We carry all the normal and hard to find bulbs and a large selection for events, parties, and unique light up products. Seasonal lighting and features for the holidays and special events. Our philosophy is to provide excellent customer service at the best possible price.

We have an excellent reputation in the entertainment industry offering extensive one on one service taking as much time as necessary to fulfill every want or dream. Our local home owners know us for providing quick inexpensive lamp repairs, lighting advice, and even help with their kids school projects. We also like to give back to our communities by supporting our local schools and religious institutions.

Established in 1985.

Family owned private business from day one till the present. Specializes in hard to find light bulbs. Bulbs including incandescent, LED, fluorescent, CFL, Metal Halide, Krypton, and Halogen. Our knowledgeable staff will try to match any bulb you bring in. If its available we will do our best to get your bulb for you. Our friendly service, and years of experience can’t be beat!

Excellent variety of really unique bulbs, displays, fixtures, the whole nine! Very friendly and helpful service, in my experience. My buddies & I also got an awesome light show in the backroom to test out their various laser and LED party lights. Found myself a little gem of a lamp that I just had to buy to adorn my room — A color changing Pacman: Ghost Light! Hell yeah.

I had high hopes because we frequently need and use a lot of unique lighting in our house and work. Sadly, I had the same experience here as reviewer Asher. Two employees openly kinda jerks when I asked for minimal help, condescending to me and to the customer after me. Is there no owner or manager setting a better example? Who thinks it’s okay to act so unprofessionally toward customers? I was hoping to support a local spot and not just buy Amazon.

Had a great experience here today with Albert, I was in a jam and needed a last minute bulb order and he totally came through! I also wasn’t sure exactly what to order and he helped me figure it out (who knew lightbulbs had so many details?!) They were even able to ship them from their warehouse a few hours after I placed my order. Yay!

Service seemed rushed. They were –meh– somewhat helpful but their product was limited in terms of what i needed. I tried to ask careful questions as to not make it a wasted trip up there from where I was coming from, but def will not go there again. I did not like that the service ppl there seemed cocky in delivering their product and knowing their product when in fact they did not make it a good experience for me. I couldn’t browse comfortably when I felt they just wanted the sale and were pushy at best to get me out of the store. I ended up buy big bc I needed to feel like it was worth the trip yet totally regret going there. I’ll figure a way to use the product bc there is NO WAY i wanna waste my gas while feeling Im loosing money on the return in gas alone on the stuff I bought, but hate that I regret the experience.

We live just around the corner and our house is furnished with the most ridiculous lighting fixtures imaginable (previous owners’ handy work). Literally every light in the house requires a different kind of bulb and half of them are not common enough to find online for a reasonable price. So I am exceptionally grateful for this place! Whenever a light goes out, I just take the bulb out and walk over to the store to get a replacement. Quick and easy (and reasonably priced … certainly for the kind of specialty bulbs I usually get).

This place deserves zero stars. I don’t usually write reviews, but felt compelled to with this place. The elderly «gentleman» at the counter with the salt and pepper hair and glasses was extremely unprofessional and rude. I’m no expert when it comes to light bulbs so I had a few questions, mainly if they had the four prong fluorescent bulbs. The employee not only acted as if I was bothering him, but was also annoyed with my novice questions. When I found the bulb I needed he told me it was $ 25! This same bulb is $ 6 on Amazon. Steer clear of this place. It’s a miracle a place like this is still in business.

This could possibly be the most expensive place to purchase light bulbs in LA. Bought over 100 various bulbs for a job and made the mistake of not doing a little shopping. Their prices are at least two to three times higher than The local big box hardware stores and maybe four times higher than online. They also have a policy of no cash refunds, only store credit. After getting on the job site I discovered they had given me some bulbs of the wrong color. I returned them the next day had to put up a fight to get a refund on my CC. I learned my lesson. I will not purchase from them again

I am consistantly amazed at how uninformed the employees are at this location. I own a business and want to buy lights immediately. They are rude and act like they are inconvenienced when you walk in the door. When asked technical questions they make up answers and when questioned further they say buy it and find out then if it doesnt work you can return it to the manufactuerer. Not all locations are like this but this one has never failed to disappoint.

