Their food is disgusting… i ordered sweet sticky rice… at first the staff told me it’s $ 2.50 then when i pay it’s $ 3. It’s fine with me… the problem is that they don’t give me coconut milk sauce… when i asked for sugar they are even hesistant of giving me sugar. When i ate their sweet sticky rice… there is an after taste… I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE!!!

The owner Fern was super helpful. I’m gluten free and most spy sauce is made with wheat. She was nice enough to check the labels and theirs was made with corn! So I was able to eat yaaaay! I so appreciate her help because most Thai places is a lil hard to communicate clearly.
The food was delicious but my God their warning sign (if you haven’t seen it is in the pics above) about the spice is absolutely true. I have ordered medium spice and my mouth/​lips felt like I was in the pits of hell. Please be careful as they say save food by asking for mild and adding the extra pepper sauce later if it’s not hot enough because i had to add water to it. But still very good!

Luv2Eat shares a plaza with Sushi Q and RoRo’s Chicken, so it’s always difficult to choose where to eat for lunch with such a wealth of options. You really can’t go wrong with Luv2Eat though. Had the curry, fried rice, beef salad, various appetizers, and the pad see ew so far, and not a complaint about any of it. The pad see ew is probably the best I’ve had in a long time. Somewhat cramped dining area though since it’s really popular with the lunch crowd.

If you are tired of the «typical Thai food», you want something different and authentic Thai. Go to this place! Some good food here. I would go back to this place and Sapp for real Thai food.

I had a very enjoyable dinner at Luv2eat last night! I absolutely love Thai food, and I’ve been to Thailand many many times. This place serves up really authentic food! I also met Chef Pla, she has the sweetest smile and is always asking if my friend and I needed anything and how is the food tasting. She cares about her food, and you can definitely taste it and see it! Every single person working there was very patient answering our questions and attentive to our needs. GREAT service! The place is small, but I really enjoy how intimate everything was. The FOOD!!! BOMB DIGGITY!

No long ass wait. Accepts cc’s with minimum purchase of $ 15(I think). Great and accommodating service. Private lot!
3 bbq jade noodle dry:
Really unexpectedly sweet. Comes with a delicious light broth on the side. It was a bit too sweet for my palate but my bf enjoyed it! Next time I want to try it with broth!
Raw shrimp papaya salad:
I’m a big fan of papaya salad so this definitely hit the spot. Though I’m not sure I will get the raw shrimp next time.
Duck noodle soup with jade noodle:
Yum! Very similar to other Thai duck noodle soups. Can’t go wrong here, it’s delicious! Especially with jade noodles :).

As authentic as you can get. This restaurant made me feel like I was in Thailand again. This place doesn’t look like much, but it is a hidden treasure of Thai cuisine. It took awhile to find parking. We came in and it was busy. Dinner time. The service was kind of hectic, but they were packed so I gave them a pass. We were seated as quick as possible and our orders came out pretty quickly. We got the 3 BBQ with noodles and papaya salad. I must say, they were amazing. Very flavorful and rich. Also, very spicy! This is real heat. It’s not watered down. This is authentic heat. I’m very satisfied with my experience.

Food quality was superb. I ordered a pad thai tofu plate, which was made perfectly. The rest of my group ordered spicy food, which lived up to the standard for thai spicy.
We were greeted by a kind server within seconds of walking in. The server was helpful with the menu, and the food came out quickly. The price was reasonable, which left room for a good tip. The place itself is in a little hidden shop, but inside is very modern.

Good news: the food is absolutely delicious.
Bad news: The duck soup I had last friday gave me a bacterial infection.

I don’t know anything about «authentic» Thai cuisine but the food here smells and tastes amazing. Our table shared some dishes…
–Jade noodles (dry and soup)
–crab fried rice
–fried chicken
–spicy shrimp paste fried rice
–tom OMG papaya salad
The Tom OMG salad is not for the faint of heart. It’s extremely fishy smelling and tasting plus all the seafood are RAW. I wished the server warned me but oh well, I felt like a G ordering and trying to eat that in the restaurant.
The other dishes were outstanding. If this is authentic Thai food, then let’s go to Thailand!

