This is just some kind of gimmick that is easily avoided by paying a few extra dollars for normal parking. The representatives are nice guys, and they promised that if we gave them a try and used their promo code in the app, our first experience would be free. You can’t beat free parking in downtown Malibu! When we wanted to retrieve our car, though, we found the app completely unresponsive so we had to walk all the way back to the original stand where we met the rep. A different Luxe associate was there, who called the original guy. Our car showed up a few minutes later, and the reps demanded we pay $ 5. When we asked why it wasn’t free like they had promised, they claimed it was because we had to use the app to get our first try on them. $ 5 is still great for several hours of parking in Malibu, but it doesn’t feel great to be lied to and to use an app that simply doesn’t work. Next time I’ll be parking my car in a simple, reliable parking structure.

I used this service in Santa Monica, which has become a horrible place to drive to lately. After circling the blocks looking for a parking lot that wasn’t full, I saw the Luxe sign. I pulled over and asked the guy to explain the service. After downloading the app and setting up my account, the guy took my car keys and I went to where I was going. A few hours later I called for my car. It arrived promptly and in perfect condition. I will definitely use this app again!

Do Not Use, they will hurt your car and make you late. They are a nightmare. Super weird people Crummy management

Oh boy. Almost a fiasco yesterday trying to get Luxe Valet to retrieve my car in downtown LA. First, their locator could see where I was on the map but their pick up point kept identifying me as being in Venice. It kept saying It would take 50 minutes to retrieve my car. After canceling and trying to re-​enter the right address over and over again with the same result, I tried calling them. (By the way, their number is not easy to find). The operator said arrangements could only be done by the app and there was nothing she could do. After having to argue with her that the app wasn’t working right, she admitted to me that there were only 2 valets downtown and they were overloaded with people getting out of a show that they had partnered with to offer a free promotion. She had to first find my car (!) and would call me back on where and when it would come. After 39 minutes, they found the car. I gave the operator the address, but from the app I could see the driver was going to the wrong block!!! I called the driver and told him to wait, I would walk over (a block way which was clearly marked a different address). He was very young and clueless that he was at the wrong address. Unreal!!! I was late for my next appointment.
If they were sponsoring an event, you think they would have more valets, fix their app and train their people to handle it. Don’t think I’ll be using this again. Nice idea, but not ready for prime time.
