She is very patience and actually lets you take photos. She try’s her best to help make the dress work. She will even be honest with you if she thinks a dress would not look right on you. When I could not find something the first time around, she said she will contact me when she gets new arrivals. I even texted her to ask if she had a certain dress and she quickly responded and let me make a second appointment immediately. Although I did not end up renting from them, she was still super sweet to me. If you want a great experience with renting wedding dresses, I definitely recommend coming here.

I should first start out by saying, I didn’t get my dress here, however I was quite impressed by their service and how helpful the sales associates were. I’m in agreement with most of the positive reviews on here, so I’m not going to repeat what’s already been said. The associates here won’t rush you and will definitely make suggestions. With that being said, the following are some of my thoughts and/​or tips that hopefully will be helpful for the next bride-​to-​be considering this shop:
1. They don’t limit you as to the number of dresses you’d like to try on. This is a major plus since Bella Wedding and Wedding Sense limit you at 5 or 3, respectively. So if you’re just starting your wedding dress search and you’re not even clear on what silhouette you’d like, this should be a definite first stop on your list. Appointments here will average about 30 – 45 minutes.
2. The pricing here is VERY competitive. If you do end up finding the dress of your dreams here, do not be afraid to negotiate (of course, do so in a polite fashion)! For example, they have some really cute short wedding gowns that people often rent in addition to their actual wedding dress to change into during the reception. If you rent both a dress for the reception and the wedding dress from them, they can definitely work with you on the pricing (and are willing to do so too!).
3. Street parking only.
4.They allow you to take pictures! This may not seem like a plus, but you’d be surprised, some places don’t (see my review for Bella Wedding).
5. Their pricing includes alterations, dry cleaning, and use of their accessories (ie. veil/​hair pieces, jewelry, etc).

Wonderful place! I went to 4 different spots after this to try on dresses and ended up coming back here for my dress! It was $ 850 to rent and included my alterations, jewelry, tiara, and vale! I can’t wait to wear my dress on my wedding day! Only downfall is I went when it was 96 degrees out so it was staggeringly hot and trying on my dress I was melting, but other then the air co it was an amazing experience, and when I came back on a cooler day it was much better.

I didn’t buy or rent my wedding dress from this store, but I’m reviewing it and giving it 5 stars because of their exceptional customer service. I came here twice, and both times received excellent customer service (each time from a different lady… i wish I could remember their names but it’s been a couple months and I forgot their names already.) They are very accommodating, welcoming, honest, helpful, and just genuinely nice people. One of their dresses was my runner up but I ended up choosing a dress somewhere else.
I checked out a number of different stores for a wedding dress and Kara wedding definitely had the best customer service out of them all.
And their prices are really reasonable/​cheap!

I spent good amount of time shopping around for wedding dress because this was IMPORTANT to me like every brides out there.
Even my mom and sister got tired of me choosing what I love. I literally went almost all dress shops in k-​town and I couldn’t make my final decision because some places didn’t allow me take photos or was giving me rude comments and all.
But Kara and Irene (I believe she’s the owner), was different. I will say again, Different!
Her nice personality, positive attitude and of course! the design and the price were just what I was looking for. It was so easy to communicate with her what I want and need and she always listened for me! She even helped me with other wedding planning.
She did couple alterations and rented other accessories like belt and hair comb.
I was very very satisfied with this place in every side and already recommended to my other future bride friends!

Had my wedding for about a month now. When I was looking for a wedding dress, I saw Kara Wedding on Unilocal and I called them to make an appt. I have been to several bridal shop before I went to Kara but I wasnt able to pick the one I really really liked from any of those. So I went to Kara Wedding and I picked my dress that afternoon! I really loved it! All the dresses there were pretty. For my wedding dress, I really like the way I could add a jacket on top of my tube-​top wrdding dress. I got a lot of compilments about my dress. I also got the bridesmaids dresses there too and the dresses were so pretty too and my bridesmaids loved them! Irene was a super nice and patient person! She was very good at listening to our concerns, providing us suggestions and adjusting the dress the way we wanted. I would highly highly recommend Kara Wedding for any bride to be! You wont regret it!

