I had the pleasure of coming across this hidden gem last week and to my surprise, their selection of houseware products is quite extensive. Their broad range of plate, cup, and utensil designs run from simple to elaborate. Their extensive array of products coupled with their unwavering customer service created a wonderful and unmatched shopping experience!

I have bought several items from Marigold Housewares in the past few years and very satisfied with each purchase. They carry both modern and tradition houseware items and Judaica, all of good quality and great taste. My most recent purchase was a modern teapot and kettle set both with red handles. The prices are very fair and the store location is easily accessible. This is a family run business with a friendly atmosphere and great customer service.

Stopped by this home goods store to get a gift for my niece and sister in law. I saw online, that they have these cute matching aprons for mothers and daughters. Purchased the pink polka dot set.
Saw the store also has a wife variety of name brand items below retail. Very unique and price effective. While I was there, I also purchased a set of ceramic cookware. The ceramic pots had a modern design, with rubber handles– you could tell the quality was amazing.

What a beautiful selection of homewares. I was especially amazed at how many lovely vases were available.
I came in for some cookware and ended up getting a few gifts for my family as well because I found such unique and interesting items. The staff were quite helpful, really attentive and made some excellent suggestions. Prices were very reasonable too.

I purchased a cute and modern PARS persian rice cooker through their online store. Typically the PARS rice cookers in the international markets around town are the larger stainless steel looking model & you must use a minimum of 3 ‘rice cooker cups’ to cook in them. This place had a new modern PARS rice cooker that was not the stainless steel color. The ones they carry look super nice! You could also use as small as just 1 ‘rice cooker cups’ to cook in the pot. Item was packed well and shipped fast. I’ll be sure to buy more of these from them as gifts. Perhaps I’ll even travel to their store to save a bit on shipping. They were also the only ones to have all 3 sizes and had the cheapest price.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Just bought a rice cooker from them and it works great! Rice is cooked perfectly and they even referred me to their great blog with recipes! Highly recommend!

I initially came to Marigold Houseware & Gifts to find a rice cooker for my father as a Father’s Day gift. I was not disappointed! I initially had thought I would get an idea of what to buy at Marigold, and then go on to eBay or Amazon to make the purchase for cheaper. It turns out the prices at the store are so reasonable that they are better than what I found online. Their assortment of rice cookers was so great that I could choose between machines that make 6 cups, 8 cups, 10 cups, and 20 cups of rice at one time. I also got so distracted by all the beautiful silverware and other kitchen accessories that the store carries. It is neat and clean, and the man at the counter was very knowledgeable. I would definitely come back.

went in to see if he had some particular items, this place is great if you are looking for silverware, gifts or your occasional seasonal cookery. its a mom and pop shop like atmosphere. meaning they dont price match, and because of the community they wont discount. its right next to a candy /​ice cream shop. this place is not open saturdays and jewish holidays. if you send your wife there she might pick up a thing or two. i will return if im in the area to pick up some more things from there…

This interesting shop specializes in a variety of kitchen items including aprons, teapots/​kettles, and coffeepots used for brewing it in the Turkish or West Asian style. Persian style rice cookers are a specialty here and a good variety in both size and cost is available. Non-​kitchen items, pretty much all of which are suitable as gifts, pertain mainly to the «next room» as you would use them in serving tea and coffee, or snacks to your guests. There are also Judaic gifts, mainly kiddush cups.
None of the staff volunteered to help me, but when I approached them they were very courteous and helpful. I actually prefer shops like this, because I enjoy the opportunity to look around on my own before initiating the transaction. The man I spoke to was very helpful in explaining how the rice cookers work. They don’t offer ordinary rice steamers, but assured me that Persian rice cookers can be used for that purpose as well.

Marigold is a great store for your houseware and gift needs. They have beautiful vases, trays, and crystal bowls which would make great wedding gifts (Judaica gifts, too!). They also have more practical dinnerware and kitchen items, including pots and pans.
I stopped by recently looking for a rice cooker… whenever we try to cook rice in a regular pot, it ends up being too mushy and my friend swears by her rice cooker. Marigold has a nice selection to choose from and their prices are competitive with anything you would find online — plus you can pick it up right from them and don’t have to wait for it to be shipped. The Pars Rice Cooker is especially cool — it’s the most popular in its class for creating «Persian Rice,» which is delicious.
Overall the store is really perfect for finding that special gift or particular kitchen item that you need. The staff here is friendly and informative, without being pushy, and I’ll definitely return to purchase a gift as wedding season is coming up!