I’ve been a regular of Luv2Eat since day one and I can’t believe I never gave them a review. I love the newly remodeled space. It’s modern and now there are plenty of places to sit and you rarely need to wait.
As fas as food, my favorite dishes are the authentic fish curry, fried chicken, Hainan chicken, papaya salad, and jade noodle with 3 meats. I never noticed until the last few times that if you order dishes from the back page of the menu, such as the Panang Curry, it’s more Americanized and the spice level is much more mild. However if you order items from the left side of the first page, such as Phuket Crab Curry, it’s going to be Thai level hot. So unless you’re used to that kind of spicy level (which is insane spicy), you should request for mild to medium at best.
I agree with many Unilocalers suggested, the flavor of the fried chicken is out of this world. Don’t forget to dip it with the sauce that comes with it. I never comment on the rice of any dish, but in their Hainan chicken, it’s the star. I can eat a whole dish of that rice by itself it’s that flavorful.
Overall, if you love Thai food, you can skip Thai town and be a regular at Luv2eat.

Surprisingly good. Really liked the raw shrimp salad. Everything here tend to be more spicy than usual but certainly tasty!

Do not ever order delivery from this place.
I went a month or so ago in person and the food was great and service was slow but acceptable. I ordered today for delivery less than a mile away. After passing over the 45 minute mark, I called to see where my order was. After fumbling around, they said it should almost be there.
Fifteen minutes later my order arrives. I want to pay by card, so their method of doing that is writing all of your card information down on a piece of paper. No thank you. I then open the order and both are my dishes are not right. I ordered eggplant with basil with minimum oil, and it comes doused in oil. I ordered mixed veggies in the house sauce with rice on the side and I get veggie fried rice.
So I call back about my order and I ask to get a credit. They say they will only credit me 50% even though both orders are wrong. I don’t want new food since this has already taken forever. Then they say they will drive back and give me a refund if they take back both the food items which I find ridiculous.
To finally just end this conversation, I accept the credit for my next order. Don’t really know if I will be going back to use it after the service.

Little did I know until I started working in this area that Hollywood is truly a mecca for Thai food.
The chefs here are from Hoyka, so I knew we were in good hands. Super authentic and unique Thai food, beyond your pad thai, pad see ew, or silverlake hipster eatery.
— Phuket-​style Crab Curry — It’s great but SO SPICY! I was given plenty warning before chowing down on this dish. No, they will not adjust the heat for you, take it as it is!
*My tip is to ladle the sauce on the plate of noodles (not the other way around) to adjust spice. I had to take the left overs and dilute it with coconut milk and veggies at home.

— Raw Shrimp Salad — Probably my favorite here. Raw shrimp with thai chile sauce on top of carrots and cabbage. Reminded me of ceviche. Refreshing and super flavorful
— Shrimp Paste Fried Rice — Stinky, salty, and savory. There is an entire fried fish and Nam Prik paste to accompany the spicy rice. Everything was so good, and pretty spicy as well.
— Fried Chicken — Probably my least favorite but pretty good. Mountainous amounts of fried shallots to pair with my fried bird.
There are Thai snacks sold in front, Natalie K. bought me some fish snacks to take home and they were savory and delish.
These folks don’t mess around when it comes to Thai chiles. Be prepared!

Sad that I have to give 1.5 stars (rounded up) for my 250^th review…
I really wanted to like this place since all my friends that have been have raved about how excellent their food is but unfortunately, I will have to disagree.
My bf and I ordered the fried tofu, jade noodles, and the fried chicken. The tofu was hot when it came out and the sauce comes out separately so you put as much or as little as you want but the sauce was a bit bland for me.
The best part of the jade noodles was the crispy chicken skin and pork that was in there. The noodles were all stuck together it was a bit difficult to mix everything together.
The chicken came with 2 drumsticks and 1 breast and rice that came in a little bag. We ate the drumsticks and it was good… hot and crispy and with the sauce… it gave it a bit of a kick which I liked. But sadly, that is where the goodness ended. We cut open into the breast and it was RAW! We told our waitress and she took it back and just refried the pieces of chicken that were cut. It was fried so much that it was burnt and dry! And the rice… after we took it out of the bag, it just turned hard. I think the rice was previously frozen and it was microwaved right before it came out.
And warning… the bathroom is disgusting!
There are other dishes that I wanted to try out but I am debating whether or not to give this place another shot.

I can see why people, especially bloggers, rave about this place. One of the owners Chef Pla is warm and friendly while you are dining at the restaurant.
I came in to try the papaya salad which is supposedly the best in LA, but ended up with their fried chicken as recommended by Chef Pla. The fried chicken wasn’t overly breaded as the typical American style fried chicken. I liked the sticky rice that came with it. I love eating sticky rice with Asian dishes and have been making sticky rice at home to accompany some of my own home cooked meals.
I ended the meal with Chef Pla’s Thai tea pudding which was a bit too sweet for me and wasn’t as smooth as I expected it to be.
I’ll definitely be back some of their other dishes.

