My husband and I had our maternity shoot at their studio last week by Jessie. We are very familiar with photo shoots and have had the opportunity to work with amazing photographers from Southern California (LA) and even Paris, France. We still talk about our Fantastic experience & already know we’re going to have amazing photos based on the shoot. We are appreciative and impressed with Lori Dorman Photography. We will highlight what we felt stood out to our liking:
* Jessie has a versatile sense of fashion & was quick and efficient with creating our each of our outfits based on their wardrobe selection and our own.
* Great Direction — she was detailed oriented through out entire shoot with props, background, with her assistant, pose, facial expression, hair, down to how fabric would lay on the skin or flow in the wind (natural wind & fan)
* We like direction that’s straight to the point — she’s authoritative, directive, confident, all while being supportive.
* We had the opportunity to meet Lori Dorman, herself, and she was extremely humble, personable, and we enjoyed getting to know how her passion became the business that it is now.
* Studio was filled with amazing, empowered, smart women yet felt like you were at your Aunt’s house for Thanksgiving (very comforting & inviting)
* Enjoyed the total process from booking the shoot, the detail information leading up to the shoot, personal contact prior to the shoot to understand specific theme/​look, etc of photo shoot, their hair/​MUA referrals were awesome!
* Have different photographers that specialize in different areas, ex. newborn, family, maternity, etc.
* The conclusion of the shoot was a great final touch — it actually lead me to book a Belly to Baby shoot and wanting a coffee table book– having a professional design your book just as an interior designer would your home just makes sense.

Took the most amazing maternity pics. So happy that I was able to capture this moment. They are pricey but worth every penny. They even have a full closet in which you can play dress up with for the photo shoot. Would definitely use them as a photographer again :)

I was blown away by the talent here. Kitti was my photographer she was so creative bringing her creative ideas to the shoot with so many props, and the best posing tips. She really knew how to bring out the best images. I had envision certain looks and things when I came into this and she really brought them all to life and took the time to go over my needs. Alisha was also a big help and few other girls I can’t recall their name. I think one was Jesse. Lori was beautiful and sweet. I love the option of the ten day rush on photos! And the option to get a book. I will definitely be recommending this company!!!

A true 5 star experience. I absolutely recommend Lori Dorman for maternity shoots without any hesitation. If you are worried about the price… get over it because it is money well spent. I had my maternity shoot with Kitti today. From the moment I walked up to the house, I felt as though I was at home. Lori greeted me and led me to the costume/​dressing room. She is so lovely. She was shooting a newborn when I walked in and it was one of the sweetest sights I had ever encountered.
The wardrobe selection is incredible! Kitti and her assistant were so helpful throughout the entire process. They made me feel comfortable despite taking several nude shots. I have gained a considerable amount of weight over this pregnancy but they are so artistic that they slim you down with lighting and shadows. They are very creative and passionate about what they do. They have so many different curtains, rugs, sofas, props, etc… I saw a few of the photos on the camera and I cannot wait to receive my CD with the edited pictures. I truly enjoyed my photo shoot and it is a memory I will cherish. I recommend every expecting mother to book now! I will definitely be a returning customer.

Just finished my maternity shoot with Lori and I must say it was more than I could have imagined. First the costume area is beautiful ! I wanted a fairy take and this was def the place to find it. Jasmine, Loris assistant was beyond nice and helpful and made me feel so comfortable even when I was half naked lol.
The set ups are amazing and Lori is so creative the way she can just create something beautiful out of curtains, rugs and light.
This is the perfect way to remember my pregnancy and I am glad I did my research and went with Lori. I plan to shoot with her again once my little princess comes!

This is one of the best $$ We spend on our newborn daughter Mia :) (besides cord blood banking) we had wonderful time working w Christ n Casey.
We r super lucky to have Christ for the newborn session. She is very professional and talented. Since the shoot it’s at 8am, they even have breakfast ready for us in the studio :) love it!
Christ r super friendly. She listen to us n give wonderful suggestion. She has her way working w baby. Very gentle and she knows what she is doing. Me n my hubby feel really comfortable to leaves our baby to her so we can relax a bit n catch some sleep.
We really really enjoy our time there. We for sure will comeback again for our 2^nd child. I can’t wait to see the pictures. I am sure it’s gonna be amazing.

All I can say is WOW! I was BEYOND HAPPY with everything about my photoshoot, starting w the amazing photographer Jessie and her assistant, to the set up they made for each outfit, to the to die for wardrobe. I can’t wait for our newborn session and know it’s gonna be an amazing experience as well.