Kara Wedding was a pleasure to work with. I presented my budget at the first appointment and found the dress that was perfect for both my budget and my style. They have a diverse range of gowns and I especially liked that I could find plenty of gowns in small sizes. I rented my wedding dress about 6 months before the date of my wedding and had 2 fittings closer to the date before picking up the altered dress the week before the wedding. The seamstresses at Kara Wedding were efficient (fittings were less than an hour each time) and always polite. They even let me use a decorative haircomb and belt just in case.

CAN’T EXPRESS HOW IN LOVE I AM WITH THIS PLACE. Their dress selection is pretty good in my opinion for a small boutique and their alterations are QUICK! The girls that work there are really sweet and I really want all my future bride-​friends to rent from there cause that’s how highly I think of them! The price includes alterations and accessories and you don’t have to clean it when you return it.
If you can pay cash, DO IT.

Went to Kara Wedding with my MOH on a Sat afternoon. This place is very exclusive. They only help 1 client at a time, hence by appointment only. Make sure you make an appointment first! Irene is the owner and was the only one working that day. She was super sweet and did not pressure us on making a decision that day. I ended up really liking 2 of the dresses I tried on that day. They also allow you take photos of all the dresses. Great experience decent prices.

Our team has worked with Kara Wedding several times in the past. Most of our customers were very happy with how their dresses turned out. Their dresses are not only handmade, but the designs on the dresses were amazing and very beautiful. We were very glad to work with them.

Wow is all I can say from my experience, I am totally floored by their customer service. I just started «shopping» for wedding dresses and decided I’d rather rent than buy since I realistically will be wearing this thing for a half a day at most and I don’t want to drop thousands. I’ve researched the major Korean dress rental places and made appointments, Kara was my first one.
I believe there is parking in the back, but few spots, and there’s actually a good amount on the street. I work full time and can’t really make it during the day time so I made the latest appointment at 5pm and was prompt. Irene was incredibly sweet and welcoming. She didn’t speak much English but I speak Korean so it was fine. I had two friends with me and honestly, do not bring more than 3, it’ll get cray.
I tried on EIGHT dresses in just under an hour, a few that she picked out from the pictures I showed her, and a few that my friends chose from the racks. We tried it on, revealed to friends, took a pic, took it off and did that over and over. So darn efficient and productive, I love this woman and system!!! I also really appreciated being able to take photos because my mom lives in a different state so she won’t be joining me for wedding dress shopping and I want to get her opinion and approval before committing to a dress. Choosing from the selection is frankly pretty overwhelming but Irene was patient, listened to what I wanted and what my bridesmaids said and it was seriously a perfect experience. I didn’t walk out with the dress today, (and I refuse to make a decision until I go to at least 2 more places) but the prices are incredibly reasonable. Rental prices for wedding dresses are really a great deal because they include alterations, accessories like belts, etc.
I also want to highlight how AMAZING Irene is, she was the PERFECT associate. If I don’t find another dress I must have, I’m going to come back to Irene because of just HER. She’s very sweet, not only hears you but listens, won’t make rude comments about how fat you are, doesn’t rush you, doesn’t lay down a bunch of ridiculous rules or constraints, and best of all has a «CAN DO» attitude. Multiple times she was saying «we can do this, we can do that, etc» and I’m just a big fan of people who have that attitude.
They have a large selection of bridesmaid dresses and I’m so excited! They seem to constantly make new dresses and I want a very specific shade of blue for bridesmaid dresses and she showed fabric swatches and said «this?» and it was exactly the right one!!! She said they were going to make 6, and once they are ready if we rent, it’s $ 80 for renting inventory, $ 120 for custom made rentals, $ 220 to keep custom made dresses. They also have incredibly clever design for their dresses, so you can basically switch up dress styles for each bridesmaid which seems to be in style lately.
She also asked me about other vendors and had given me a couple recommendations for photographers that look excellent! Everything about this appointment was absolutely perfect to the point where I’m almost certain that no others will be better. I normally don’t rave THIS much but I 100 000% recommend Kara Wedding if you are a bride looking for a wedding dress to rent inventory, rent custom made or purchase custom made for very reasonable prices. (Also when I say reasonable I mean reasonable, I’m still in poor grad student mode)