Buying bulbs here is not such a «Bright» idea, no pun intended. Even though their selection is extensive and the variety is good, their prices are horrible. I bought some led lights for $ 5.95 and found it for $ 1.50 online. The people that work here friendly but the one time I took one of the bulbs for return and they said because I don’t have the box they wouldn’t refund me or even give me store credit. Thanks but no thanks, I’m moving on to a «bigger and brighter future».

I bought a $ 1000 chandelier from Restoration Hardware and one of the bulbs was broken right out of the box. I tried to get replacements, but they sent me the wrong size and claimed that they don’t stock the ones I needed — the ones they just sent with my brand new light.
So, I found Light Bulbs Unlimited with the map app on my phone while out one day looking at furniture. I had to laugh a bit as the concept reminded me of «Spatula City» from UHF (the old Weird Al move from the ‘80s). I mean, a store that sells nothing but light bulbs. .. .. yep, it’s real and there are several locations in Southern California.
The employees were very nice and found what I needed immediately. No special orders required. No waiting until next Tuesday when the next shipment comes in. No, «they don’t make those anymore», etc. They had it and I bought six of them, took them home and they worked.
If you need that special light bulb go here. I would do business with this place again.

I just visited Light Bulbs Unlimited today. Jason was the salesman, and he was very helpful. He even introduced himself with a smile. The prices are half to two thirds less for LED bulbs than what I was paying for at Affordable Quality Lighting. The warrantees are better here also. I will always come here for all my light bulbs and fixtures from now on. I am very happy with the customer service.

I have used LBU several times for fridge bulbs. The guys know what you need when you show them. they even knew my model was discontinued and had another bulb. If you need any specialty lighting, fun or specialty lighting needs this would also be a good shop.

The staff here is consistently rude. They always seem more interested in yuck’in up about last nights party than helping with customers. Second time in three months that I left and went to Koontz to but what I needed. I won’t be back.

This light bulb store is great. I have been shopping here for the last 4 years, not only for personal use but for my business. They have access to most bulbs that you will ever need and if it is not in stock they will order it for you.
The customer service is very generous and spot on. They assist me in finding the correct wattage and when i end up buying the wrong item, they always except my exchange and or returns — since I am right down the street from their west hollywood location, they have even let me try out a display light bulb to see how i liked it before purchasing it.
Regardless of what the prices are; their location is convenient– their service is stellar, so paying an extra dollar or two for a light bulb is worth it.

I’ve been a long time customer but it seems that this store has gotten very «pricey» with their stock of bulbs — And the salespersons have been very kind to me all these years so I do not have any complaints about their service.
The real compliant is the pricey bulbs they sell — I needed two light bulbs so I recently spoke to the sale person to find out what the price was for T5 40 watt bulb which they only had it in cool white (4100K). The unbelievable price quoted to me was $ 29.95 — not for two but for EACH! WOW! Highway robbery!
So I’m going back to Light Bulbs & More in West Los Angeles. Of course it pays to shop since that store is charging $ 16.00 and online at Home Depot was still more expensive at $ 18.95.
But then again, Light Bulbs & More has expensive prices on other specialty bulbs so its really a hit & miss depending upon the store.
Lesson Learned — let your fingers do the walking and call first before you make the drive to the store and have an «heart» pounding when you hear the prices.

The staff manners are just another reason why I’d prefer to shop on amazon. I was told the lighting I wanted is «too expensive» and that’s just dumb! What he should have said was– we don’t carry that. Then another rep took me over but left me in attended to take more orders. These guys must work on commission because when yet another employee tried to ring me up the second guy wanted to argue I was his client. Poor showman ship and customer service at this store– please shape it up.

Now I know why this store has such a low rating. The Beverly location has horrible customer service. The guys that work there have a rude attitude. It’s a shame because they have a nice assortment of product but it’s not worth the unprofessional behavior.
Twice I have received defective light bulbs and they didn’t want to exchange them. Even though they were still in their brand new boxes with their price/​label on it. I ended up calling the regional manager to work things out. In the end, it wasn’t worth the trouble. Next time I will shop on-​line.

I knew what I wanted before I went in. It’s always crazy in the store. I saw what I wanted on display and waited in line until it was my turn. The guys behind the counter didn’t seem to be in control of anything. When I asked for my item, he said, ‘Sorry, it’s sold out. But we have the bigger ones’
‘Then maybe you should unplug the display and post that its sold out so I didn’t have to stand in line until you got your stuff together’
I found everything I wanted on line and it was a fraction of the cost.
I’ll never go in the store for anything again.
