Had a really fantastic experience with Lisa. I came in to remove my old nail color and fix the horrible job my last nail shop did.
Lisa took extra care and asked questions to make sure the length and shape of my nails were perfect! And the massage was incredible! I swear she got out knots in my hands!
This was my first time here and I was very pleased so I will certainly be coming back.

I enjoyed my experience here. I was on 3^rd street and had a hour to kill while I was at work so I stopped in. They ladies took me in right away and got everything prepared. The color selection is fairly large and they have very pretty colors. The also offer organic selections for all services. The location is very clean and cute. The young woman doing my pedicure did not talk at all, which I guess most people would like, but I felt a tad bit awkward. They have televisions playing with informative beauty news. The leg massage was amazing and I wanted to fall asleep. She had put a great amount of detail in cleaning up extra polish off my skin. And the price was very fair. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. I’m glad I stopped in!

I’ve been through all of the local nail salons and this is THE one. Every technician does a good job (this makes all the difference!) and they use a clean, individual nail pack for each client. Great organic option, too. Parking can be a bit of a hassle, but only on Saturday afternoons really. Well worth it.

Paradise! After a 6 month search for the perfect manicure Livinston is a dream. Love the 3^rd street location and am excited to visit weekly for an organic manicure that is fast in the perfect quiet, clean and well designed environment with the perfect team. Truly a must

I really wanted to like this place since I loved the décor, it was clean and the ladies that worked here were super nice, however my gel manicure chipped after 5 days and that is totally not acceptable. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.

Great organic Nail salon, no toxic smells or chemicals. Make sure you request the organic pedicure as they may not ask you (first time I thought it was all organic and I had gotten the conventional, my bad), but they did not up sell me which is nice. The ladies working are a bit shy, but pleasant. No loud talking in another language and beautiful soft background music. Always wonderful and organic! I believe this is the best organic nail salon in West Hollywood! They can usually have you in and out within an hour after getting a mani pedi. Best part, no toxic smells. Loving coming back! Salon is very clean and minimalist. There’s valet across the street at Panini (orange storefront) on Third (on the east side). Wonderful experience.

This place is great. Very clean with a serene atmosphere. They have an extensive array of Zoya brand nail polish, which is my personal favorite. Both ladies for my mani pedi were very gentle, my cuticles tend to be dry and many rip em right off. Great massage and polish job.

I came to this place when it was named something else and I feel there’s still a similar issue. Each time I have been scheduled with a tech with the LEAST experience. I felt like I was getting my nails painted by a 9-​year old. Really annoying. Also, as she was putting the disposable sandals on, she knocked both of my big toe’s polish and had to redo them. Also, super annoying as well, when you use a credit card they do not allow you to add a tip anywhere on receipt. This is 2015, not everyone carries cash. Very inconvenient to me as a customer. Needless to say, I’ll be going elsewhere for my next pedicure.

The ladies working here we’re almost totally silent the entire time during my mani pedi, not too mention the music was «broken» that day, which made for a very boring first visit, in my opinion.
The location is very cute and bonus points for having some environmentally friendly polishes, but overall my experience was lackluster, to be sure.
Also, parking is horrendous, but if you hike far enough into the neighborhood you can get past the permit areas and find free parking.

I just moved to L.A. from Boston and have been desperately on the hunt for a new nail salon. I did my requisite Unilocal-​search and was actually headed down to a salon further down 3^rd when I passed Livingston Nail Bar. I couldn’t resist the calm, clean décor, so I walked in. It was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday afternoon, and they took me right on the spot. I had a regular pedicure and gel manicure (for a total of $ 55). I generally prefer massage chairs (which they don’t have) when I’m getting my tootsies buffed and polished, but this was nonetheless a purely comfortable and decadent experience. I had two sweet gals working on me at the same time, both of whom were extremely meticulous and did a beautiful job on my admittedly in-​need-​of-​TLC nails. The salon is calm, serene, and very cute – the kind of place where you want to sit down and relax for a while. Oh! And the massages were excellent too. Always bonus points for that.
At the end of my manicure, one of the gals asked how often I get gel polish and recommended I lay off of it in favor of regular polish for my next manicure to strengthen my nails. I thought this was extremely impressive, especially since she was essentially recommending I go with a cheaper option.
I will definitely be back here. You should give it a whirl too. You’ll feel totally pampered.

This salon is not for me. The technicians were too slow and when I asked one of them if a color I wanted was sheer, she replied what do you mean. These ladies were too gentle for my taste. Yes I want gentle but it’s always nice when the technicians have personality. If they were standing outside and a huge windstorm came up, I would be afraid that they would blow away by the way they were acting.

I’ve been here twice so far. Mani/​pedi on the first visit, then just a manicure. Both experiences were fantastic. I don’t know what they do differently than other salons, but this is maybe the best I’ve ever gotten. My manicure did not chip for an ENTIRE WEEK. That’s unheard of for me. I used the Zoya polish, which is available in a ton of beautiful colors. Also, the interior feels more upscale than most, and there are muted tv’s to watch for entertainment.

I saw this place while driving around the area. I called a day before and got an appointment the next day. So glad, I hate waiting for my nail appointment.
They do NOT have their own parking. You have to find meter parking. I barely made it to my car as the meter lady was about to write me up. Thank goodness I made it just in time, it was about to be my most expensive mani-​pedi ever!
The place was so clean and it sparkled! I love how clean the place smelled! This is not your ordinary shop that reeks of acetone.
Joy did my mani pedi. She was so awesome! We got to chit chat and get to know each other. I left happy and as if I just finished having a conversation with a friend. I just noticed today that my nail already has a chip on the bottom of the nail and two of my nails have polish not touching the edge. BUT maybe I’m just picky. On the flip side my pedicure looks great!