Costumes and playing! What more could a girl ask for? I wanted to do maternity photos but wanted flexibility — some sexy,
some conservative, etc. but most importantly I wanted them to look especially artistic. I shot with Kitti and I was soooo happy. What a sweet and professional photographer. She made hubby and I feel comfortable and she gave clear guidance as we moved through each setup. I am so glad I did it. No regrets at all!

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! I just received the rest of my pictures from my maternity shoot with Lori and I am floored on how gorgeous they came out! They brought me to tears of how happy I felt when I saw them and the amazing moments that she captured with my family and I. This is the third time my wife and I have had pictures taken by LD Photography, specifically Chris — maternity, first child and now for our second child. Chris and the entire LD team is professional, friendly, and a pleasure to work with.
Chris and Melina showed up with all the props and outfits for our son’s newborn session. All we had to do was be ready for pictures. Also, they were able to work with certain shots we wanted and outfits we wanted our son in. Being a fireman, I wanted a picture of our son with my turnouts. After informing Chris she quickly gave me numerous ideas for shots that were different from traditional pictures I have seen others use (ie baby in the helmet). Both Chris and Melina were professional but provided for a casual and comfortable session where we felt like we were with old friends. They were also great in trying to get our 2 year old toddler to behave for the family shots, which is not usually easy.
My wife and I cannot wait to get our pictures but have absolute fate that they look as amazing as our previous pictures taken by LD Photography.
If thinking of maternity and/​or newborn pictures don’t hesitate to go with LD. You will not regret it.

Just finished my newborn shoot with Chris and it was amazing. The crew came on time at 9 am and stayed till 2! We did so many different shoots with the cutest backdrops and props. I cannot wait to see the pics. Chris is like the baby whisperer. If my baby got fussy she put her at ease in seconds. Before coming Chris called and told me exactly how to prepare. She was awesome. Highly recommend this. You will not regret it

The words that best describe Lori’s staff and studio… Classy, elegant, and sophisticated! The details in which Lori spends finding individual pieces of pure art mixed with the ability for her photographers to incorporate throughout our shoot were amazing!
Rustic, vintage, and edgy was what my wife and I wanted for our maternity photos and we couldn’t have been happier with Kitti’s ability to give us direction throughout the shoot. My wife being a former 49er cheerleader, she has worked with plenty of photographers in her career and she mentioned how easy it was to work with Kitti.
It was a huge plus for us to not have to buy any clothes for this shoot! Lori’s extensive wardrobe was a dream as my wife felt like a life sized Barbie getting all dolled up for each shot. I believe there was every color under the sun and it’s filled with priceless vintage pieces.
Keeping all 3 of those things in mind I mentioned earlier, you don’t want to look at cheap cheesy photos every single day for the rest of your life! Invest a little bit more into shooting with Lori because you want someone to be able to capture the highlight of your pregnancy and enhance your beauty bump with elegance and style!

What an Amazing amazing amazing experience I had during my maternity/​family photo shoot. My session was with Jessie and let me tell you she is great at what she does. Jessie and her assistant were so kind, friendly and very very professionals. They treated my husband, my 9 year old daughter, my toddler son and I with so much respect and they made us feel very comfortable. We felt we were having our photo shoot at home.
Now let me tell you about their wardrobe, omg amazing outfits. My daughter and I felt we were at a candy store once we stepped in to the walking closet full of beautiful garments. They have EVERYTHING!!! Also the studio set up is just Beautiful and unique.
My family and I love love love the experience we had during our photo shoot. I will definitely recommend them to any family member, friends or even strangers.

My husband and I flew down with my step-​daughter to southern california from San Francisco for a little vacation and to take our maternity photos with Lori. I’ve seen Lori’s work and absolutely loved them. Since it’s our first baby together, it was so important to me to capture such a precious time. My photographer was Jessie and she and her assistant were truly amazing! She was very professional and so detail oriented. Love love the outfits they let you borrow and the backdrop/​setting of the shoot. Also, Alice (one of their recommended stylists) did my hair and makeup and she was wonderful as well! My shoot was at 9am and she was so accommodating to take me in at 7:15 to get me all dolled up for my shoot!

