I’m a dude and I get my nails done. I choose this place because:
— by far has the best massage chairs. I melt right in and the chairs knead my back into butter. For me as a guy, quality massage chairs are essential.
— $ 30 mani pedi combo is value excellent
— all Asian women and know their nails. Can’t speak of anything more than a mani pedi (ie shellac, etc.) though.
— parking never a problem on Melrose.

They have a special for mani/​pedi for $ 30 and that includes organic sea salt scrubs. I did the special and my friend did the gel nails. My friend and I both were satisfied with the services. They have pretty interior and also the atmosphere is warm and quiet. I would visit this place again…

My friend and I tried this place on whim and we were both pretty disappointed. Our pedis took a long time, yet you couldn’t tell by looking at them. The gal that did mine was so bad at actually applying the nail polish, she was getting it all over my cuticles/​surrounding skin with every layer and scraping it off with her nail each go around (instead of waiting until the end and removing it with nail polish remover and a brush). I mean, I do a better job myself at home. And, although they weren’t rude, the staff certainly wasn’t friendly — only three gals there, two of which were working, and you could’ve heard a pin drop (awkward silence, much). It was just an unpleasant experience in many ways and we won’t go back and wouldn’t recommend the place; waste of time and money.

This is simply the best place for nails ever! My natural nails are a bit weak so I get acrylic on top (and full acrylic when I break nails off). They always do a fantastic job on my nails and I’ve had many beautiful manicures done (a few that went on their instagram, I believe) and my pedicures have always been beautiful and held up well. Today I went in and Tanya, Nima (I’m sorry if I mispelled your name), and Jack were in. Tanya saw to my nails while Nima gave me a very relaxing and beautiful pedicure. Their work is always flawless! Not to mention, they have a very extensive selection of OPI and essie colors. On top of that, I’ve come to Tanya several times with pictures of nail styles I’ve liked on pinterest, and not only will she emulate these styles, she makes them look even better! I refuse to go anywhere else! FANTASTIC!

This place did a great job, is posh, and they were very nice. 30 bucks for a manipedi, I like better than pampered hands!

I love this place. This is the only place I know that offers such quality service and $ 30 mani/​pedis with exfoliating salt included in the price. The staff is friendly and nice, they do a GREAT job and the owner, Tanya, is really chic (lol) and present most of the time! They run cute monthly mani/​pedi promotions (like Bellacures) but are much more affordable. This is my go to shop!

I stopped by later in the afternoon and they were able to take the walk-​in and I had come here many times previously when it was called Polish Couture, the management is still the same I think. The woman did a great job on my manicure, which was a great deal for $ 13. This place is reliable and parking is always easy. Highly recommend.

Got my nails done here because I was in the area and am looking for a new nail salon. I came here because of the nice interior and their $ 30 spa mani pedi deal. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon and no one was in here so I was seated very quickly. Needless to say, I had a good relaxing experience! They have a ton of great quality polishes and colors. They did a great job on my mani pedi too.
What stood out to me the most was how they use sea salt to exfoliate your feet. I LOVED it. Granted, it was a little rough and hurt but it is what I needed for my feet! The massage was good too! It wasn’t one of those lame, doing-​it-​to-​do-​it massages. I will definitely check this place out again.

The 30 for 45 $ deal is bullshit. They are totally understaffed. The lady who runs the show is very rude. They do not communicate effectively. I feel sorry for the girls who work there. They bribe customers by offering $ 5 coupons for good Unilocal reviews, probably bc they can’t get them
On their own.

I am very, very loyal to my fav salon in OC (see my review of Ocean View Nails) but was in need of a pedicure before my wedding shower and wasn’t planning on heading down to OC before then. I found a Unilocal deal for a pedicure here and was able to get an appointment for the next day (a Saturday morning), so that made my decision for me.
The inside of the salon is very clean and bright. They could probably use some soft music or something as the street noise gets a little excessive, but overall the environment seems very relaxing.
When I arrived, the women working were VERY nice, but seemed to be slightly baffled about what to do about the Unilocal coupon I had purchased. Rather than figuring it out privately (they had an hour and a half or so in which to figure things out as I had just arrived) they suddenly handed ME one of their cell phones with no explanation of who was on the other end or what I was supposed to talk to them about. I answered the phone a little confused, and the woman on the other end was about as confused as I was. She started asking me questions but I wasn’t following what she was saying so finally I covered up the phone and asked the woman starting on my pedicure who this was and why I was answering the phone. They told me that it was the owner of the salon (OHHHH) and I needed to talk to her about how to handle my Unilocal coupon. Okay. As a customer, I wasn’t exactly anticipating having to do any work but we figured it out over the phone and then I got back to relaxing and having my pedicure.
That was the great part — I got the deluxe pedicure which included a scrub, paraffin, a massage, and probably more things I’m forgetting. I was the only person in the salon the entire time, so she really took her time with me and I didn’t feel rushed which I REALLY appreciated.
She did a decent job on my toes. The painting was a little uneven around my cuticles but it was nothing major, and much better than I can do on my own. I had an event later that night and wore heels for 6+ hours; when I got home both of my big toes were chipped. Not sure if that was bad luck on my part or something on their end. However, I went back the next morning before my wedding shower for an emergency touch-​up and they fixed me up for free — and very thoroughly, I might add.
I think once they work things out this will be a really great place. If I’m in the same situation again where I need a last minute manicure or pedicure and don’t have time to go to OVN in OC, I will probably come back here and give them another try.
Disclaimer: I am pretty picky about nail places. This place was on the border between three stars and four stars, but I rounded down because I was a little unhappy with the handling of the Unilocal deal — it just felt really unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. Given that they’ve recently (re?)opened, I can chalk it up to that and give them another shot!

wonderful massages and they’re all very nice! This place is also very clean and beautiful. They could use a little more help on the expertise but since they’re just opening I think they’re off to a great start. Definitely coming back!!!

They do an amazing job! Will be coming back… I am very picky when it comes to mani pedi… but they are fantastic! Yay!