Today my friend and I went to get a regular mani and pedi. We had a groupon for it. When we got there we were welcome and told to select the color we wanted. The chairs we sat in were comfortable, the atmosphere of the location was great, the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this place for someone that was to get their nails done. Also they do have an organic mani and pedi I believe it is like 10 dollars more.

I’ve been to my fair share of places to get my nails done, but this is probably by far one of my favorites. The staff is really friendly and caters to your wants when it comes to designs and making sure you’re content with their work. I bought a groupon just to check it out and I’ll definitely be coming back for all my mani/​pedi needs.
Loved the minimalist décor and the Marilyn Monroe portrait decorating the back wall — very modern, posh feel to it without the high pricing for their nail work.

Six month review:
I’ve been using Livingston exclusively now for 6 months. This is not your average nail shop. This is a comfortable, relaxing experience. Tools are clean and fresh out of the sterilizer. Chandeliers hang in the waxing room. They’ve got quality nail products (including organics) and your nails will be on point. And do your feet a favor and get the callous treatment. It was the best I’ve had anywhere.
Update after a second visit:
I had another excellent gel manicure here today and this time, an excellent pedicure to match. Great service from Dina who did both services.
The shop itself has a clean, elegant look. Instead of spa chairs, the pedicures are done in large white porcelain bowls on an elevated seating area. You take two steps up to the bowls and are seated in comfortable, white arm chairs.
Huge windows let in lots of light and if you are seated near them, you can take in 3^rd streets ample people watching. If not, there is music and silenced TV screens looping some entertainment channel. Some of it is subtitled so you can follow it to some degree.
I was thoroughly pleased with my Gel manicure. Dina did a beautiful job and was very patient as we looked to find the sparkly fuchsia that I was after and a close match for my pedicure. I’m very picky about shape and she hit it spot on.
The light that sets the gel was a small machine specifically for gel manicures. This is an upgrade to those large off white machines that are meant to set a regular manicure. 3 or 4 rounds in one of those and the backs of your hands sting. Not so here. This little machine was far more gentle.
I was not as happy with the pedicure on my first visit but that was corrected on the second so I was happy to update this review and give this shop the 5 stars it deserves.
As for the parking, I had no problem finding a spot on the street.

This salon has replaced Polish Bar, which focused on non-​toxic manicures and pedicures. Unlike some other Unilocal reviewers, I never had a bad experience at PB (though I only went 3 or so times), and was sad to see them go. But, I was happy to discover the recently-​opened Livingston Nail Bar, after driving by it a few days before. Even better, they also bill themselves as «a non-​toxic nail salon» on their window, so I was very pleased to see that Polish Bar’s replacement seemed very comparable.
The reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is mainly because this place should really say it’s «a non-​toxic nail salon (if you request it).» Otherwise, the typical products that all the other salons tend to use will be used here. Orly, OPI, acetone, etc. They do offer an «organic» manicure and/​or pedicure– which is a bit dubious, since I don’t think nail products can be organic… What I think they mean, though, is that you can get a mani/​pedi with 3-​free or 5-​free products, and acetone-​free polish remover. So, having this option– for a higher price than the non-​organic one, of course– is nice.
Anyway, the inside looks nearly identical to how it did, when it was still Polish Bar– which is a good thing. A much nicer experience than your typical nail salon, certainly. The staff was friendly, and able to accommodate my same-​day appointment request. They have a nice selection of Zoya polishes, as well, which is consistent with the whole non-​toxic thing.
Another reason I can’t quite rate this place a perfect 5 stars is lack of a parking lot. I think I saw a sign in their window about having valet across the street; but, I won’t be investigating that at all, because valeting my car to get my nails done is a level of ridiculous I’m not ready for.
I’d purchased a Unilocal deal, for my visit, so I got the standard/​non-​organic mani-​pedi. I will definitely be going back, because the staff was very nice, and I like that they have the option for safer polishes and whatnot. I’m definitely willing to pay more for that, on my next visit.
Verdict? Give Livingston a try!

I had such a great experience at Livingston Nail Bar, everyone was so professional but made me feel so comfortable at the same time. Gigi who did my manicure & Julie who did my pedicure were beyond knowledgable & did such an amazing job. They took such great care of me & were both extremely gentle & gave me so many beauty tips, I loved them! Luke the owner was amazing & also made me feel at home, I’m looking forward to coming back very soon & I’m bringing my bf with me too.

I am so glad that Luke opened this wonderful nail salon on my corner. This location was formerly Polish Bar where I had a mediocre experience. However, what I experienced this afternoon was clearly 5 star service.
Liz did my pedicure and Gigi did my manicure. Both of them took their time and paid attention to detail. They understood that I had a bad experience at Polish Bar and wanted to make sure I left 100% satisfied.
I chose to have the manicure/​pedicure combo for $ 37. The callous treatment was another $ 10, buffing an additional $ 5. It does start to add up; however, the quality of the work was obvious and I am now home admiring how darn good my hands and feet look.
The staff here are extremely nice and friendly, good vibe for any new business. I understand this is day 2 for them. I hope they are extremely successful as I badly need them to succeed.