After trying on countless dresses and scrolling through hundreds of photos on Pinterest and Instagram, I still couldn’t find THE perfect dress. I pretty much gave up and figured I’ll just rent something acceptable and forgo the *perfect dress* idea… a bride’s gotta be logical sometimes!
My wedding planner suggested that I visit Kara, since that’s also where she found her own dress last year. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by Irene, who was very sweet and charming. After looking through the dresses and asking about their rental prices, Irene brought up the fact that they offer bespoke dresses… You had my curiosity but now you have my attention! I then showed her photos of a few dresses and pointed out the elements I liked for each. She quickly threw together a sketch, and it was very close to what I had envisioned. My only concern was I wanted to look at other bespoke options in Ktown prior to finalizing the deal. Three days later, we came back to discuss details and material with them, and the deal was sealed!
If you’re looking for a budget friendly bespoke option, this is it! The material may not be as premium as Atelier, but since I’m only wearing it for a few hours, it’s something I can justify for the difference in price!
Kara offers dress rentals from $ 850‑1000. As well as a super value rental package which includes 2 bridal gowns, 3 bridesmaid dresses, 1 groom’s tux, 3 groomsmen’s tux, all for only $ 1500!

They have high quality dresses with reasonable price ! I have my wedding in June and i have been to other several dress shops but ended up coming back. They make their own dresses and they can fix your dress to your own style. 100% satisfied with their service and their dress. And as a bride to be, it is not easy to get 100% satisfied with anything :)

People are nice, but I thought the quality was not that great. Most of the dresses I tried felt like they had been altered many times and had sharp pins in there.

My experience with Kara Wedding has been nothing short of wonderful. I started my search for my wedding dress with Kara Wedding, tried out many other dress spots, but ended up right back to Kara Wedding. Maybe it was the service they gave, maybe it was the always accommodating scheduling, or maybe it was just the great attention to detail on what I was specifically looking for. For my main dress, I had made some custom changes to a dress they already had, as well as renting all my bridesmaid dresses here. My dress had a sparkling bodice and mermaid style flare. Everything turned out so beautifully and my girls looked so amazing too. Overall, Kara’s team was so great to me and my whole bridal party. Easy to work with, and gave me their honest opinion on each style of dress I mentioned to them, matching my body type and venue to make sure it was perfect. I even purchased a reception dress from another store, and although the dress had very intricate beading, they were more than happy to help me get it hemmed up so it would be ready to go in time for my wedding. I can’t thank Kara Wedding enough for dressing me up so beautifully. It was a dream, and girls know that the dress is EVERYTHING when it comes to you wedding. Thank you Kara!

Beautiful Dress and nice staff. I borrowed 3 dresses and satisfied 1000% ! Price is reasonable. And they make dress themselves — so its unique. Also they can fix the dress according to your body type. I really want to recommend Kara Wedding for every bride!

Ms. Kara & her associates were so sweet and helpful assisting me on choosing my dress. I went to three other shops before hers and her shop had the best options for me. She also handmade my bolero for a great price! She altered the dress (free) to fit my body and made a beautiful corset on the back. She even catered to my last minute changes a week before the wedding. I highly recommend Kara Wedding!

I can’t help but give Kara Wedding 5 stars. I would give them more if I could. I wanted to rent my dresses, so I shopped around Koreatown for about 2 months. I’ve checked out Tomato, Galleria Wedding, Wedding House, Wedding Time, and a couple others, and to be honest, they all weren’t bad. But I decided to go to Kara, because in my opinion, they had the best quality, variety, and most importantly all at an unbeatable price.
The store is quite small, but has a comforting atmosphere, and the dresses are top quality. I initially went in to rent 5 dresses (1 ceremony dress, 1 reception dress, and 3 bridesmaid dresses), but ended up renting 8 (1 ceremony dress, 1 reception dress, 3 bridesmaid dresses, and 3 more dresses for my photo shoot) because it all fit in my budget! I seriously didn’t get anything close to this offer at any of the other stores. AND, on top of that, my ceremony dress was CUSTOM MADE. I’m 5’1, and very petite. I was having a hard time finding my dream design (I had a small budget but I still dreamed) — and they made it for me! I saw them make it from the ground up, so going in for fitting each appointment was so so exciting! All accessories were also included for each dress! (ie. hair accessories, earrings, belts, bracelets)
On top of their wonderful service, I had a destination wedding so they shipped all of my dresses overseas in perfect condition (I didn’t have to steam or iron any of my dresses — can you believe that?). I shipped everything in the same box right back after my wedding, because I went on my honeymoon the following day for a week. They received it all back, and I didn’t have a single headache with them. I am so thankful for this wonderful experience. I can not thank you enough!

