I love Maria’s pizza but I feel they should let customers know about their specials.

I called for a 6 pm reservation for a week night for 7 people and Nicki the hostess refused to take a reservation and said I had to have 8 people. I do not get it. For a restaurant with only 3 star review, you would think they would be more open for something like this.

My roommate brought home a cold mushroom sausage & olive, pizza from this place. I ate two slices. COLD, that was as good as the best pizza I’ve had, in Los Angeles. I can only imagine what it taste like, hot! I’ll go get myself one of their pies. So I went on Unilocal to choose a pizza. They don’t even list that they sell pizzas. A clear sign. I ordered a medium combination pizza, for takeout. Girl at the counter was both pretty and friendly. The flavors and sauce were amazing, while the dough/crust was complete and utter garbage. Won’t be going back, but I hope they get their act together, A little attention to pizza dough and they will have an awesome pizza.

Great, fresh and high quality ingredients. Decently priced. And an amazing server named Jeff! Such a great family friendly restaurant. Have come many times and will continue to come back.

I like the Fra Diavolo! So good! It’s spicy marinara sauce and chicken. It’s always a delight!

Maria’s is solid. We’d missed lunch and came in for dinner on what was a cold LA evening. The décor was cozy. The place was full of families. Based on the menu it’s easy to see why. They served some tasty focaccia bread, but we also ordered garlic knots — yes, this was a carb fest! — which were great when you bit into a piece with big hunks of garlic on it! Then we shared the spinach salad and the seasonal ravioli. Both were really good but they did forget to put the cranberries in the salad so we had to ask for them. The dressing was good though. Service was good even though they were busy. Maria’s is solid is the best way to describe it.

This place is pretty good for basic Italian. It’s not super high end but very tasty. I have had the pizzas, lasagne and salads and they were all very good. The staff are very nice and the service is good. The ambience in here is really nice, cosy and classy, and they have a beautiful bar inside and an outdoor patio.

Really bad service. Ordered a salad and it came with no dressing. Took 10 mins to hunt down wait we to let him know. My husband ordered pasta with chicken and it came without chicken but they still charged us. Had to ask for bread three times before he brought us bread. Everything took so long. Seems like both the wait staff and the cooks don’t know what they are doing.

New the neighborhood and I always like having my «go to» spots and especially an Italian one. Carried out the chicken florentine and it was quite bland. I’ll give the restaurant another try or two as there are a few items that looked interesting to me but if it’s more bland food I will be tasting, I don’t think Maria’s will be my local«go to» Italian spot. It’s a shame because it’s so close and when I find a place I like, they usually end up knowing me. Any suggestions for a good comparably priced Italian in the area?

This was my first time at this restaurant. The parking in the back, at this restaurant is not free!?! $ 4 dollars for parking, are the serious? Food wasn’t bad but was a bit overpriced by the portion we got. A bowl of veggie soup is around $ 6 dollars, a small bowl of pasta is $ 16 dollars. Way over priced in my opinion, especially since the restaurant wasn’t even a fancy place. It’s a small old dinner. The crazy part is when we paid by cash, the waiter came back with our change and said«if you don’t mind, we kept the 33cents change.» WHATTHE F!!! I mean it’s not about the 33cents I’m arguing about here, but it’s the principle of the situation. Who says that their keeping our change. Luckily, my cousin paid and it wasn’t my money, but if it was my tab, I’d ask for my 33cents. I won’t be coming here anymore.

Maria’s pizza is good — one of the closer to real New York pizza you can get in LA — the other dishes are also good and consistent. The West LA location is just super-slow. In person the service is below average. So it makes eating here less fun. But today I decided to order delivery — nightmare! It’s been an hour and a half — still no food — finally I called and got out on hold while they«checked» which of course — without taking my info they couldn’t. So you can have a great product but if you make it difficult to get you will lose business.

Came in for a quick bite to eat for lunch and phone ordered a lasagna and a fountain sized Coke(20oz. cup) over the can of Coke since it’s 80* in West L.A. today. This is my first time here. But have driven past it before. So upon walking into Maria’s. It’s quaint and modern. The case/counter/register area are very clean in appearance. The kitchen staff is almost in plain view(a good thing) since the prep area blocks your complete view. The adjacent room near the rear parking lot was stifling hot in temperature. I don’t know what was going on in there. But I walked through that room very quickly! Parking is very limited and there is metered parking street side. I ordered the meat lasagna and man o man was it rich in flavor and had great textures! My order came with rosemary baked slices of bread which were cut in pizza style slices served along with parmesan and crushed red pepper. All in all I would come back for another round of food here since I really enjoyed it!

Great and cheap option for a hearty lunch. I always get the Pasta Primavera, add chicken, lunch portion size and it fills me up! Service is great and it’s never overly crowded here so I don’t have to ever wait like I do with some restaurants down Sawtelle. They have street parking and also a parking lot behind and across the street as well. All are meters. AMEX accepted.

Maria’s West LA is a cute spot for a casual lunch or dinner. They have a great atmosphere, homey décor and excellent service. Their back patio is especially good for groups and family meals, because it feels like you are outdoors but it’s covered and has heaters. Maria’s kitchen is reliable because their food is always good. My favorites are the Lasagna and the Chicken Piccata. Overall, the portions are generous and dishes are fairly priced.

Take out & delivery are solid. $ 5 delivery fee. Broccoli pesto pasta is good and generous on the pesto. The food is basic and not over seasoned, but some might find it bland. Prices are a little much for the basic food. Haven’t tried the pizza yet, but we’ll order delivery again soon so…

Me and a few friends came in on a Sunday night and the waitress Angelina kindly recommended the Lobster Ravioli. OMG it was so freakin’ good! Not only was the food good but the service was excellent. Angelina was nice courteous and attentive. This is definitely going to be my new go-to Italian spot.

I was disappointed. This place is so charming inside — warm light, cozy — the perfect casual Italian ambiance. It’s across the street from the Landmark too. But, I think they cook from frozen, ready-to-go meals. That’s the only way I can describe the eggplant Parmesan that I had here.

We were starving after a long day at the beach and wonderful massages. So it isn’t surprising that we were mesmerized by the Happy Hour sign and couldn’t resist! * Complimentary pizza bread with dipping sauce — Who doesn’t like free pizza bread? Pretty decent and filling before your meal arrives. * Clam chowder & Caesar salad(soup & ½ salad combo) — Both tasted fine, but the salad portion was VERY tiny. If that was a ½ portion, the full portion wouldn’t even be enough. * Meatball appetizer — Quite hefty! For the happy hour price, this was a great deal for 3 large meatballs. * Pasta Pomodoro with angel hair pasta + chicken — Average for the price. I did appreciate the portion they added on for the chicken and that this dish was enough for two of us to share since we had other appetizers. Service was quite friendly but a little slower than we liked as we had to catch a flight home. We had to flag someone down to request the check. The décor is very diner-style with black and white checked tablecloths. Reminiscent of an Olive Garden but with fresher ingredients. DATETIP: Get some appetizers so you can also share a pasta dish. Perhaps you’ll get to have a special ‘Lady & the Tramp’ noodle experience.
