC) for consultation, but Dr Raunsley was the best. He took photos and morphed them to show his desired results which looked great. His office is clean, bright, and staff was friendly and accommodating.

After years and years of research and many many consultations, I found Dr. Rawnsley. For anyone who has ever considered rhinoplasty or any cosmetic/​reconstructive surgery it is a big decision. You really need to trust someone to be the best at what they do and to envision the same result you desire. I can’t say enough about how wonderful Dr. Rawnsley and his staff are. Suzanne at the front desk is amazing! He takes his time with each patient and addresses each and every issue, concern and question. I came in with a list of questions and he answered each one. I genuinely felt that he understood how important it was for me to look natural after my rhinoplasty and he even discussed the look of my nose in relation to my personality and other features. On surgery day, the staff at UCLA were fantastic. Friendly, competent, patient, kind… the whole package. A telling sign for me was that they all love Dr. Rawnsley and respect him greatly. There is no bigger compliment than the respect of those who see you do your work on a daily basis. I think the last word I remember saying before I went under was «natural.» And so it was… I love my nose. Its still me. Looks just like me… only softer and better. I had broken it years ago and my plight was to fix the bump but not look like I’ve had work done. Dr Rawnsley is an artist. His work speaks for itself. I could not be happier.

So I woke up one day and noticed that I was looking a little «follically challenged». I researched different treatment options, but realized that none of them really work except for hair restoration.
I chose Dr. Rawnsley to perform my hair restoration after interviewing many doctors in California and researching doctors in other states. My first visit with Dr. Rawnsley was an information session at UCLA where the group got the chance to see an actual patient having the procedure. Way cool! This totally helped me to not freak out when it was my turn. During an in-​office appointment, Dr. Rawnsley answered all of my questions and thoroughly explained the procedure. He was patient and knowledgeable. I had all the information and it was simply up to me to schedule my procedure. There was never any «hard sell» like the some of the other «hair mills» that I checked out. I also liked the fact that the Doc himself would be performing the procedure and I wasn’t going to be passed off to someone else. Big Plus — the whole thing would be done at UCLA!
The day of the procedure went pretty much as the Doc explained. There was some minor discomfort (which was expected), but for the most part I just relaxed, watched videos and chatted with the Doc and his incredible staff. They were really great about constantly making sure I was comfortable.
I highly recommend Dr. Rawnsley. I was so pleased with the results that I went back a second time to achieve an even fuller hairline.
I’ve seen a lot of bad hair restorations. No one has ever been able to tell that I even had the procedure — not even hair stylists! I’m grateful every day, when I look in the mirror, for the incredible result.
