I found Dr Kaye through this website. Like others, I was impressed by all of the 5 Star ratings. There are many good reasons for them.
I have had too many experiences with surgeons in my life, but I knew I needed a procedure on my arthritically damaged toe. From the first consultation, I was confident I had the right person. I had the surgery two weeks later, and the best way to describe it is that I felt that I was being treated by someone who considered me his best friend. He went the extra mile to inform, support and advise me, as well as performing a state of the art procedure in a first class facility.
I want to thank Dr Kaye, and Kathy, his sunny, helpful, capable right arm at his office. My stride is now anatomically correct, and I am without the pain which used to accompany each step. This guy is good.

After nearly two decades of getting pedicures, I finally got the dreaded ingrown toenail. I had pain on the side of my left toenail for about 3 weeks, in the form of a tender pink spot on the side of my nail bed. At first I would just keep weight off that toe, but eventually it got to be unbearable.
After trying self treatments at home (epsom salt soak, pushing against the tender area to try to get puss out, antiseptic + Neosporin) I realized any relief I was getting at home was temporary and this thing was NOT going away.
I picked Dr. Kaye for the great Unilocal reviews and location, and am SO HAPPY I did. The doc explained what was happening to my toe, which really helped me to feel better about the proposed procedure (which he also narrated just as I asked him to – it helps ease my anxiety to know what’s happening). Kathy his office assistant was SO NICE. It’s clear they are professionals who love what they do and care a great deal for their patients’ well-​being and comfort.
Per my request — because I was scared as @#* — Dr. Kaye clearly explained all the steps for the procedure and post-​treatment. I also found that the procedure itself was painless as he promised it would be. The most painful part was 3 shots of Novicaine but even then it was definitely tolerable for the big cry baby that I am (about 45 seconds of pinching sensation at the top of the toe). Dr. Kaye was also very open to listening to my concerns about medications since I am currently breastfeeding. Thankfully I did not have to take anything like antibiotics, the only medication was the on-​spot Novicaine shots. What was amazing was even though I could see him really digging into the side of the toe and removing the nail, I didn’t feel a thing.
My insurance covered the treatment, and I also purchased a little home-​care baggie which I thought was very convenient to not have to run to the drugstore separately.

I highly, highly recommend Dr. Kaye. Read all the positive reviews because they are all true.
I just had foot surgery for arthritis and a bone spur in the bunion area of my foot. I’m currently recovering and my entire experience has been wonderful from Dr. Kaye, to Kathy (Office Manager) and the Marina Del Rey hospital. You’re in good hands if you pick Dr. Kaye. I experienced no stress throughout this experience.
Years and years ago I had my bunion removed by a different Podiatrist and walked out of the hospital with a staph infection and the worst pain of my life from my bunion surgery. My foot was inflamed for years. I had 3 Dr.‘s opinions on my foot because I was so fearful of going through this experience again and finding a trustworthy Dr. The moment Dr. Kaye took Xrays (on both feet) and talked to me about the next steps, I knew there was something different about this Dr. I’m so happy I found Dr. Kaye and Kathy.

Dr. Joshua Kaye is an exceptional foot surgeon! He’s also an extraordinarily thoughtful and effective communicator; and he’s a very nice guy! All complimented and equaled by Kathy, his office assistant.
8 days ago, Dr. Kaye performed a «bunionectomy with joint replacement» on my right foot. From the experience of successful open reductions on both ankles; the successful reconstruction of my left wrist; and the badly botched prior attempt on my right foot by another DPM; my praise for Dr. Kaye is enthusiastic and unqualified!
The before and after x-​rays show a knurled, briar patch transformed into a clean and clear; functional joint. And, somehow in doing that, I was up and moving with negligible surgical pain that evening. Indeed, it is remarkable to once again walk without pain. One indication of his skill «inside» is the elegance of his suturing of the incision… his mother’s gown design talent was clearly passed on.
I’m truly thankful for his skill!

