I can say without any doubt, that this is the worst medical group I have ever been with.
Since I picked Dr Chin as my PCP, I have tried to see her 3 times. All 3 times she was not available. At least the first two times, I was able to still get in and see someone else. However, the last time I tried to get in and see her, the office told me her next appointment wasn’t available for another week! I explained to the receptionist that I needed to get in, because I had a horrible sinus infection. They told me my only option was urgent care. Or to wait a week.
Besides not being able to ever see my Dr, the staff has been horrible. I left 4 messages, over a 2-​day period and they didn’t return a single one. Even when I finally got ahold of someone, they told me the person who does the appointments was at lunch for another half hour, and would call me when they returned. 2 hours went by, and I never heard back. I called again and got the voicemail again. 15 mins later, I tried again and finally got the person who told me to go to urgent care.
So 7 calls and 2 days later I ended up at urgent care, where I had to pay an even bigger co-​pay. I’ve read all the other reviews about her availability and the staff, and they are spot on.
I will not be going back to this group. I don’t even know if «Dr Chin» actually exists.

This place is getting a 1 star because i have to pick and they don’t have a 0 option. I’ve been coming here for several years now. Well the reason for my review is because i have been trying to speak with a Dr. any doctor at this point and they seem not to care. It all started about a month ago when i went in for a follow up. I was seen by Christine Lee. PA, which to me she seems like a total air head. Anyways i asked if they can also do a pregnancy test since i was already getting blood work done, which they did, the issue is that i never received a call from her or report until I kept calling and asking for it which a pregnancy test and whatever they were checking is a next day turn around, I’ve had it before. Well I didn’t get an answer until almost 2 weeks after. I did state to her that I needed to be seen by a high risk pregnancy and since I have an HMO i needed her to send the approval if in case i was pregnant. I still haven’t received anything from them. I called an OBGYN my self and he said they didn’t send anything and that they would do it themselves because I needed to see them asap, I had also asked for a hemothologist since of the high risk I also have to see him, well guess what that Dr’s office sent an authorization to my insurance because they did nothing.
I called the office really upset and the girl who answered the phone seemed like she did not care at all, very rude. She said «I have already sent a request to Dr. and if she didn’t do it i don’t know what to tell you». at this point i was boiling and stressing out, plus she put me on hold supposedly to transfer me and i was on hold for like 45 minutes and nobody came to the phone, then i get a message we are out to lunch please leave a message or call back later. UUUGGHH so stressful, I have filled a complaint and hope someone does something about this. They might already be getting law suits for their awful service. Be careful DO NOT GO HERE. The office is bad, the people that work there seem like they are not happy, maybe underpaid. Maybe that’s why they treat patients like they don’t care, and their PA Christine is no exception. Completely unprofessional and I will never go back.

I went to Dr. Chin recently for a physical. She was kind and sweet and very knowledgeable. I read reviews, and her personally as a physician I cannot complain about. She made me feel comfortable while doing the pap so it wasn’t awkward. So far so good, I would recommend. The only down fall with a good physician is getting an appointment with her took some time date wise, because everyone wants to see her.

So I started this review after my first appointment, which was just to get a prescription filled and thought I would give Dr. Chin the benefit of the doubt and hold off on my review until after a proper physical exam.
First appointment — I was kept waiting for over an hour. Dr. Chin said this was an anomaly and apologized, stating they were short staffed due to an unexpected situation. Dr. Chin seemed a bit frazzled and wrote out a prescription after asking a few questions.
Second appointment was for a basic annual physical exam. This time the wait wasn’t too long (I would say normal for a doctor’s office — 5 – 10 minutes). My main gripe was that I mentioned to Dr. Chin that my sinuses were inflamed and she didn’t even bother to look up my nose! She told me to use a nasal spray (like neti pot, which i use) as she didn’t want to prescribe a steroid just yet (which I appreciated). I do wish she had at least looked up there in case there was something wrong…
Dr. Chin is overall nice, but maybe not as thorough as I would like. The way she talks I felt she really cared for her patients, erred on the conservative side (ie paps every year, breast exams every year), doesn’t over-​prescribe. However, I wasn’t impressed by her follow through based on my concerns as a patient.
The office in general seems disorganized and outdated. The nurse checking me in (checking vitals etc.) had to stop and search for some paperwork that he had misplaced. He was freaking out about losing it and running around. There’s also a bunch of handwritten signs/​notes with instructions for their staff. It just looked unprofessional.
I don’t particularly want to go back, but it’s also a giant pain in the butt to find a new doctor.

I just met Doctor Chin and I feel so lucky to have met such a great knowledgable Doctor, she’s absolutely great!
She’s not the rushy type and spent her time answering all of my questions including questions I had about my husband which she wasn’t obligated to do so but still decided to help.
She is not rude or short at all, she made my annual physical exam a breeze and I am overall satisfied with the service I received from her and her staff.
In comparison to many other Doctors in the Westside I have been assigned to in the past, Dr. Chin is the best this far!
I even changed my husbands doctor to Dr. Chin because his Doctor was rude, rushy and immediately wanted to put him on medication without providing different options, when I mentioned this to Dr. Chin she agreed there were other methods to try before medicine, my husband is now scheduled to meet with her next week and I am sure he will be just as happy as me.