Ahh I hate to leave 2 stars when other people are giving almost 5 stars everywhere. But, not 100% customers can love Kara and I am sure not all people who visited this place chose this shop for their wedding dress.
So, I have been to galleria wedding, wedding house, shinbu, and atelier. All these shops are located in K-​town and Kara was my worst experience.
If we are talking about only the quality of their dresses, then I can raise my stars to 4. It is true that their dress quality is better than the other bridal shop, but shinbu and atelier have a superior quality than Kara. But since shinbu and atelier do only custom dresses, the price ranges are alot higher than here.
So, if you want the superior quality then visit shinbu or atelier (especially atelier, speechless quality of dresses! Read my review) You won’t think Kara has the best quality in Ktown.
The reason that I am giving two stars is becuase of their customer service. The lady who helped me laughed (it was the point where I felt embarassed) when I told her about my envision. My fiancé was there with me and he was so close to take me out.
While I was trying the dresses, the lady complained how my body is blah blah blah… I couldn’t believe my ears. Why are you judging my body shape. Because I was so stupid, I just smiled speechless.
And the dress quality did not impressed me like other reviewers. It was definitely better than some other bridal shops, but the previous shop that I visited literally had shocking amazing quality of dresses (and I chose that shop for my wedding dress).
If you read other reviews of mine, I love to give 4 and 5 stars. Most of my reviews are 4 or 5. But this place, I can barely give two stars because my experience was horrible. I felt depressed, and my fiancé had to try so hard to make me feel better. What kind of dress shopping experience is this.
Yes, they had cozy environment plus dress quality was better than other rental bridal shops. And that is why I am giving at least 2 stars.
You can come here and try their dresses, but my experience wasn’t pleasing. I think their customer service seem depends on who you are. Dont be too nice like me when you walk in or at least dress up like a VIP lady. Then, they might treat you with all respects.

Let me first start off by mentioning that I am wedding coordinator. I have seen so many different wedding dresses on so many different brides that I really thought it would be impossible to find my own wedding dress when the time came for me to get married. Previously, we’ve worked with many other bridal gown rental spots in Koreatown so I really didn’t think of trying out Kara Wedding until I stumbled across it on Unilocal.
When I arrived at the store, I noticed it was a bit smaller and thought I most likely wouldn’t be able to find what I was looking for. But I was wrong… after a brief discussion and assessment of my style and appearance, the friendly staff at Kara Wedding pulled about 3 dresses that she thought would be the most flattering on me. Each one I tried on was beautiful! But was choosing a wedding dress supposed to be this easy? I wasn’t sure if I was making my decision too abruptly though so I decided I should look around a bit more.
The next time I went wedding dress shopping (I took my brutally honest sister along), we stopped by at least 4 other stores just to make sure I wasn’t missing out on anything. My sister thought the dresses at the other stores looked very cheap and was brutally honest on how unflattering they were on me. I had to agree that none of the other stores even matched the quality of Kara. So we went straight back to Kara and knew we were wasting our time looking any further.
When it came time to making my final selection, I realized I really liked the neckline of one of the dresses but liked the overall design of another. Kara suggested that I go with the design I like and completely change the top half of the dress to match the other one I liked. WHAT?! Changing the design on a rental is an option? Not only did they customize the perfect dress for me, but she also found the perfect short dress for my engagement photos and custom designed my bridesmaids dresses with the perfect shade of mint… if you have been looking for mint dresses you know it’s tough to find that pale shade of mint that looks good in person AND in photos. But Kara nailed it! My bridesmaids loved their dresses and I got so many compliments on both of my wedding dresses too. My now husband (who is even picker than I am) absolutely LOVED them!