Called about a painful ingrown toenail, got it out and done an hour later! Painless and Dr. Kaye is so comforting to be around that I wasn’t as nervous as I thought I would be. Definitely would come back.

Took my son to see Dr. Kaye yesterday. How do you spell awesome… D-r.-K-a-y-e! Omg, it has been YEARS since I’ve had such a pleasant experience at a doctor’s office! He’s thorough, knowledgeable, straight forward, honest, and hilarious! Absolutely love, love him!

Absolutely lovely experience. I’ve had two ingrown toenails for as long as I can remember but have avoided getting them taken care of because of a previous horrible experience with a different Doctor. I was about to go back because I was desperate to get them taken care of but was so scared I explored other options.
I was referred to Dr. Kaye by my grandmother who raved about him and he certainly did not disappoint!
After explaining the urgency of the situation (I only had one or two days to fit it in), Kathy fit me in exactly when I needed to be, no questions asked.
The procedure was quick, completely painless after numbing, and was so pleasant just because of his quick sense of humor and Kathy’s positive and helpful presence in the office. They even sent my grandmother a personal thank you card for referring them to me. 100% would recommend him!

Dr. Kaye and his assistant, Kathy, are amazing! They were both very professional and friendly. Dr. Kaye took his time understanding my issues and explaining his diagnosis once the x-​ray were read. I really felt like he was listening to me then offered non-​surgical and surgical options to help me. I highly recommend Dr. Kaye!

If you are ever in need of a Podiatrist, I highly recommend Dr. K. He’s very helpful with regard to any question or concerns you have. I’ve taken my son a couple times and he has taken very good care of us. Kathy in the office is equally wonderful and helpful. Keep it up! :)

I injured a toe on my left foot on Sunday morning. It was swollen and bruised. On Monday morning, I looked for a doctor listed under my insurance company and found Dr. Kaye. I looked him up on Unilocal and found that he and his assistant, Kathy, had exceptional reviews, so I decided to call them without hesitation. Kathy answered the phone, I explained my situation and asked if I could be seen the same day. She asked me to come in by or before 10:30 a.m. I arrived at the doctor’s office, filled out required paperwork, paid my co-​pay and was sitting in the exam room in minutes. Dr. Kaye checked my toe, asked some questions and took X-​Rays. X-​Rays showed no bone injuries :-) He recommended I continue to ice it and if problem persists to
call them back.
I am sincerely grateful to have found such a professional team. I highly recommend Dr. Kaye and Kathy. They were both great pleasure
Note on location and parking: Building is conveniently located on corner of
Sepulveda and Manchester, two main, big streets. Parking is available in building but doctor does not validate (not sure of fee). However, street parking is available on Sepulveda and side streets (residential area). If you park on residential area, make sure you check the «No Parking» signs for
days and times of parking availability.

I went to Dr. Kaye in early June for Bunion surgery and am almost completely healed with outstanding results. Had both feet done and wish I had the surgery years ago! His office staff is wonderful. Cathy is amazing! Dr. Kaye and Cathy always kept me informed of all the important information before and after surgery to ensure great results. Highly recommend Dr. Kaye to anyone needing a fantastic Podiatrist!

This doctor is perfect.
I went there for a surgical procedure on my fifth toe his job was perfect.
He spends as much time as needed to make sure you get all your answers, The lady who works there is so friendly.
usually I don’t trust doctors but I would recommend him to everyone.

I didn’t get the reason of bad reviews first,
then I checked those people reviews history about somewhere else’s so what I found was this, those people doesn’t have any good reviews about anywhere else «these are those people who’s never happy about anything or anyone. «I called them negative people.
Please my advice if you want make decisions first find out who is writing that review.

Dr. Kaye is awesome. He’s very personable with his patients. I had a great laugh with him. He definitely know his stuff. He’s very caring and compassionate with his patients. I felt I’ve been knowing him forever. Kathy his receptionist is great as well. She’s very sweet and pleasant.

