I was born and raised in East Los Angeles in the 1960’s. Now I live in the San Diego area. Fortunately, I get to visit my mother who lives in the same home when I’m not busy at work. I ‘ve had to resort to eating out at take outs. Unfortunately, I tend to be very selective of taste. Also, one has to pay extra for small portions of great tasting food. And to top it off, I want it to be authentic. Needless to say I want an A grade.(my daughter is a public health inspector !) Today, I had the opportunity to enjoy a meal that satisfied my needs. This place was recommended by my mother. She was right on ! I was very pleased with the taste and portions. The price was right. I recommend this place for those 2 qualities(plus A grade) We did not dine in since mom lives near by. Thus, I can not comment on their service. I did have one problem with the need to practically beg for extra salsas. I was initially given one small plastic cup. We ordered quite a bit of food for 3 individuals and only one salsa :(I went back and was told 2 per order. Upon getting home, I realized she only gave me 5 cups(not the 2 per order x 3 = 6) Oh well, I still enjoyed the taste. BTW My mother informed me they started from a catering truck near Cesar Chavez Ave(I remember it as Brooklyn Ave as a kid) they now have this small restaurant which joins a small bakery. I think they must be thinking of expanding to other areas, as I ’ ve learned by reading these comments, there is a catering truck with the same name. They go out to check out the market and introduce their great tasting food to the local community. They start getting regular customers and then eventually it’s brick and mortar. Good for them !!. Only in America. Hard work and Perseverance.(and the right product or service.) I hope to dine next time. I’ ll check out their service and comment next time. I forgot to mention, I take service very seriously in selecting my diner. I do not dine at a Chinese restaurant near my home in San Diego because of a rude attitude. Great tasting food but poor service. I now refuse to patronize that restaurant. Also, I forgot to share photos. My food was gone in no time ! :) next time.

This place is literally the beat pastor tacos I know of! I can eat this everyday, no joke! $ 1 one taco! Bammmm, heaven! The stuff is friendly, it’s a taco truck, so you know the roll. Order your food and eat standing up. Great service every time. It’s on the corner of Larga and Fletcher. 4 stars because it’s obviously outside and I love a place to sit, but for street tacos it’s top notch!

I think people are confusing this Taco Truck, of similar name, parked near the restaurant & area, with the Restaurant, «Taqueria Que Si Llena», if you try to type it on the phone, you get directed to this — the Taco Truck«La Que Si Llena» instead and it’s really confusing, what adds to the confusion is that this truck is listed on Unilocal as address being 3600 Cesar Chavez, ELA, which is the exact address of Superior Grocers… probably because they park on the side of that business… Whew! Too much confusion. Anyhow, the Taco Truck is just as excellent, but they are two separate entries. Also, written on the side of this Taco Truck is: «La Que Si Llena» 5959 Maywood, Huntington Park, CA. Well I can vouch for the Taco Truck, it’s pretty good, husband has had their tacos & says they are damn tasty. Just make sure when your trying to check in or post pictures(like I was) you type the correct name(remember, «Taqueria Que Si Llena» also has a bakery on the side of their restaurant)…awww so confusing!

I like the tacos here, had the carne asada and the lengua. Lengua, I liked better due to it not being so dry and very flavorful. The carne asada is good, but a bit dry. People who work here are very nice and it’s also a plus to know some Spanish. Good place to spot by, on a late night around this area.

East Los Angeles has many places to eat especially when it come to Mexican food. But I have to admit this taco truck gives you What you pay for $ 1.25 a taco but not the small tacos like«king taco» these are full size tortilla people. The Carne asada is so good the meat Nice juicy and tender top it off with salsa verde. Al pastor simply delisios. They park at the Same spot each night so there easy to find, a car wash is right infront of them and a superior right across the street. Remember there tacos will have you come back for more, and not to mention they sale Tortas too!

I love this taco truck in East Los; it is my go to spot for late night munchies. I have been going here for years and I love the price and the size of the tacos. You get a full size tortilla and great tasting meat for $ 1.25 and my wife loves the tortas there.

The taco truck is located close to their main restaurant and they serve similar food. The Taco truck of course is more along the lines of tacos/burritos but do not let that deter you. $ 1.25 for tacos and $ 3.25 for burritos. I think most places their meat tends to taste pretty similar, what really matters to me is the tenderness of the meat. La Que has it in spades. unlike the very average King Taco or Sergio Taco, La Que’s meat is incredibly juicy. from Al pastor down to the Lengua. On top of that they use really tasty burrito tortilla. Some places don’t seem to take the quality of the tortilla into the equation. Some places are too thin so the meat seeps through or the meat dominates the meal. Just like you don’t want a hamburger with a crappy bun! La Que’s tortilla has a little doughness to it that sops up the savory nature of their meat. I highly enjoyed this place! My only wish was that their salsa was better, it was spicy but really not noticeable. that being said their tacos stood up without much salsa!

After the Clippers beat the Wolves this past Monday, we wanted to enjoy the win, our $ 1 tickets, and celebrate my friend starting MVP chants for Kaman. We tried to get some tacos or bacon-wrapped hot dogs around the staples center but the clippers get no love after their first win. It seemed like EVERY taco truck was closed that night and we went to the first one we saw, I am so glad we did. I had one each of the lengua, cabeza, and pastor tacos. Both the lengua and cabeza were very tender and pretty flavorful. All they needed was a light drizzle of lime and you’re golden. The pastor had lots of flavor, next time I’ll try a burrito. Tacos were $ 1.25 and the burritos were $ 3.25, the carne asada wasn’t bad either. The tacos are a little bit bigger than the usual taco truck variety, they roll them up in deli paper.

Taco truck: Stop 3 So there’s another restaurant on Unilocal with the same name, but I believe it’s more of a brink and mortar style taqueria. So perhaps the truck deserves a separate entry. Mainly because the tacos are awesome and you’re likely to be harassed while sitting on the curb eating(you know, being called a homo by some dude with a megaphone driving around Cesar Chavez), something that probably wouldn’t happen in the restaurant. But you never know. The three tacos(carnitas, carne asada, and al pastor) were cooked mad quick. Nothing better than being able to satisfy your craving for tacos almost immediately. Nevertheless, the craving diminished a bit since we already downed eight other tacos. Nestled in sheets of deli paper, unwrapping the tacos made it seem like christmas came early. Cheesy, I know. But tacos are badass and christmas never comes too soon. The carne asada with onions, cilantro, and a bit of salsa proved to be one of the best asada tacos on our trip. Spicy, moist, delicious. The carnitas were big and moist, while the al pastor was appropriately shredded and one of the spiciest al pastor’s I’ve ever had. Best yet, La Que Si Llena has some bombass chipotle salsa rojo. We brought small containers of it back home for personal use. But then I left them on top of the car. Oops.