Alisha was very helpful in responding to all my emails in a timely manner.
My little babe was booked with Chris and her two assistants, Melinna and Casey (whom is being trained by Chris). These gals are beyond amazing. I was so worried about my munchkin being good for them. But sadly, Chris got pooped on… They made me and my husband feel comfortable and said it’s normal for babies to poop and pee during a shoot. I can tell by watching all of them work, they really enjoy what they do. They are patient and very talented. It is not as simple as it may look.
Even my husband who is not into these kind of things, was completely sold and would book them again for our future children!
I previewed some of the shots with Chris and we have no doubt we will he very happy with them! We highly recommend going with Chris and Lori Dorman’s Studio!

After searching for a boudoir style maternity photographer, we found Lori Dorman. By far, the best maternity photographer! Trust me. We LOOKED and SEARCHED for weeks. We got a really reasonable package and for the quality of the work I see and experienced, it was worth every penny. Just check out their website. We were sold the minute we started looking through the pictures online.
From start to finish, everything went seamless. They’re fast, efficient, friendly and professional. Alisha was my go-​to for questions on email and she’s AWESOME!!! Thank you for tending to my 1001 questions, being patient and processing every one of my requests with a smile!
Our photographer was the beautiful Kitti. She’s really good at what she does and it shows in all the pictures she took. We had our 2yr old with us during the photo shoot, she was really good getting him to pose and the pictures she captured of him was timeless.
Lori Dorman’s selections of maternity outfits are UNREAL!!! There are so many beautiful ones to choose from!!! They really spoils us mommies to be! They also have authentic props and unique one of a kind setups.
We got our pictures for online viewing promptly after 4 weeks as promised. Apart from 80++ edited pictures, they offer 5 re-​edits /​retouched on any pictures of your choice. I had the privilege to work with one of their editor, Ricki. She did such a great job and she did it quick! As soon as I confirmed that all is good, they sent a CD of all our pictures in a big box (lol). I have to give it to them for efficiency and presentation!

I have had the Belly, Baby and Beyond experience with Lori Dorman Photography and everytime I look at one of the photos I am reminded of how happy I am that I chose to have Lori photograph the most important moments of my son’s life because the results were priceless.
Our Belly Maternity session was over 2 years ago now and I couldn’t have chosen a more understanding and profession photographer! The photo shoots are long and grueling but Lori’s positive energy and creativity makes them worth every penny. Let’s start with the fact that she has the cutest props, ideas, and assortment of beautiful gowns, dresses, etc which is nice since I couldnt fit any of my own clothes at that point! She makes you look beautiful even if you dont feel that way at 7 – 8 months pregnant! Lori bends over backwards to make things work and knows what will look good on film. Being so far along it was nice that she let us rest for lunch and even fed us from her own kitchen a delicious and healthy lunch. I really do love that she does multiple outfit changes and many different settings all in one sitting. You can’t get this kind of service or quality with other photographers.
For the Newborn shots at my home she also did such an amazing job. She was very understanding of the difficultuies of motherhood and was very supportive and conscientious of a new nursing mother. She handled and cared for my son with expert hands. Lori takes on all the work and stress and made it relaxing and stress free for both baby and mother which was such a blessing. My son will never be this age or size again and I am thankful that she captured him so beautifully.
Since then we have had 2 more family portrait photoshoots with her because she always does an excellent job. I have never been disappointed. I have to admit that there were times when I was skeptical with what she chose for me to wear, but everytime I see the photos I know that she was right because the photos came out amazing! She knows how to make memorable photos that capture personality and character. I also appreciate that there is always an assistant, especially when dealing with a baby or toddler and with dressing changes, the extra pair of hands are super helpful! I now just show up with an assortment of clothes, she provides adorable props (rustic wheelbarrel, mini tractor, charlie brown christmas tree, teepee, sail boat, wagon etc!) and I let her go to it pairing the outfits, posing us, and directing us! Again I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate her eye for different backdrops both fun colorful and rustic romantic in the same session. Our last photo shoot was at the beach and my son had the best time ever chasing seagulls and splashing in the water!
Lori, her staff, and assistants have always been very professional everytime I email and call. All of the details of the pricing, cancelations, date changes, are all outlined very clearly and they have always been very accomodating. They are very understanding with the realities of life, of babies being born both early and late, and of toddler meltdowns!
I highly recommend Lori Dorman Photography to anyone looking for exceptional memories of their pregnancy, their newborn or their growing toddler. It’s nice to look back and see these memories since at the time I was so sleep deprived and the time flies by too quickly! Thank you Lori for all of your amazing energy and work!