This is a totally professional office, that oozes with warmth and left with a feeling of complete confidence. This doctor came highly recommended to me, my experience exceeded my already very high expectations.

Very grateful to Dr. Kaye. Had my toe stomped on & flipped back. Blood & puss for weeks before I decided to see a doctor. He made the experience painless and easy. Very friendly. Knows what he’s doing. Go to him for all your foot needs.

It took me four years of research to finally get enough nerve to make the decision.
From my initial consultation to my post-​surgery follow ups, I felt assured and informed every step of the way.
Surgery was a success. Dr Kaye called me the next morning to check in.
I had a major surgery. Bunions on both feet and three hummer toes on each foot all done in one day surgery and without the worries about having WIRE PINS put in. Like other doctors may do.
I’ve heard they bend and the pain is extreme and uncomfortable when they are pulled out.
Now four months after the surgery, my scars are minimal. My energy restored and my mind is at ease. I love the way that my toes look!
Dr. Kaye is truly an expert in his field .
I whole heartedly recommend him!

I have problem feet. They’ve always had issues. I’ve had two failed surgeries and now two successful surgeries and Dr. Kaye was responsible for the latest. I wished I had him as a teen. He and Kathy are fantastic. But, in reality, I really researched his credentials and experience — and quite frankly his results beat the other board certified doctors in LA. He has quite a bit more experience as well.
I think the key to his success is he has excellent visual, spatial and hands on skills. He can see the angles with the bones, what will work, etc. He is really up to date on the latest procedures as well.
Fantastic successful with a hammertoe type of surgery I had — he gave prudent advice based on his experience on what to expect and what not to expect — and I had a very successful result. I can’t recommend him enough.

I can’t say enough about how awesome Dr. Kaye is! He’s very kind, funny and takes a genuine interest in his patients. His office manager, Kathy, is so wonderful and amazing. They truly love what they do & it’s obvious. I wish Dr. Kaye specialized in more areas than feet as I would love it if he could be my general doctor!
I had bunion surgery on my left foot last September and now just had the same surgery on my right foot yesterday. For the first surgery the pain was minimal and I only had to take pain killers for a few days… but honestly Alleve or Tylenol would have done the trick. In 2 weeks I returned to work in regular shoes (a size bigger than normal to accommodate swelling) and was able to drive. I started physical therapy right away and was able to go back to bike riding to work in about a month. By early December there were no signs of swelling at all – no proof of surgery except a 1.5″ scar. I’ve used silicone scar trips ²⁴⁄₇ since the incision site scabbed over & it looks pretty good so far. There is a tiny screw in my foot which I don’t feel at all, and I’m told I won’t set off alarms at airport security :)
Yesterday I had the right foot done, and I just got off the phone with Dr. Kaye who called to check in. He’s such a sweetheart! Took 1.5 Vicodin tablets last night, but no need this morning. Icing and elevating foot now.
I highly recommend Dr. Kaye, my only regret is that I wish I’d found him sooner!

I must start this review with a Big All-​Caps THANK YOU to Dr. Kaye and Kathy! My new local heroes. I feel incredibly lucky to have found them in my time of need.
I broke my toe playing football in the sand and thought I had dislocated it due to the swelling, purple coloring and pain. I emailed the office over the weekend and Dr Kaye responded personally within hours. I called Kathy on Monday morning and she got me in the office just an hour later. I spent thirty minutes one-​on-​one with Dr Kaye and received two x-​rays. He was extremely thorough in his evaluation and explanation of my options. Kathy was pleasant, friendly and helpful. The visit could not have gone better.
I am now on the road to recovery. I have a follow-​up appointment for a month from now and I am really looking forward to saying hello and seeing these people again. They made a bad situation into something easy, light-​hearted and nurturing.