Luv2Eat has become me and my boyfriends go-​to spot. We consistently will order Pad Ka Prao with Crispy pork, no bell peppers — cause my boyfriend isn’t a fan, and not spicy (boyfriend can’t handle spice, they always give me a small container on the side so i can make mine as spicy as i want).
The crispy pork stays perfectly crispy and the sauce is phenomenal.
Service here is always phenomenal and the girls that work here have remember us (with the # of times we come in and cause we always order the same thing).
Be adventurous though… everything I’ve been recommended by the girls has always been great

5 stars for truly yummy Thai food! I’ve been here twice now, once with a big group of 12 and once with two others. My first time here was delicious, but hectic — we ordered so much food that half the time I didn’t even know what I was eating! But I knew I really liked it!
FOOD:
— shrimp paste fried rice and crab fried rice — both were very flavorful and good portions. The crab fried rice has real crab meat in it
— jade noodles — really liked this dish! You get really pretty green noodles and a variety of meats and veggies. Mix all together with some sauces and it’s heaven in your mouth
— kua kling — one of the chef’s specials, you can choose what type of meat. We got the pork spare ribs and this was delicious! Super flavorful and the spiciness totally creeps up on you as you keep eating it
I’ve also tried the fried chicken, durian sticky rice, larb, and a bunch of other things I can’t remember. All were yummy!
SERVICE:
My bf is Thai so he did all of the ordering. The chefs, an adorable lesbian couple, Fern and Pla are super friendly! Everyone is very nice and food comes out in a timely manner. Check in on Unilocal for a free Thai iced tea!
VENUE/​PARKING:
The place itself is on the smaller side, but they have outdoor seating available and they’re taking over the space next door and expanding, yay! Located in an unassuming strip mall, plenty of parking in the lot attached. The bathroom is all the way in the back through the kitchen, which is kind of weird, but no one pays attention to you as you walk through.
Will definitely be coming back!

FIVE STARS FOR AMAZING THAI FOOD!!!
As someone who eats Thai food often I was very exited to try this place when I heard from a friend how authentic the dishes were. We ordered the shrimp paste fried rice, the raw shrimp salad, and the fried chicken. All three dishes were done extremely well. I’ve never had the shrimp paste fried rice before, it was so delicious!
We enjoyed our food so much, we ordered the jade noodle and durian sticky rice to go. The durian with sticky rice uses cooked during, I was expecting fresh durian, but it was delicately either way.
I think the great food is wasted on this location, I think they will be much more appreciated in SGV or dtla area!
They’re located on sunset blvd, in a sketchy looking plaza with a 7-​eleven. Plenty of parking in the private lot!

I discovered Luv2Eat after noticing its eye-​grabbing advertisement on the front page of Siam Town, a Thai newspaper that circulates around Los Angeles. The advertisement highlighted Phuket-​style food and a young chef. After browsing through the Unilocal photos, I found an item that stood out, the Phuket style crab curry with kanom jeen. I have seen kanom jeen served in soup noodles or with curries at regional Thai restaurants in LA, but this is the first time where I’ve seen it accompany seafood. If there’s an item to order at this restaurant, this specialty would be the one I would recommend.
The dish included about 3 pieces of blue crab immersed in a curry paste with a spice level that rivals the intensities of curries served at Night + Market. If you like hot and rich curries which are coconut-​based and flavored with lemongrass, sweet basil, garlic, and ginger, then this curry would make you feel like you are in heaven. The flavor reminds me of the complex Malaysian rendang sauce. Just the smell of it alone had me salivating.
This crab curry had a much thicker consistency compared to the curries of Bangkok which tend to be soupy. I splashed the curry on top of kanom jeen, which are white thin strands of boiled noodles made from fermented rice. The plate that arrives with the noodles also includes a medley of raw condiments such as a boiled egg, chopped green beans, bean sprouts, carrots, and mint leaves, which I assume are to be added as toppings to the noodles.
Luv2Eat also serves pan-​Thai fare outside of the chef’s Phuket and southern Thai specials. My dining companion ordered the kana moo krob, translated as Chinese broccoli with crispy pork. I thought that it was overall just average because the crispy pork was relatively dry and too chewy, but the use of garlic and fish sauce in the gravy to enhance flavors of the two main ingredients was exceptional.
For service, don’t expect Western-​style table service. The servers take your order, deliver it, and then retreat back behind the counter to play on their phones. That’s kind of typical in Thai Town.
