This spot closed, they had the best tortillas, they made with Non GMO Corn which is awesome since all major brands like Guerrero use GMO Corn, I will travel to the Arlington Heights location for these tortillas they are the best Ever!

So I heard from one of the staff they are closing!!! I don’t know if that is true or not but THATSUCKS! Just found the best menudo and now they are closing. This week guess end of the month March 2015. Well it was good while it lasted. Got one last menudo and caldo if that’s the name. To me it’s the Filipino version of Nilaga. Beef, cabbage, yucca, squash and carrots. The chili relleno is so good also. And you get to pick which sauce you want on top. I picked the not so spicy one. The flan is amazing also. Pineapple pudding and bread pudding was good. They make their own tortilla also. Organic. But sad to see the place go. The bakery employee spoke English and was sweet. The food section employee was nice but could not speak English. as much as I could understand she did great. Parking in a private lot. You share parking with lots of other stores. You can use credit but you have to spend $ 10.00

I can only speak about the bakery part. I drove around the WeHo/Fairfax/Hollywood area trying to find just a little mexican bakery that would have pan dulce(aka mexican sweet breads). Muy difficult to find, but I finally came across a place on Sunset & Gower and wouldn’t ya know their electricity is out, so they’ve closed up early. –__– A guy in the parking lot referred me to this other place nearby in a relatively long/narrow strip mall near the Hollywood Cemetery on SaMo Blvd(at SaMo and Van Ness/Bronson — you can enter at either light). Yes it’s a dumpy little plaza but man did I feel like I was transported back to the panaderia’s in the small midwestern town where I grew up. They have the traditional see-through cases with the doors you pull open. Pick your pastry with the tongs and use the big tray to hold them. Ah memories. Got about 5 items & a tres leche from behind the counter/case… my total was $ 7. My gringo I was with was very excited at all the stuff we got for such a low price. Also, I paid cash. no se if they accept credit cards. PARKING: diagonal pull in parking spots… traffic flow is ‘one-way’ although that didn’t stop this other vehicle from traveling right at us in the wrong direction.

This is a cafeteria style hole in the wall in a strip mall with foods out on hot pans. Delicious foods, mind you. But for a meat option with rice and beans I certainly should not have to pay over $ 10. There is lots of variety and everything looks yummy. But the prices are ridiculous for the hot items. Not sure about the cold. I hate to give 3 stars since the food was indeed so tasty, but this is LA, we do Latin American food here. You have to be competitive.

Without a doubt, these guys have the best tres leches cake I’ve ever eaten. I used to love Porto’s, but they’ve changed their style. This place has it in the deep dish, cold and wet. I’m so happy to find this place

Bought two salvadorian tamales and they were not even, no where near cooked. I’m Honduran, so I know how tamales are supposed to look and taste and they looked and tasted awful!

I haven’t tried the food side yet, but I stopped at the bakery recently to pick up some pan de muerto. It was delicious, and just 75 cents a loaf! The bakery is not intimidating for those like me who don’t know much about Mexican pastries — there’s a big case that’s all self-serve(use the tongs and a tray.) You then take your order to the counter, and pay. Most of the prices are not marked, but they all seem to be cheap. I also got some excellent budin bread pudding — just $ 1.25 for a big, heavy piece that lasted for two breakfasts. It’s in a strip mall with a huge parking lot, and worth stopping in for some bread or sweets if you’re in the neighborhood.

Hola amigas y amigos. If you gusta masa, tortillas, pasteles, pan or any other comida tipico de centroamerica, than you should eat here. Just down the street from Zermano’s and across the street from the awesome taco truck at the car wash is gem of a spot called La Adelita No. 2. Nothing fancy here, but I loved the long walk along the counter while looking at fresh stuff. A fun discovery. Tried the machaca con juevos with arroz y frijoles. Going back at 7:30 am tomorrow.

This place has good food but what really kills it is this place is dirty the bathroom smells like rotting wood and the have no soap. The service is bad I didn’t get my fries together with my food. La adelita… If you clean yourself up and get better employees you deserve five star…

Went here and they were out of a few things, despite the«B» rating on the door. Got the 3 taco combo and an asada burrito. Burrito is dry, steak is dry, and there’s something weird that tastes like peppermint in it. Not a huge fan of the steak at all. Worst steak yet from a Mexican place since I’ve moved to L.A. My girl got a bunch of stuff she was really happy with it, thus the 3 stars instead of 1 or 2, and I’m very generous with reviews. The food and service were just… sub par. And I go to dives/hole in the wall restaurants all the time. I went to the bakery side and the girl seemed frustrated like she didn’t want to help some gringos get a bunch of pastries that were behind the counter and un-reachable($ 10 worth of pastries as I had to get cash because they don’t combine the food and baked goods for reference and were being weird about taking a card). I liked it a lot, because it was legit and everything was in Spanish. (But… Thanks for making it easy on the non-Spanish folks who come in, not trying to be all«SPEAKENGLISHORLEAVE», but at least write the menu out somewhere so gringos can read it, they even do that in Mexico when I go… C’mon man!) I’m learning– but I don’t understand everything. And I really shouldn’t have to struggle to order some food from here when I’m on Santa Monica Blvd… Just sayin’… So don’t get the steak, chicken is bomb. Don’t annoy the pastry girl by asking for anything. And… enjoy, because it’s legit and good. But bring a translator for the menu if you’re a super gringo like me. And here, I’ll even show you such consideration in my review: Fuimos allí y que estaban fuera de algunas cosas, a pesar de la «B» sobre la puerta. (But..

According to this they’ve been her since 1981, not the greatest Pan Dulce but the best Mexican pan dulce I’ve found in the Hollywood area… The place is BIG they even make their own tortillas and sell Masa, I expected a better variety of pan dulce their were many basic types they didn’t have or were out of but since I was there just after 8:00AM I just expected more than what they had. Rieles de Pina — Bread was dry, I’m wondering if they were fresh?! 2-Stars Refugiado de Guava — Although it was good they can’t touch Portos on their guava pastries 4-Stars Empenada de Guava — Well this was a little surprise as I thought the empenada was custard filled, not bad, not bad 3.5-Stars Elote — Another that I thought was just ok but on the dry side. 2-Stars Bolillo con queso y Jalapeño — Bolillo was nice and soft, it had plenty of queso and jalapenos 4-.5-Stars AVG: — 3.2-Stars

Been coming to this spot since I was like 2 years old. I am 23 now. They have amazing bread. Mexican conchas, cupcakes, etc. The kitchen is still there. The service is fair, but when my boyfriend and I go we usually go to our girl. She hooks it up. Gives us more than we pay!!! The place has changed– towards the end of the La Adelita you can see a market. They sell chips, canned goods, milk, fresh meat– like a mini mart. Try come chocolate and vanilla conchas. The tortillas are the best! None of that Guererro stuff. At the kitchen I say try out– Carne con Papas, the yellow rice, and refried pinto beans.
