Meet the Business Owner

Jacques F.

Business Owner

Jacques Fiorentino, a native of Paris, France, has always valued the art of entertaining. He moved from France to Florida as a young man and soon discovered the connection between restaurants and other forms of entertainment: «You captivate an audience for a time and deliver an experience. That’s entertainment»

In his first position as Maitre D’ at the Clearwater Beach Yacht Club’s restaurant La Grenouille. Fiorentino was promoted to Manager and developed the skills and experience that would soon land him his first General Manager position at the newly created Sand Key Club, making it the most sought after reservation in town.

In 1975, Fiorentino’s former colleague invited him to Los Angeles to work for Spectrum Foods (Prego, Harry’s Bar, Chianti.) He’s has been a Los Angeles resident since.

His career as a restaurateur was interrupted in 1980 when he sold a TV script and went on to pursue a 30-yr career as a writer and producer. He is marking his return with L’Assiette.
