We specialize in Conservative and Ethical Dentistry while utilizing the latest technological advancements. At LA Smiles Dental Spa, you can expect to be treated with our utmost care, our patients comfort and care is our highest priority. Coming to the dentist isn’t always the most exciting experience but we offer a wide variety of services in order to make the visit as pleasant as possible for each of patients such as: Flat Sceen TVs in each room, Warm face towels, neck and shoulder pillows, light refreshments and much more.

At LA Smiles Dental Spa we follow a strict patient centered approach, we make sure each of our patient’s needs are thoroughly addressed.

Our practice incorporates a Green Dentistry protocol, which advocates the use of only environmental friendly materials, which are metal free, Mercury free and Bio-​compatable in order to safely and effectively treat our patients. We spend the time needed with each patient in order to understand their dental health to develop individualized treatment plans to work towards total dental wellness.

We provide dental care for the entire family! Children, teenagers, adults, and elderly. We offer a variety of treatments based on our patient’s needs which include: Professional in office Zoom laser whitening, Porcelain Veneers, Crowns, Tooth Colored Fillings, Implants, Invisalign, Cleanings, Extractions, and many more. Dr. Ghiam was born and raised in Los Angeles where he attended the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and received his undergraduate degree in Psychology. He attended the prestigious University of Southern California (USC) where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery D.D.S. degree. Dr. Ghiam and his wife continue support their local community.

After having done a lot of research on local dentists in West Hollywood and after having met with many of them… I’m happy to say I made the best decision with the benefit of hindsight. Dr. Ghiam and his staff were remarkable, timely, and very fairly priced. I had eight veneers placed over the course of a week that look amazing, just look at my picture. I give my highest recommendation to LA Smiles Dental Spa!

I came across Dr. Ghiam while researching online for a new dental dr office and by far I have to say it’s the best. Right off the back Fabiola was amazing from scheduling my appointment to helping me out the day of my visit. Hilda, was also amazing. Made me feel so comfortable, extremely nice and friendly. Last but not least Dr. Ghiam, explained everything detailed as he went along working on my teeth full of information and without a doubt had an answer to all of my questions. I am extremely satisfied and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new Dentist. Deserves a 10 star.

I made an appointment online and was scheduled within a few days. I am a very busy UCLA student and this is extremely convenient. They take make insurance which is huge being that I am on tight budget. Fabiola in the front explained everything to me in detail and how my co pay and deductible works. I saw Betty for my cleaning. She was so gentle and diligent, and even went over hot brush and floss. I then saw Dr Ghiam for my check up. He went though my x rays with me on modern digital screen. I have these white spots on my teeth that a previous dentist have always wanted to cover up with veneers. Dr Ghiam recommended I first try a treatment with a special paste, which reduced my white spots drastically. He is an extremely conservative and ethical doctor and I appreciate that. I will see him over the course of six to monitor my progress.
The whole La Smiles team is fantastic, superior customer service.

I was referred to Dr Ghiam by my cousin when I had a huge infection. The side of my face was swollen and I really needed help. Dr Ghiam immediately saw me and explained to me what has happened. I had a root canal done years ago which had gotten reinfected. Dr Ghiam called in a favor and had a root canal specialist arrange to redo my root canal. After the root canal was redone I saw Dr Ghiam to replace the faulty crown which has leaked and cause the reinfection to begin with. My new crown looks so natural and life like that I can’t believe this tooth has been through so much.
If anyone has ever had dental pain they know what I am talking about. The fact that Dr Ghiam was able to see me right away was priceless. He runs a high quality practice and I was able to contact the doctor even after hours which is priceless.

I scheduled to see Dr. Ghiam last Friday and I was so pleased with the whole experience. The location, staff and especially the dentist made the visit so relaxing. Dr. Ghiam is the most caring dentist I have ever had. He told me exactly what to expect before he did the procedure, the level of pain to expect, and he also answered all of my questions really clearly. He’s also really patient and super nice. I really felt welcomed and important from the moment I walked in the office. I moved here a couple of years ago from Atlanta and I’ve been in search of a good dental office to recommend to my friends and family. I’ve gone to ones in Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Encino, Tarzana, Santa Monica to name a few but Dr. Ghiam was by far the best out of all of them. I will return.