My Wife is 6 months pregnant. I attempted to call this office multiple times, no response, no callback. If there is a good doctor there, I WOULDN’T KNOW.
Great job guys. Maybe we’ll have our child on the kitchen floor!

This is (was) my daughter’s doctor. Dr. Chin is almost impossible to talk to. She has her «office staff» answer the phone. When faxes are sent, they «don’t get them» even though they are sent many times. She refused to preauthorize a medicine even though it was an urgent matter. Their office is mismanaged; she is unavailable. Do not waste your time. I am 63 and have had wonderful primary care doctors and a couple of not so good ones. Dr. Chin is definitely in the «not good at all» category.

She’s professional, sharp, never rushes me and I love that she has her laptop handy to do on demand research of anything she is unsure. Doctors are ordinary people, we have the resourceful and friendly ones and the ones who could care less and misinform you to make themselves feel smart. Needless to say, Dr. Chin is no where near the latter! I’ve been her patient for 5 years now and love seeing her every time.

Is it strange to recommend someone based on the way she handles my lady parts? Oh well. So be it.
I’m just putting it out there for any woman that has anxiety over getting your annual pap smear. Dr. Chin has been my primary care physician for nearly five years now, and for good reason. I can’t praise her enough for putting my anxieties at ease and any woman who’s gotten a pap smear knows what anxieties I’m talking about. I’ve had my share of uncomfortable physicals, mammograms and most of all, pap smears. Dr. Chin does all three with the utmost professionalism and ease. She makes an incredibly awkward situation as comfortable as it can be because of her chill attitude and composure. You really get the sense that she knows what she’s doing because of the questions she asks, the answers she gives to your questions and the ease in which she delivers both. Dr. Chin has successfully diagnosed and treated any ailments I’ve experienced in the past fives years. She’s also recommended great specialists. Overall, she’s a great, knowledgeable doctor, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one that feels this way. She’s always booked for the next month when I call to schedule my annual exams, so call in advance!
If you are in a situation where you need to see a doctor soon and Dr. Chin isn’t available, try Dr. Maryam Farazha.

Dr. Chin is the best doctor I have ever had. She is a young, very smart and quick doctor, but will NOT rush you. I usually go to her during my lunch break so I need to be able to get in and get out with my problem solved. She has ALWAYS answered all my questions with such a understanding and professional attitude, no matter how many I came at her with. She is very knowledgeable and even recommended a great orthopedist to me. She always makes me feel comfortable and I will recommend her and sing her praises forever.

I have been a patient of you and others in your medical group for several years. Like most doctors offices it’s always hit or miss on how long you actually wait for your appointment; but this morning takes the cake! To make a long story short; I waited for close to an hour and a half for an appointment that supposedly needed no appointment. («Just show up for bloodwork» they said.) If I hadn’t complained and asked how long it would be, I would have sat there for hours. They had no intention of telling me that it would be a long wait, if at all, until I was seen Office Manager Derek (I think that’s his name) didn’t think that it was at all a problem to just let me sit as long as it took. They knew they were short handed when I arrived. The better way to handle it would have been to explain the problem upon my arrival. I would have understood and made plans to return another time. But the blantant disregard for my (or anyone else’s) time is rude and pretty unforgivable. I have posted this here because I think you would want to know how your staff is treating your patients.

Dr. Chin is the best! I saw her for the first time today and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. I really liked her easygoing manner, how she didn’t rush through anything, and that she was very understanding and patient about all my questions and concerns. She is very easy to talk to and has a friendly sense of humor (something many doctors lack). I felt very comfortable with her and barely paid attention to the less fun parts of my routine physical, simply because I was chatting with her as she worked. She is candid and open, and I like that she does not believe in a «no news is good news» policy (her own words) — she promised to call or email me with any results from my blood tests, etc. I highly recommend her and the whole practice she works with. Her staff was also friendly and fast, especially for a medical office. I can see now why her schedule fills up so far in advance! If you are looking for a wonderful female doctor in the Westside area, you should check her out.

I’m a new patient of Dr. Chin’s and I really like her. She reminds me of one of my previous primary care physicians, Dr. Janet Huang (based out of Irvine, CA in Orange County.)
I felt that Dr. Chin was very open minded and willing to take the time to answer questions and explain the situation to me. She also was very friendly, lighthearted, and had a good sense of humor. I felt very comfortable in her office (compared to other doctor’s appointments where it is nerve-​wracking.) She was very good at letting me know what I should and should not be worried about.
It is difficult to schedule appointments at times (and I think the support staff at this clinic might be a little bit overwhelmed) but I think I’ve finally found a doctor in LA I’m happy to stick with.

I was referred to Dr. Chin by a friend a few years ago. And I must say, she is one of the best. She’s very thorough and takes her time to answer EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY QUESTIONS. And if I’m still confused by her explanations, she will continue to clarify till I’m comfortable and at ease.
This is probably because it takes MONTHS to get an appointment with her. So, once inside, be prepared. What’s great is that you can call her with questions, too. Sometimes it may take a day or two (or sometimes even longer) for her to call back, but once she does — you always get the feeling that she cares and is giving you the best medical advice.
This new location is a bit hectic. Call for directions. And, yes, they validate parking. I believe they take all PPO insurance, but don’t quote me on that.