I have been searching the Internet for a PARS Rice Cooker. My search lead me to Marigold Houseware & Gifts website
. They had the rice cooker listed at the cheapest price I was able to find. I emailed them to confirm availability and price and they promptly responded by confirming price, availability, and their hours.
On Sunday, December 8, 2013, I drove down to their store at 8855 West Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, to pick up the PARS Rice Cooker. Parking was easy to find on Pico. I was met by a friendly, courteous, and helpful staff. The owner demonstrated to me how to use the rice cooker to achieve the best results.
If you are looking for that hard to find exquisite gift item, I strongly recommend giving Marigold Houseware & Gifts a call or search their website. My search paid off by finding the best price on the item I was looking for.
Oh, the rice cooker works as advertised and I am very delighted with my purchase. I am really very pleased !!!

What a quaint gift shop. Came looking for a gift for a close friend and ended up getting some housewares too. Very good quality crystal and silver. Very unique items that make great gifts for anyone. They also carry a variety of kosher holiday and religious items for any celebration including weddings.
Street parking is abundant and easy. Location is easy to find from Pico Blvd. Their inventory is well organized and easy to see. It’s an easy place to shop.
Because of the delicate nature of most of the inventory, leave the kids at home and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere while you’re shopping.

Marigold is a small, well-​organized gift and housewares store on Pico just West of Robertson. There is metered street parking.
Regarding housewares, they have mainly serving ware. They do carry a variety of rice cookers.
What caught my eye were the serving platters. Marigold carries a number of both modern and antique styles. Certainly a really lovely gift whether someone has a modern or more old-​fashioned décor.
They also carry a number of gift items (plates, picture frames, etc.) inscribed in the Hebrew alphabet. Charming little place.

This little store has great deals and is quite the find. They have everything from kitchen hardware to little Nick nacks. And their elegant serving dishes are just beautiful and affordable .And for company they have rice cookers, Persian cultured cooking items as well as a quaint little variety of teas and coffees. The aprons are to die for, they are too cute! They even have old school whistling teapots. which are hard to find. Definitely one of the cutest stores on that strip.

Their tea sets make great last minute presents! They have a lot of Middle Eastern style items, possibly Persian. All in all a very interesting location to shop for special occasions.

This store was somewhat easy to find, but only with the help of my mapping app on my phone. I could see how someone could walk right by it if they hadn’t known that it was on THAT specific block, and hadn’t been looking for it (which is a shame, since I feel like this area of Pico could easily get a lot of foot traffic, and since their merchandise seems to be specifically catered to the Jewish community that surrounds the store (seder plates, menorahs, amongst other things) I could see them getting a lot more walk-​in business should they make their window display more appealing.
The staff was very nice, the woman was on the phone at the time, but periodically would stop to offer her assistance should I need it, so I wasn’t bothered while I looked around. I was hoping to have a bit more of a selection of items to browse because when I think housewares and gifts, I think lamps, vases, frames, as well as kitchen items like bowls, pots, pans and cooking utensils/​supplies.
Mostly their inventory was limited to some pots, not many pans that I could see, and a lot of rice cookers (obviously designed to cater to Persian or Isreali cooking), but very few silverware sets, bowls or plates, and no kitchen TOOLS that I could see. The stuff they had seemed to be in good condition, but not easily viewable prices, and many things looked mildly dusty. As for gifts, that was mostly limited to the Jewish merchandise near the front, a few novelty tea sets and some aprons. I asked if they had any frames, they pointed me in the direction of 2.
I’m 28 and do not actively Jewish, so I understand that this is the kind of store that caters to someone older, with a family, from a particular culture. Still, I feel that their merchandise could be laid out in a more organized, eye-​drawing manner, with clear labelling of their «departments». I didn’t find anything that I felt I needed to buy, but their website (
) shows a great deal more items. Their store just needs to reflect a similar organization and feel, as their ABOUT US promises «SMART. MODERN. LUXURY», and if I had seen the site first, I would have been disappointed upon visiting the showroom. Which is a shame, because they seem like nice people who take good care of their business. Hopefully it will translate to the store sometime soon!

Well it’s a good thing it’s next door to Muchies otherwise I would’ve never found Marigold’s! They need a bigger sign… with some neon lights… or a dancing marigold out front! Anything so I don’t circle the block 3 times looking for this place!
I stopped in looking for a tea set, possibly even a tea pot as well. I was pleased to find they had a nice selection. I wasn’t greeted at first when I walked in, but when I had a question the woman got up to help me and she was extremely nice & helpful. They also had other kitchen items, coffee mugs, pots, candles, and small kitchen appliances. The $ 5 and under shelf near the front entrance was very tempting! There was a ceramic non-​stick deep pot that was calling my name! It was only $ 5 why the hell didn’t I just get it!!! Being that its in a Jewish neighborhood there were some very beautiful cultural items as well. The menorahs were some of the nicest ones I’ve seen! And I couldn’t help but envision yummy Persian rice and kebabs on the gorgeous serving platters they had on display.
I didn’t get my tea set because I feel like they had more options on their website, and perhaps I’d see something there I’d prefer instead. Otherwise, not bad for a little neighborhood housewares shoppe!
