Makeup By Kajal

Kajal is amazing! She always takes the time to listen and understand what look it is I’m trying to achieve and will give me a couple of options to choose from. I’m slightly darker than the average Asian woman but have very yellow undertones so most artists have a difficult time matching my color. Kajal however, made me look flawless! Her makeup collection is endless, I was very impressed. I also have thin eyelids (which I happen to love), that artists for some reason like to over shade but she was able to accentuate them perfectly! — Kajal has great energy and is very pleasant to work with. She is definitely my go to girl, I use her for all my events. It’s evident that she’s passionate about her work and is very professional so I have no hesitation in recommending her.

I met Kaj when we both worked at Nieman Marcus in Beverly Hills. I have been a make up artist through out my whole lifetime retired now and enjoying life… lol! I would watch Kaj as she performed her duties at work but I specially watch her do her performance’s omg! what an amazin talent she was and izzzz! I have seen many make up artist but she has some thing that a make up artist needs to have besides talent and that is her love for her work comes from the heart… she is so passionate about her work and it shows as she is doing her thing… the thing is the magic which transforms u and maximizes ur beauty to a level u have never experienced before. You will look like yourself just better! she will teach you how to make ur cosmetics last longer by using the right tools to make it easier for u… she is so worth ur time plus u will gain a new friend…

I had my wedding makeup done by Kajal, and she is really awesome. I instantly felt comfortable with her when we met for the preview a month prior to the wedding, and she was so honest and real with me. She said it didn’t matter how many trials it took, we’d get the exact look I was wanting, and that was so reassuring. We actually ended up going with a different makeup style than I had originally planned, which turned out so much better than I could have imagined. It’s hard to take a risk on your wedding day, but Kajal isn’t afraid of trying something new. Afterall, it’s makeup. If I didn’t like it, we could just start over. She did my mom and sister’s makeup too, and they looked spectacular. The makeup/​foundation she uses photographs beautifully, even the photographer I worked with mentioned how well the light/​quality/​texture looked in pictures without any retouching or editing. I met Kajal years ago when she was working at MAC in Hollywood. I walked in there looking for some new makeup and decided to get my makeup done while I was in there. Usually, I am not a HUGE fan of the work some of the artists do at MAC (they tend to make me look like a, ahem, drag queen), but Kajal had a way with enhancing my features making me look beautiful without looking too done up. From that moment, I knew I would be back for more! When she decided to start doing freelance for weddings, parties, etc, I immediately started recommending her to a few friends who were getting married and have only received positive feedback. Recently, she did makeup for a wedding I was a bridesmaid in and the bride and the rest of bridal party were very happy with both Kajal as a person and her work. Not only is she really good at what she does, but she is very professional, accommodating, and is great at listening to what you want while combining it with her expertise leaving you feeling more than satisfied with the finished product. Bottom line, I trust her and have yet to be disappointed.

Kajal did my bridal makeup, and I could not have been any happier. From the very first few minutes of my trial, her professionalism was very apparent. She is super sweet, and actually cares about making you feel confident and beautiful. After my trial look was complete, I was literally near tears when I looked in the mirror, because Kajal made me look so beautiful. I loved that she talked me through what she was doing, and how we could bounce ideas off each other to create exactly what I wanted. She is truly an artistic genius, but more than that, she becomes a friend to you throughout the whole process. I got so many compliments on my makeup, and have already given out a dozen referrals to friends and family who have asked. You have to, have to give her a chance. I am sure you will be blown away. I am so thankful that I found Kajal, and I am definitely going to come back to her over and over again for any of the professional makeup needs that arise in my future. Incredibly sweet and talented. I’ve had Kajal do my makeup for a couple different special occasions (weddings, graduations, etc) and I’ve been blown away every time. I love how she always tries something new with me and really tries to create a whole «look» (she always makes me show her my outfit before we discuss colors!). I always leave her feeling beautiful and get sooo many compliments on my makeup. She’s also incredibly professional, and so sweet and really funny. Every session feels like I’m getting ready with my best friend! Yay!
Anyway, I highly recommend her. She’s absolutely amazing. You will be so happy (and pretty) that you did!

Kajal is awesome. Not only is she super sweet and smart but this girl knows her makeup. She had worked for MAC in her previous life which was the look I was going for. Because I hadn’t seen much of her work before, I admit that I was a bit nervous. I am South Asian (Indian) but would be doing both a Hindu and White Dress ceremony. My concern was finding someone that could accomplish both looks without too much makeup changing in between. Kajal did just that. From my first phone call to the wedding day, she operated with complete professionalism. She was quick to schedule a trial and easy to work with. During the trial she was patient as my then fiancée had all sorts of ideas of what she should and shouldn’t do. My favorite comment was when she tried a deep purple lipstick shade and my fiancé suggested that it gave me a circus look =). She did not get disheartened but rather kept trying different colors and styles until both he and I were completely satisfied .She was also able to translate my concern of too much makeup and balance it with the needs to put enough makeup on to show through in the professional pictures. On the day of the wedding Kajal and her sister (who does hair) showed up on time and ready to work. As South Asian brides know, there is a lot of jewelery and headpiece action associated with Indian weddings and our photographer did not want to miss a beat. Kajal and her sister were great in working with them to make sure that EVERY moment was captured. The final result– perfection. I loved my makeup and received numerous compliments.. All in all– if you are looking for a talented and personable makeup artist who knows her stuff, Kajal is your girl. Did I mention she is super sweet !!!

and did a fantastic job executing the vision I had in mind for the models. I would highly recommend her for fashion editorials, e-​commerce and other shoots where models are involved. Her chemistry with them was amazing and is both professional and a pleasure to work with. I plan on hiring her for my next project and have recommended her to my friends.