This is my first review ever. I am not one to go online and waste time doing this but this office really deserves it. They went above and beyond to helped me out. I chipped my tooth playing basketball last night, Friday night, and today is my sisters wedding. I called La Smiles at around 9:30pm and left a message, Dr Ghiam called me back in like 3 minutes. In about 45 minutes He met me at his office. He was dressed in a suit and clearly was somewhere and left to take care of me.
Dr Ghiam I don’t know how to thank you enough. You fixed my chip in about 15 minutes, incredible job, I can’t even tell where it is. To top it all off he called me today to check on me and asked if there was any sensitivity because the chip was close to the nerve… And there is none so I’m so happy about that.
I will be a patient for life. Thank you again

I love this place! I had a check up with Dr Ghiam. He was super down to earth and just plain honest. He knows his stuff and I really feel comfortable under his care. I just had my cleaning done with Kate who’s was so nice and gentle but extremely thorough. Following my cleaning I did Zoom whitening! My teeth are white and feel amazing! They checked my insurance and took care of everything, even though I don’t have my card, Fabiola was so patient and sweet and spoke with insurance for 30 minutes until it was settled. See you guys in 6 months! Dr Ghiam is the best dentist! He really cares about his patients.

I have been a patient at LA smiles since 2008. I have always had top-​notch pain-​free care. They’ve corrected my sensitivity and relieved my lifelong dental anxiety!
I’ve been toying with the idea of getting veneers for many years now. I had spoken to Dr. Ghiam about it many times and finally decided to take the plunge this past fall. He did not pressure me at all. He was very up front about and spoke to me frequently throughout the entire process. I was really nervous about making the final decision so this really helped. The whole thing took several weeks but is by far the best dental decision I have made.
I’ve been embarrassed to smile for years and now I get compliments all the time, from strangers even that I have «pretty teeth». He made my teeth look natural too, like they were supposed to from the beginning.
PS Kate is a great hygienist! AND — Fabi and Dr Ghiams wife at the front desk are also great! Go here for honest dentistry.

Right when I walked in I was very impressed. Very nice and clean office. The front office girl is very nice. She checked me in and I didn’t have to wait so long for the doctor to see me. I got my X-​rays and cleaning done. The doctor was amazing. Explain everything to me and answered all my questions. I really recommend this place, the staff is very nice. I will be coming back.

La Smiles is a wonderful dental office. I was referred there by my friend who had some veneers done there and they looked incredible. I just had an appointment there and they were extremely accommodating from beginning to end. Fabiola took care of all of my insurance stuff and everything was already verified before I got there. I probably only waited for a couple of minutes. I saw Dr Joshua Ghiam for my annual check up. They took digital x rays and everything was right there on the screen. Dr Ghiam went though everything with me in detail. I could tell he really cares about his patients well being. He spent extra time taking photos of the inside of my mouth as well. I take excellent care of my teeth and have never had or needed any dental work, but I do grind my teeth at night and that was the only thing Dr Ghiam recommended I get fitted for and use. I know I could trust him, he didn’t try to make me do anything extra like previous dentists I have been to. After the exam, the hygienist Dean gave me an excellent cleaning. This whole experience has been so satisfying and I will definitely be a patient for life!

I was referred to Dr. Ghiam’s office by a friend, and I had such a wonderful experience! It was easy to make an appointment, and they are very accommodating. The wait wasn’t long at all, and his staff was very professional and welcoming.
I came in for a cleaning/​check up, and it was the BEST cleaning I’ve ever gotten! Dr. Ghiam is so thorough and detailed. He takes his time and makes sure you’re feeling okay throughout the process. He was also comprehensive while going over the procedure to make me feel safe and confident in his work.

This is an excellent office!!! I was referred to Dr. Ghiam for an emergency and he was able to see me immediately… for a person with anxiety, Dr. Ghiam’s relaxed and professional personality made me feel calmer and put me at ease. He has a gentle touch while working and explained the process to me in terms I would understand to make me feel more comfortable. The office staff was very pleasant and accommodating during my crisis. The staff was efficient and quick when contacting my insurance and made the process alot eaiser for the patient. I went to Dr. Ghiam’s office for the first time a couple months ago, and was blown away by the services provided. I went in for a routine cleaning and X-​rays. Dr. Ghiam spent about 45 min after the cleaning, looking at my X-​rays with me, and explaining what it all means. I’m someone who likes to understand what is going on, and he used a special camera in my mouth to show me exactly what we were looking at in the X-​rays. He was able to thoroughly explain what we were looking at, what problems I needed to address, and what areas could be left alone. Most dentists I have been to don’t take the time to do this! Additionally, he worked in a timely manner, his staff was friendly, and making appointments was super easy.

Dr. Ghiam is truly a gem. I’ve been a patient of his for years and that will continue to be the case. He stayed late for me because I wasn’t able to get out of work on time.
