Located in a slightly shady area, and the interior isn’t great, but the service is great here. I came here around 6pm on a Thursday because I got a flat tire on my bike – I was out in 20 minutes (only because there were two other customers who were being helped before me, and there was only one worker) with a good-​as-​new bike. For only about $ 6, I was very pleased with the sincerity of the worker, how fast he worked, and quality of work.
If you ever have bike problems, you should definitely come here! They also seemed to sell bikes too, so you might be able to find some hidden gems here as well!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. My daughter was moving from Boston to LA and we shipped her bike in pieces. Francisco was so incredibly helpful with arranging getting the bike to town, getting it put back together, etc. He and I were texting about details during the past month, and we spoke twice on the phone. His amazing customer service made a 3,000mi journey seem like we just drove down the street! Thank you thank you thank you for being so amazing! I know my daughter will be a permanent customer now, and I will certainly recommend LA Bicycles to anyone!

I work graveyard shift. I need my bike repaired and the reviews on Unilocal for this shop are pretty good. So I stay up a little past my bedtime, load my bike on to the Metro at 9:00 am and get to the shop a little before 10:00. At 10:05 the shop is still closed. I’m thinking that maybe the website has their hours wrong or perhaps that they’re running a few minutes late. I call the shop and ask the guy who answers what their hours are today. He tells 10 to 7. I point out that I’m in front of the shop and they’re not open. He then tells me that he’ll open in another 25 minutes. Maybe this shop deserves the excellent reviews it has on Unilocal.I won’t know. All I get out of this experience is two wasted hours on the bus when I could have been sleeping.

This is the best bicycle shop I know around USC. Their staffs are very friendly and would help maintain your bike if you buy one at their shop. I had an old bike and the seat was not good, they replaced the seat with a brand new one for free!

This shop is hands down the best bike shop to stop at if your in need of some repairs. Very close to USC and the service and prices will be better than their competitors. Made my road bike feel like new again.

Very customer service-​oriented and prompt in service. Nice people who are respectful of their — even to students, which is good since they are are few blocks from the University of Southern California. It’s one of the few shops open on Sundays and their prices were lower than others I priced. They are direct — and will give you prices by phone, unlike another shop that told me to come in with my bike so they could give me a price on the work needed. (Right…)
I came to LA Bycycles requesting numerous repairs on my college student’s bike to last the school year, such as adding new tires. They advised me that only one tire needed changing. How many shop owners would be that honest? Another bonus — this bike shop provides free air and lubes to customers.

Really helpful staff and extremely informative for a first time bike owner. They even offered me free air fill up on my tires and a tune up!

Found this place on Unilocal after someone stole my two tires, seat, lights, and ripped some cables on my bike. Francisco was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and he helped me pick out the best options to make my bike better than ever. I felt confident in them handling my bike immediately, and icing on the cake was that they rebuilt the bike same day, within about 4 hours from when I dropped it off! Price was great, service was great, most importantly my bike is feeling better than ever. Highly recommend

The guys here are all experts at repairing bikes. They started to fix bikes when they were teens. And I love to talk to the boss here as well.

I’ve never posted a review before in my life, but decided to post one for the first time today because of how great my experience with LA Bicycles was. I walked into the shop with a new bike that needed a lower seat (I couldn’t lower it manually on my own; I needed special tools to do it, which I simply didn’t have). In the past when I went to bike repair shops to ask for seat adjustments (because it’s not easy finding a bike small enough for a 5’2″ woman), I was typically charged around $ 5– but as soon as I walked into LA Bicycles, I was greeted by extremely kind individuals (whose name I unfortunately forgot, because I’m horrible at remembering names). They immediately came to take a look at my bike, and proceeded to not only lower my seat, but also oil up my chain and pump my bike tires– all while engaging in conversation with me. At the end, when I was ready to pull out my wallet, they just waved it off and said, «no charge!» with smiles on their faces.
I’m posting this review not entirely because I wasn’t charged, but because I was struck by the excellent service and the extreme kindness with which they greeted me and treated me. I will absolutely be coming back again when I encounter future bike issues!

This place is awesome– fantastic customer service. Francisco and Edgar are the best. Great prices for the bikes– they also come with a warranty and after it’s over free maintenance on basic bike issues. Overall a very good experience. If you’re in town and need a bike or at USC and have to get one come to this place.

Prices are not expensive.
You can have a ride on any kind of bike here and they are also happy to recommend you according to your interest.
They are patient, and they will not force you to buy things you don’t really need.
Free air here.

I haven’t ridden a bike in years and decided to drop by the nearby LA Bicycles to check some out. I was greeted upon entering the store and the customer service was great. I had many questions to ask and they took their time to explain everything from the types of bicycles that are available to the types of locks to use to help prevent a bike from getting stolen. After test driving a couple, I enjoyed the XDS hybrid the most. It was a bit tall for me, but I will be coming back to check out new arrivals. Thanks!

Good fast service very honest knocked off $ 50 on the price as well as for a reflector light. Mostly sells used bikes but you can find a new one around. Friendly too. Highly recommend.

Friendly and helping stuff, bought a used bicycle for $ 65. The store is big and the bikes are well-​organised, I only think that the basket ($ 23) and the lock ($ 13) were kinda expensive. They have 2-​week warranty and they also give free air for tyres, free oil and free chain maintanance.

Always great service. They always hook me up when it comes to getting a new bike or fixing the one I own. They also have very affordable services and prices. Probably the best in the area. I definitely recommend them.

Best service in all of LA. I’ve been to every single bike shop Los Angeles has to offer and none came close to LA Bicycles. Thier prices are unbeatable! I can’t even begin to express my amazement at their ridiculous low prices. I got a new hybrid and I couldn’t be happier, thanks guys!!!

Excellent experience today! I needed a decent bike (i.e. aluminum frame, high-​end components, etc.) and couldn’t spend a fortune. Friends were suggesting crap from the «big box stores» (WalMart, Target, etc.), but I got a MUCH better bike for still less than what I would have spent there. This place even beat the prices I’ve been seeing on Craigslist (I think bike owners sometimes get emotionally attached to the $ they’ve put into a bike).
These guys really helped out — had exactly what I needed, tuned up the bike before I left, and just generally made me feel like I’d found the right place (I’ve been looking and looking and looking).

Came in here after going to Lions Bike shop and having a poor experience. Lions was going to over charge me and couldn’t even communicate with me why and so I left and tried to find something else. I found this bike shop online and decided to try it out.
The service was great! As it turns out they charged me half of what Lions told me I was going to need to pay. They even did extra and greased my kick stand and offered me water while I waited
They were friendly, honest and very quick. They also told me about the u-​club app, which gives 5% off.
Overall, great experience, I will return!
