Mariscos El Gringo

Went in for my first time and got seated right away. The waitress (didn’t get her name) was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the shrimp cocktail. My order came out within 10 minutes. It was great. I like how they have different sauces to add to your food. My waitress kept checking up on me and we even had a casual chat. The only complaint I had was that the water that they serve had a very bad after taste. I did not mention it though since I didn’t care and did not bother to finish drinking it but if I came back and the water was like that again I would say something.

Ordered the Botana, price $ 13. The dish was supposed to have fish, shrimp and octopus. It had 15 octopus strips no fish and no shrimp. I was ripped off. The ceviche style dish is served with chips, on an aluminum container that is for sauces (think taco truck). Disappointing. $ 2 fee for using a debit card. Service was not bad. Its the food left so much to be desired.

Terrible food, terrible service. We ordered aguachile oysters, ceviche tostada mixta, as well as shrimp and fish tacos. We were very excited to try especially since tacos were only $ 1.00. You get what you pay for. Basically its a deep fried tortilla with a fish stick inside (maybe some fish/​shrimp but mostly you your eating the breaded layer) Not good. The aguachile oysters smelled fishy and were not good at all and I don’t think they are fresh. The ceviche wasn’t anything special, I was disappointed and I dont think the ingredients they use are fresh. The only good thing we had were the micheladas, those were very tasty. But our experience with the waitress just made everything bad. She was very rude. And if you see any good posts here its because they tell you if you write a good review, we’ll give you a shot/​beer next time you come in on the house. Also its 2016, you can’t get a decent credit card machine? Instead of taxing your customers $ 2 for every credit card transaction. We had separate checks and everyone was charged. Don’t waste your time or money at this place.
If the owner sees this, you must know the quality of your staff is terrible, your waitress was rude and basically kicked out all of your customers at 930pm when they were still working on their food and beers.

Caldo de camarones and campencana. Couple Fish tacos too.
Good efficient attractive wait staff.
Would like a full bar but was very pleasantly surprised.

Where do I start. place had a fun environment with loud bamaba beat. The michelada was very tasty and we’ll seasoned. the raw food was delightful. they don’t have real tequila. it’s only wine teqila. icky… so neendless to say the margaritas are literally cough syrup bullshit… don’t drink I promise you’ll thank me!!! Thier waiters are very accommodating and very attentive. Food eh. but we had fun in the end. DON’T drink the margaritas

I live here ! I come here all the time with my friends/​family. That’s how good this place is. I get excellent service Brandie, George and Viri. Their like family now. They always greet me and ask hows everything. They always hug me when I come with my fiancé. The whole staff is great. I feel a good vibe here that’s why I come often. Plus there micheladas are so good. Fish tacos are good plus the pasta. I could go on and on. But y’all get it. It’s bomb.

Lived right around the corner from this restaurant and never been in… until today! 99 cent fish tacos are sooo delicious. Nice restaurant! Tv’s music and $ 3 beers yum!

Bad customer service… the woman on the phone was rude when inquiring about my deivery that was over an hour late. When i cancelled the order because she said it was going to be another 20 minutes, she hung up in my face. this is not how ypu treat paying customers.

Seriously, the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. Stumbled upon this hidden gem looking for something quick to eat for lunch. The service is excellent and food is fresh and delicious. Excites your taste buds, that’s for sure.

I was in the area and had a taste for fish tacos. Opened my Unilocal app and found this spot. I ordered for the first time through the Unilocal app. They immediately confirmed my order with a ³⁰⁄₄₅ min wait time. WHAT?!? It’s just two tacos and fries and I’ve only got 15 minutes. I called the restaurant and confirmed the wait time. To my delight I got a call right back saying the order would be ready in 5 minutes. The location has a nice atmosphere and pretty cool fish tank inside. I didn’t appreciate being ogled by the table of guys drinking beers on their lunch break but that’s not the restaurants fault.
The food was pretty tasty. Crispy fried fish tacos topped with salsa and cabbage with seasoned fries. Not sure if the fish wasn’t just fish sticks, though. But for $.99 a taco, I’ll be back!

I found this hidden gem by accident. I was hungry and saw a sign that said «Fish Tacos» I thought that sounds good. Walked in and immediately loved the live Mariachi band and was greeted warmly. I ordered the fish tacos to go. It was really busy, so it took a awhile, but that didn’t matter because I was enjoying my Corona Michelada! The Micheladas are so good. All the ingredients are fresh. I have never had a better Michelada. So, I get home and get into the fish tacos. Oh my goodness! So delicious! I like them so much I haven’t tried anything else! But I am sure its all good! When I try something else I will edit my review! I have taken several people and the consensus is the same! Gringo’s rocks! Cheers! Here’s to happy accidents!

Loved it!!! Found my Sunday hangover cure. Everything was delicious and the waitress was very attentive.

Worst service ever! Didn’t even greet us when we came in. Waited 50 mins for the food and yet it still didn’t come out. I asked what was taking so long and the chubby waitress said that it was coming right out. So we waited another 10 mins and still nothing! Then the skinny waitress named Nia started giving us an attitude telling us that we needed to wait when we waited 60 mins. We couldn’t wait any longer so we asked for our money back and Nia and the other waitress started talking in Spanish thinking we wouldn’t understand that the food wasn’t ready, that it wasn’t even made! Seriously?! Such horrible service! I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Was in the mood for some good Maris is found this place on Unilocal and decided why not. Loved the food service was great and with a smile and one the craziest presentation of mechelada. Definitely coming back. Happy hour after 4:00

Hands down worst shrimp tacos I’ve ever had. Speechless. Oh and service sucks.
Takeout order no bag, no napkins, girl is too busy trying to look pretty it’s just an annoying environment. I honestly couldn’t believe i was recommended here!

Really good ceviche !! Their micheladas are yummy! Came here during lunch and they gave my coworker and myself great service. Portions are large so definitely worth the money.

Benni, the server is great. Also, really good music. Latin mixed with R&B and some old school hip hop coming through the speakers.
I have fish tacos to go. I can’t wait to bite into them. They ate the hard shell tacos and I can’t really taste the fish, but it’s ok. Can’t say that I’ll be in a rush to get back, but hey, if I’m in the neighborhood and nothing else insight, I’ll be back.

Really good fish tacos and micheladas. Great service considering there’s only one waitress. Will come again.
