Let me start off this review by saying, the best decision you can possibly make in your life is scheduling an appointment with Dr. Kourouyan. My brother and I both had PRK eye surgery performed on the same day. It was the fastest, effective and most painless procedure I have ever experienced. Dr. Kourouyan provided us with a thorough and detailed consultation prior to our surgery. He explained to us what to expect pre and post-​operatively. I reccommend him to anyone that is considering lasik or prk eye surgery

Wowwww! Where do I begin?!
Dr. Kourouyan is one of the most unique and genuine individuals I have ever had the pleasure of crossing paths with. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, and professional but he is also caring and compassionate. When I first began searching for potential eye doctors to perform corrective surgery, I was immediately referred to Dr. Kourouyan by at least 4 different people. Soon after, it seemed as though everybody I talked to was a former patient. Their pleasant experiences spoke volumes. Some of these people had undergone correctlve surgery over 8 years ago.
I was convinced!!!
I booked my consultation and met with Dr. Kourouyan 1 week later. During my visit, he explained everything from A to Z leaving no room for questions, worries or hesitations. He is thorough and so detail oriented. I booked my surgery before leaving his office that evening. I knew that I would never find a better doctor than Dr. Kourouyan.
The surgery itself was a breeze! Quick, painless and absolutely worth it!

Today, I feel like a brand new person. My life has become so much easier since I no longer struggle with contacts or eyeglasses. I see better than ²⁰⁄₂₀ now, ²⁰⁄₁₅ to be exact! I went to 5 years ago (2010), he is the BEST. He sets the standard for how doctors should care for their patients.
I wore bifocal for the better part of my life, have a astigmatism and am frightened of any type of medical procedures. I felt 100% in trusting my eyes with Dr. K.

I honestly do not think it gets better than Dr. Hratch Kourouyan performing LASIK eye surgery on you. The certificates and diplomas you see when you step foot into the office are a small proof of that. He talks so passionately about the procedure, making you super confident that everything will be perfect. He doesn’t give you his office number when you meet, he doesn’t let office staff talk with his patients, he gives you his personal cell phone number and deals with every patient himself to assure everything will be perfect. If your vision is a little blurry, not as good as you want it, if you’re tired of eye glasses and contacts then Dr. Hratch Kourouyan is the only doctor for the job. I just had my post 3 month check up and I’m happy to say my vision is currently better than ²⁰⁄₂₀.

After, almost three months of my surgery. I am not only the happiness person on earth but I can officially say my vision is better then ²⁰⁄₂₀. I saw all the small letters I never got to see. I am truly happy I choose Dr. Kourouyan as my doctor. He is an amazing doctor with 100 percent knowledge about what he does. Without him I wouldn’t be here today looking at this without my glasses. I am truly happy with him. If you need to go in Please do! You will regret it if you don’t. HE IS THE BEST DOCTOR! and btw the surgery isn’t scary!

Doctor Kourouyan has changed my life. Two months ago I had Laser Eye Surgery with a vision of –5.00 and leaving his office today I have ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision. I never thought I would be able to see the world as beautifully as I do today. I no longer have to worry about putting on contacts every single morning and taking them off every night. I cannot even find the words to describe how amazing and passionate this doctor is about his job. I guarantee you won’t have a single regret going to him for any concerns with your vision. He promised a lifetime of perfect vision and that is what he gave me. Dr. Kourouyan is simply phenomenal! He is one of the best in his field! His passion and eye for detail makes all the difference when getting this life-​changing procedure done. After 12 years of putting glasses and contacts I finally decided to get lasik eye surgery. My vision is ²⁰⁄₂₀ now! Perfection! He guides you through the whole procedure so well! It is quick and painless. Recovery time is also very minimal. He has the most up to date technology that is less invasive to the eye. I was moved by the multitude of patient testimonials and certificates on his office wall. I was also referred to by a family member who was a previous patient of his. Anyways, thank you Dr. K!

Dr Kourouyan is the BEST ophthalmologist I have come across. He is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares to assist you in better eye care. Dr K performed LASIK eye surgery on me in Dec of 2010 and years later I am STILL among one of the happiest patients. I’m one of those people who worry (more than necessary), but Dr K assured a smooth process and that’s exactly what I got. The surgery process is easy and well worth it! I cannot express how amazing it is to see again without having to wear glasses or contact lenses every single day. This was by far the best decision I have made for myself. He does repeat things, but that’s only for your benefit. I don’t know about you, but every time I leave a doctor’s office I forget what they said. Dr K wants to make sure you understand what is needed to make sure you have the best eye care possible. He is one of the most humble and kindest doctors I have ever met. Not to mention, once you have lasik surgery with Dr K you become his patient for life and he is always available to see you at no charge for your visits. How awesome is that?! Dr. Kourouyan is AMAZING! He did the PRK surgery on my eyes (–1.75 each eye) which took 3 days to heal (fyi it was the best bed rest I had in a while) and it was completely painless!!!
Dr. Kourouyan is the most caring, detailed doctor you will ever meet. He will take his time to make sure EVERY question and concern is addressed. And yes there was a few instances where I had to wait a little later than my scheduled appointment but it didn’t bother me because I know how important it is for him to make sure every patient is taken care of and for his patients to get a full understanding of the procedure and process of it all.
By the way, he also did the PRK surgery for my husband over 7 years ago (he was –8) and until today he has had NO issues and sees ²⁰⁄₂₀! We have referred him to ALL our family and friends and recommend him to anyone that whats to change their life by getting rid of their glasses and lenses. The surgery is absolutely worth it and will save you thousands of dollars and hours spent at the optometrist in the long run.

I don’t know what kind of doctor he is, but all I can say is, if you have an appointment with him be ready to wait extra 3 – 4 hours. On my first appointment I wait 3 hours, the second one was at 5:30 pm but I left at 8:00 without seeing him, because he still have 2 patients inside. Also be prepared to hear the same thing for 100 times. By the way the office is very ugly.

Dr. Kourouyan has changed my life! At first, I was very skeptical about doing surgery at all because well it’s my eyes. So I went to several different doctors before I decided to let Dr Kourouyan do my eye surgery. He did PRK on both my eyes and it has turned out absolutely fantastic. I can see clearly now. This has ended up being one of the best decisions of my life.

He is extremely knowledgable and is an expert at what he does, and I would never say that lightly. He did the same procedure for my sister years before and she couldn’t be happier with the results.
