Makeup Artist Melissa Abad

Mel and myself go back years in the industry .
Let me tell you she diff is my go to Artist when I can not accommodate some weddings, special occasions private clients and photo shoots. She is a very talented artist whom I trust with my eyes shut. She knows what’s happening in the world of fashion and makeup. Time management, friendly attitude makes a perfect combo when dealing with a makeup artist, trust me on that, hire her any time you will not be disappointed. She is a joy to work with.

I felt and looked so beautiful on my wedding because of her. I received a ton of compliments on my makeup especially my eye makeup. Mel was able to get all 5 of my bridesmaids done in time and even squeezed in my mother-​in law to boot! We all looked great and I can’t wait to use her for other special events! Just like Allie W. I will never have anyone else do my make-​up!

Used Melissa again for a holiday party and she did a fantastic job. She did a really great job of making my make-​up dramatic… yet not too intense for me, since I rarely wear much make-​up. A delicate balance, but she nailed it! She had the perfect red to match my dress and even gave me a little to take with me in case I needed to re-​apply. =)

Mel did an amazing job for me for a photo shoot. I’m not really a glamor gal type and the makeup that she did for me was perfect!!! She was on time, very professional, and fantastic to work with, knowing exactly when I needed a touch up during the shoot. I would absolutely use her again!

Melissa did our makeup for my daughters Bat Mitzvah.
She did an amazing job. She is also very friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup and it was my daughters 13^th birthday. Melissa was able to do a very natural job.

Mel is amazing to say the least!!! She did my makeup for my wedding this past summer and she did such a PERFECT job. I am so picky with my makeup and have had it done many times and I am never satisfied with how I look. But with Mel, totally different, she did everything perfect and I fell in LOVE with how my makeup looked. She is so easy to get along with, super down to earth, punctual, professional and beyond talented.
Not once did I need a touch up on my makeup the day of my wedding, it looked so fresh the entire night (and we were partying until at least 4am). She was seriously the best wedding gift I received. I will only use Mel whenever I need my makeup done from now on. You will never go wrong with her! I HIGHLY recommend her!

Melissa did the makeup for my sister’s wedding and my wedding, and because of her, I felt like a movie star! I don’t typically wear a lot of makeup, but I kind of wish that I had her at my house to do my makeup every day. My husband’s reaction was so great! Not only did I love it, but so did he! (which was a great bonus!) I hire Melissa for all of my makeup needs!

I have had the pleasure of having my make up done by Mel on several occasions. Mel is not only professional but extremely talented. Although I’ve only had my make up done for special events, I’ve seen the different types of techniques and medium she’s used. Melissa is amazing with makeup. She has done my makeup twice and both times she listened to what I wanted and made me look so beautiful! She is so sweet and very fair, which makes for such a pleasant experience throughout. Plus-​her makeup and hair is always on point.

Melissa is my go-​to wedding make up artist! I’m a wedding planner and have seen A LOT of make up artists but Melissa is by far the most talented and efficient one I’ve worked with over my 5 years in the event industry in LA.
What I love most about her is she makes my clients (brides) feel comfortable and leaves them looking like a beautifully enhanced version of themselves on their wedding day unlike some artists who will make the client look like a completely different person with the amount of makeup they apply. She has a great eye for what will look good both in person and on camera. She also has great time management, she is great at getting all bridal party + brides make-​up done efficiently and on time, which is every coordinator (and photographers) dream!

Love, Love, Love Mel! I met Mel through a mutual friend while i was looking for someone to do my makeup for my wedding. The moment I met her I felt like I was hanging out with my best friend. She is so easy to get a long with that I knew i was going to hire her before she was done doing my makeup that day. She is amazing at what she does. Not only is she the best but she is professional, punctual, and efficient with her time. I’ve had my makeup done several times in my life and i’ve never once liked the way i’ve looked after getting it done. Totally different with Mel!!! If you’re going to have someone floating around inches from your face for a couple of hours while transforming you into a supermodel, it should be Mel. With her bright smile, ruby red lipstick, and fun-​loving personality, Melissa Abad makes what can be a grueling process into one of the best experiences you could ask for. Mel did my wife’s make-​up for our engagement photos as well as our wedding. After over two years of marriage, my wife still constantly gets compliments on how beautiful and fresh she looks in those photos. Along with being super-​talented, it’s Mel’s personality that makes her stand out among the billions of other make-​up artists out there. You will not find a better person or a better artist. Hands down.

Melissa has done my make up 3 times now, including for my own wedding. I can honestly say I never felt so beautiful than I did on my big day. She is a total professional, and you can feel comfortable being completely honest with her on what you like and don’t like. She wont let you go until you are 100% happy with the result. I am trying to come up with my next excuse to get my make up done by Mel. Highly recommended!

Mel has done my makeup for several occasions including my birthday, a grammy event and photos shoots. All different events require different looks. Working in the entertainment industry as an actress and model for several years you work with a lot of makeup artists. Mel’s technique is flawless. But not only does she know what she is doing, she listens to exactly the look you are trying to obtain and she delivers. I can send her a picture, or simply explain to her what I want and she always gives me exactly what I am looking for. Every time she works on my face I get so many compliments.
From natural to glam she can achieve just about any look you want. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about her. And not all makeup artists are friendly to be around. She is such a sweet person and makes the time go by fast. I would recommend Mel to anyone looking for a makeup artist!

Melissa is a fantastic makeup artist. She made me FLAWLESS for the Daytime Emmy’s. She is punctual, thorough and knows what works well on different types of women. As a blonde, I never thought I could pull off a red lip but she found the right shade and made my lips look incredible for the big night! She’s fun to talk to, down to earth and overall an incredible friend. I’ll refer all of my friends to Melissa for anything makeup related!
