Law Offices of Arsen Pogosov is a low-​cost, full service bankruptcy law firm. Primarily we file Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases in Bankruptcy Court on behalf of our clients. We also do bankruptcy related litigation, including fraudulent and preferential transfer defense, and non-​dischargeability defense.

We have a very competitive fee structure:

Chapter 7:

$ 1050 flat fee for most cases (includes court filing fee); For high-​income or business chapter 7s I may charge $ 1300 depending on the complexity of the case.

Chapter 13:

$ 500 up front for the court filing fee; attorneys fees are paid through the plan with money which would otherwise go to creditors. In cases where the plan payment will only be $ 100 per month I may charge a little more up front.

We routinely confirm Chapter 13 plans paying only 7 cents (or less) on the dollar to unsecured creditors. We have a 98% success rate with our Chapter 7s.

We are currently running a $ 575 promotion for certain low-​income and/​or low-​debt chapter 7 cases. Not everyone will qualify for the promotion price.

Our main payment plan is that you can pay only half the fee up front in order to file your case, if you promise to pay the other half one month later when we go to court together.

History

Established in 2010.

Arsen Pogosov only does bankruptcy, and nothing else. He personally handles all of his cases. He is very accessible, and can always be reached on his cell phone, via text message or email. All client calls are answered immediately or returned within one business day, no exceptions.

Over the years, he has filed over 300 cases in Bankruptcy Court, discharging over $ 23,000,000 in secured and unsecured debt for his clients. He has a 98% success rate with his chapter 7s. Unsecured creditors routinely get only around 7 cents or less on the dollar in his chapter 13 cases. 0% chapter 13 plans are not uncommon.

Business Owner

I am a «top-​30%» graduate of Southwestern Law School. I received my bachelor’s degree from UCLA, 2001 (B.A. History, cum laude).

I am admitted to practice law in the State Courts of California (California Superior Court). I am also admitted to practice law in the Federal District Court for the Central District of California. The Central District covers Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties.

I am a member of various professional associations, including the Central District Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys Association (CDCBAA), and the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA).

From 2002 to 2007 I served in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Flight Officer. I flew in the E-​2C Hawkeye 2000 aircraft and provided airborne early warning to our fleet. I have deployed to the Persian Gulf as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF 2005).
