Lenore followed in the footsteps of her father who was a Notary Public in California at the Bradbury Building in the Los Angeles Civic Center. The Solis family has operated a business at the same location in Atwater Village since 1976. Tax preparation and translation are key elements of the services offered to their clients.

I had the worst experience and service from Lenore. The magnitude of it just revealed itself as I got back from being away for two months overseas. Not only did Lenore continually miss any appointment we made over the phone or deadlines that she set but she lead me on for two months that she was amending my return after she submitted my taxes by the deadline in October but I just found out that she never even filed it until November (incorrectly I might add). After I left the country and which she knew I would be, She would not reply to any of my emails until I had my brother call her as I was overseas with limited wifi and even then she kept lying to both of us. My emails to her were nothing but respectful and patient. Several times my brother and I asked her if she wasn’t able to complete my taxes just let us know so we could move forward with someone else but she kept changing the dates and saying she would have something done by a certain date and when that date came and went, still nothing. She promised she would have my taxes done before I left the country but that was never the case and she has yet to still reply to my emails. even though I did everything in my power to prepare and help her including categorizing all my expenses for her, I just opened my mail and not only were my taxes filed incorrectly as half of my expenses were never included, thanks to her unprofessionalism and incompetence I have also incurred $ 1600 in late penalties for my taxes not being filed by the October deadline. It started off well but quickly went sour as I have never been so disregarded and treated so irrelevant before. I never write reviews but want to at least prevent anyone from going thru the disrespect and financial mess I am currently in. I will be reporting her to the better business bureau also because it not right to play with people’s hard earned money and lie to them. I wouldn’t even give 1 star but I can’t post otherwise.

My husband and I went in to ask about services to complete our marriage license. Lenore was so rude! She had a nasty disposition and spoke to us with a condescending tone. We have no idea why but decided to walk out before she could finish her rant. Because it wasn’t worth it. There are too many people with better attitudes, communication skills and customer service to use this business. Do your self a favor and NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE!

Been doing my taxes with Lenore for over six years, she is fast, inexpensive, knowledgeable, pleasant, takes interest in my life and how things are going. Lenore is Awesome! I went here to get my taxes done. She was quick and accurate. She gives you the opportunity to see what she is typing in just to give you the added security that she is typing in the right information. You can tell that she is dedicated to her work. She also helped me with a child custody response to other parent’s declaration. She knew what she was doing and she really helped me complete a thorough response. It was stressful for me, but she knew how to keep me focused. She gave me instructions on the process and I felt confident. Overall I would recommend her to anyone. Her rates are good as well.

Found Lenore on Unilocal and due to the good reviews she has on Unilocal I decided to come do my taxes with her. She was very helpful, knowledgeable, and quick. She was able to accommodate my schedule. Her rates are more than reasonable, way cheaper than H&R block (I used to get my taxes done there).
While getting my taxes done I also found that she also provides immigration services. I also made an appointment right there for my citizenship petition. She was so helpful and able to answer all the questions I had about the whole process. And again her prices are so reasonable.
Overall, I left very happy with the services she provided me with. I would definitely recommend her services to anyone.

I’m sure this lady is good at what she does considering all of the raving reviews on Unilocal but this review is solely based on her shitty attitude. She’s loud and somewhat crass.
I accompanied my grandmother two weeks ago to file her taxes and it was going well till she realized she was missing a form from Social Security. She advised us to get the copy and bring it back to her so that she could finish the last portion of the file. We did just that (it took 3 hours to get it, mind you), we got it though. We went back to her office and she let us know that she couldn’t get to it right then and there because she was with a client but that she would call me when it was ready.
Two weeks later and still no call. Came back with grandma and mom to make sure it was ready and turns it she didn’t even finish filing. She proceeds to ask if we dropped off her file and we said yes (thinking that she was talking about the SSI form because it was the only info she was missing), little did we know that when she meant file, she meant the actual yellow folder. So now she’s looking around her office like a madwoman looking for it and she keeps asking if we dropped it off. Seriously lady, had you done your job like you said you would’ve we wouldn’t be in here waiting for you to get your shit together. Then as I’m trying to ask my grandma if she remembers where the Manila folder is, this lady is shouting at me from her desk. I’m trying to keep my cool but I couldn’t answer her goddamn question with her loud mouth yapping from across the room. I offer to go back home to look for it so she can get started filing my mom’s paperwork and she refuses.
She finally finds the sheet and instead of apologizing for the misunderstanding she goes on to tell at us how she didn’t have the folder, but the sheet. Good, you found the f-​ing sheet now enter the information that you should’ve entered two weeks ago instead of yelling at us about how we told her we brought the folder but meant the sheet.
Glad I didn’t have to deal with her crap when filing my own personal taxes. I feel bad for my mom and grams though.

I was going to file my own taxes this year via TurboTax since I’ve heard so many good reviews on it. However, I failed miserably.
My taxes were more complicated this year so I didn’t want to proceed with TurboTax and risk getting audited for something stupid. Don’t get me wrong, TurboTax is legit and I would use it if I was filing a simple tax return.
Anyways, I checked good ol’ Unilocal for some assistance. I found a few 5-​star-​rated tax businesses around my area (DTLA, Echo Park, NELA) but for some reason, Lenore Solis & Associates stood out for me. I saw the reviews for her as well. All 5-​stars. She must be good, I said to myself. So I booked an appointment for today at 11:30am. I came in with a bag full of paperwork and in 35 minutes I was out. She educated me on the type of tax return I had and the expenses I was able to report. I was going to report some expenses that I wasn’t allowed to if I proceeded to do the taxes myself. She saved me from a future headache.
She was friendly, educated, funny and seemed very genuine. The cost for her to do my taxes was VERY reasonable. I left the office extremely satisfied.
P.S.
I used to work for H&R Block as a customer service rep. and knew that they ripped people off. Most of the tax reps there are FIRST TIMERS with NO EXPERIENCE. I used to get my taxes done there by a good friend for the past 7 years until he quit. Even with his discount, it was expensive. I will NEVER go back there again. I plan to have Lenore do my taxes from now on.

Lenore Solis is a professional human dynamo, and your day will be better for having her help. She’s assisted me in a number of situations (some unpaid taxes, unfiled years, and notary questions), and I’ve always come out more hopeful than when I went in.
