Having just come back from a trip from Vegas, I still had a hankering for steak and roast beef. So last week, while I was with my folks at Farmers Market, I ended up at this place as I saw the slab of beef. I asked how much was it for a French dip, I was told about $ 12 for a sandwich with beef a little over ¼ lb. OK, I’ll try it. With the au jus, it was a warm appetizing snack for a rainy day. I said snack… because that’s all it was. In retrospect, I should have tried another place; roast beef is roast beef. Simplistically, the beef cost like $ 48/lb…I could have gone to the Brazilian place were my folks went and got all-meat at $ 16/lb. Oh well, live and learn. Magee’s is an OK place, just OK, nothing to shout about.

Another of the many food stands inside of Farmer’s Market, eaten hear a couple of times and the food has always been good, sandwiches are always made fresh and they take their time to make sure it is right, hand slicing each piece of meat that goes into constructing your meal, prices are a little higher than some other local sandwich shops but nothing outrageous. Had the French Dip this time and it was fantastic, they have several side dishes available but the sandwich is pretty filling. Reasonable prices, great staff, delicious food all at Farmer’s Market for that extra ambiance. Highly Recommended
