Not the very best food out there, prices are pretty valuable but the food just doesn’t satisfy your hunger

No es el mejor sabor… pero es agradable el lugar y está muy cercas de mi trabajo. Me encantan las tortas de huevo con jamón.

This place has a gigantic menu which includes tacos, pancakes, club sandwiches, pastrami, Mexican pastries, burgers, and pupusa. Don’t be shocked if the fish taco you ordered is not as good as the one you remember from your spring break in Ensanada. I come here for their Menudo, which is actually one of the best I’ve ever had. Minimal funk, no hominy, perfect texture, perfect seasoning. The only better tripe in L.A. in my opinion is at Osteria Mozza. Oh, and it’s also a panaderia, so they have a display with 30 – 40 different pastries if you’re into that kind of thing. Me, I’ll stick to my tripe.

While my chicken soup from Lucy’s cools down, I figured I’d get the review out of my way. I crave this soup every day and specially days like today(SOCOLD!) it is just perfect. It is a little salty which I actually really like and they pack it with veggies! The best part, there is enough chicken in this bowl to feed an army. Chicken soup for breakfast in the comfort of my desk at work… wouldn’t have it any other way! No wonder this place is always packed with police, you can taste the quality!

Bee infested patio. Over salted. Canned refried beans. and charge for refills no thank you, not again. You could try your hands on McDonald’s accross the street because I wouldn’t recommend this place

A restaurant that is a mix of Mexican and Salvadorian food and a panaderia that is quick and affordable, it’s not bad. I’ve had tacos, burritos, tortas, and tried various pastries from the panaderia and I’ve had their tres leches. I like that it’s nearby and quick and easy if I want it. They do take credit card, but do try to spend like $ 10(not sure if there’s a min, but sometimes I got charged extra). A lot of times you can look at the pictures and order.

I got the Carne Asada Taco here. It was pretty good for its price! Food seemed authentic, but I wasn’t too impressed. I’d go back to get a bite to eat.

I love this place. I go to the drive thru on the corner… I haven’t been to the actual restaurant across the street. My wife likes it a lot. My 96 year old mother-in-law loves the chile releno(as do I) and even my 22 year old son will eat their tacos with the rice and beans. My favorites(aside from the chile releno) are the burritos… the # 94, which is a carnitas burrito with beans, onions and cilantro and also the #22, which is the red chilli burrito, again with beans, onions and cilantro. I also like their pastrami sandwich #35. The hot dog is good also. The last time I was there, which was two weeks ago, there was someone eating a whole fried fish. I am going tonight as my wife sent me an email asking me to pick up dinner. Plus the people there are great… you can’t miss… great food, and great prices. Jerry M.

Alright, So I happen to find my way here… Hungry in search of a random good meal. I don’t know if this place is associated with the Lucy’s on Pico /LaBrea? I hope not. I usually go to that Lucy’s(pico /la brea). I ordered my usual Chili Cheese Fries. Yes, I order chili cheese fries from a Mexican food spot! I normally order them at my usual Lucy’s and they are awesome. So I figured this time they would be just as awesome. Well I don’t know what kind of chili they used but it was gross! I couldn’t bring myself to continue eating it. I ordered a carne asada taco just to see what it was like and it was aiight. I wouldn’t go back to this spot again.

The only thing that I’ve ever had from here is their hard and soft shell tacos, and they are amazing. Everything seems pretty cheap, the tacos are for sure. The area isn’t the greatest if you’re walking around alone, but it’s fine in the day if you’re with some people. I’d say that it’s definitely a step(or ten) up from Chano’s in food quality if you’re a USC student.

Ahhh Lucy’s! Always a great place to get a lot of good food for such a cheap price! There is array of dishes to choose from. They serve Mexican and American food. Not only is it a restaurant but it is also a bakery! The bakery that consist of many traditional Mexican pasties and even specialty cakes! I must say the tres leche cakes are super yummy!

AWESOME hard and soft shell tacos. Taste super home made & oh so fine. Everything else is shitty… literally/seriously…except maybe the chicken burrito which my roommate said was good. I’ve had the quesadilla which sucked and was dripping with grease and i just had the nacho’s and they were TERRIBLE. it was like some chips on a plate with some shitty old meat and some red sauce with regular salsa on the side. Chano’s nachos wins again.
