Our system is built on a consistent curriculum integrating various styles of martial arts, specifically Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido. It has been successfully taught through the years to children and adults. Many of our students have become masters in their own right, attesting to the high quality and standards of our system. Our Studio is open 7 days a week with classes starting as young as 3 ½ years old to adults of any age. We also offer classes in other styles of martial arts including Kendo, Jiu Jitsu, Iaido, Yoga, and Escrima in order to make your martial arts experience more well-​rounded.

History

Established in 1973.

Jun Chong Martial Arts, founded by Grandmaster Jun Chong, has been one of the longest standing martial arts academies in Southern California.

We are famous for a strong tradition and professional reputation since 1973.

Jun Chong Martial Arts is affiliated with the World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF) in Korea and the International Korea Hapkido Federation. Our students are certified in both federations when they earn their black belts from our organization.

Jun Chong began learning Tae Kwon Do at the age of 8. After immigrating to the US, he began training in Hapkido with legendary Master Sea Oh Choi, perfecting his own teaching style and future curriculum.

In 1973, he opened his first school in Rosemead, and 2 years later purchased a second school on Wilshire Blvd from good friend Chuck Norris. By 1978, Black Belt Magazine voted Jun Chong «Instructor of the Year.»

Master Chong holds a 9^th degree in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido, 7^th degree in Goju-​Ryu, 2^nd degree in Kendo, and is an expert in the use of numerous weapons. He continues to advance in his expertise in Iaido, Aikido, Escrima, and Jiu Jitsu.

Grandmaster Chong founded the World United Martial Arts Organization, connecting schools from all over the world to support in the advancement of martial arts. His reputation has been built from the continued respect and following of his many students, making the Jun Chong system one of the largest and strongest in the world.
