Working with Mark and his staff was wonderful! My fiancé asked me what exactly I wanted in my engagement ring and I really didn’t know. I knew I wanted a sapphire, so I found Mark’s number online and asked him if he could design a ring for me. My husband found a design that he fell in love with at first sight. The only problem was finding a jeweler that can duplicate it. We were looking for a true artist that was an intricate craftsman that also pays close attention to detail. After meeting with several other jewelers, we thought the design would never come to life.

When my fiancé and I got engaged in the fall of 2014, we thought that we had found the engagement ring of her dreams. However, as her first year with the ring passed, the rose gold’s pink luster gradually faded and turned yellow. We were devastated, as rose gold was a key feature of the ring for us, and my fiancé wanted to finish her set with a matching rose gold wedding band. We did not trust the original jeweler who sold us the ring to help us the right way and were not sure what we could do.
One November day in LA’s jewelry district, Mark Broumand came to our rescue. We walked into his store without an appointment on a Sunday afternoon and his team immediately sat down with my fiancé and I to understand our situation and look at her ring. Mark’s team worked with us to learn exactly what we wanted in our ideal ring set. Mark personally educated us on the differences between manufactured (what we had unknowingly purchased) and custom crafted (his specialty) rings. We left that day without making a purchase, but we felt knowledgeable and fully informed about our options.
The next week we returned to Mark Broumand and purchased a custom crafted engagement setting for the original diamond with a matching, custom crafted wedding band. It took Mark about one month to complete the ring set and we were able to keep the original engagement ring for most of that time.
The result of Mark’s work is absolute perfection. My fiancé now has the rose gold, micro paved ring set of her dreams, right down to every detail (diamonds surrounding the base of the setting, completely solid ring with no manufactured indentations or gaps). I highly recommend Mark Broumand and intend to return there for future business.

First let me say I live in the northern suburbs of Chicago where we have access to world-class jewelers both in the City and along the North Shore.
I knew I wanted a radiant cut diamond eternity band for my anniversary and found Mark online after first seeing what our local jewelers had to offer. I was very hesitant to make such a purchase online but I vetted him and found endless reviews that spoke about the ease of working with him, his attention to detail, his artistry and the beauty of his designs.
We exchanged numerous emails and every time my vision changed (the look of F vs G in an eternity band? VVS2 vs VS1? more square radiant or more elongated radiant? Size 5.5 because in winter rings are looser? Size 6 because in summer rings fit more tightly?) Mark’s answer was always YES, we can do that.
The ring came on Monday and it is beyond beyond.
Mark has a flawless eye and the pride he rightfully takes in his artistry is
well-deserved.

I can’t say enough about how great it was to work with Mark. My wife wanted a custom designed eternity band using Asher cut diamonds. I asked Mark to create a special eternity ring for me for our 10 year anniversary. It was challenging since i asked for a custom designed band to gradually taper from larger stones to smaller stones. My husband was nervous since he’s never seen anything like it before but when I got it, I almost cried, it was just exquisite and just what I had visualized.
When I saw this jaw dropping ring, it was like getting engaged all over again and feel so grateful (to not only my wonderful and generous husband) but also to Mark’s perfectionist nature and attention to detail.

I worked with Mark Broumand to purchase the ring of my dreams. I found the store online and was nervous about making a big purchase online. I called and spoke the them and they were helpful, responsive and patient with fact that I wasn’t ready to buy. I found myself in LA and went to the store. They were wonderful, but more importantly, the jewelry was incredible. The pictures online don’t do justice to the quality of the products. After doing much research and going to visit a few places in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, I just couldn’t find the ring that I was looking for. A yellow diamond is much more rare and a bit pricier than what was in my budget. But one day I came across Mark Broumand’s website and decided to stop into their store in Downtown LA and check it out. How can you not give 5 stars when you end up with the ring of your dreams on your finger?
My fiancé worked with Mark on making photos of my dream ring into a reality. Under normal circumstances I would have rathered not to be part of the process, but he was so nervous that he was going to get me a ring that I didn’t love (is that even possible when I love him this much? NO).
Mark worked with my fiancé to make sure that the ring was perfect and also within his budget. He made the process so very easy and pleasant. We will absolutely return to Mark and his team when it comes to wedding band time!

I would give Mark Broumand my business again and I’ve recommended him to others, so that qualifies him for five stars in my book despite minor glitches mentioned below.
I was looking for an engagement ring with my (then) girlfriend and we found one that we liked at a very top end diamond retail establishment, but it was out of reach financially. We weren’t flummoxed, since you can’t always afford what you like the most. And surely the design would be similar to more affordable rings elsewhere, right? So we continued to look, but we just couldn’t find anything that came close. That is, until we visited Mark Broumand.
Mark had a prior custom design pictured on his web site that had elements of what we wanted. After finding that ring in his display cases, showing him pictures, and talking about it we agreed to have a custom ring made to our specifications. We chose from an assortment of loose diamonds in his store and I have to say that the whole thing is exactly what we wanted at a price that we could afford and it’s beautiful.
The diamond came with a GIA certification and my fiancée wears it with pride and gets compliments all the time. Really, it’s surprising how frequently the comments roll in.
This whole process wasn’t without glitches. The potentially most serious one was that we were supposed to approve drawings of the design via email, but the first email we received was, «The ring is done!» Actually, it wasn’t that short — there was an apology for missing the approval step. Mark or his staff is very good about writing cordial emails, so it wasn’t irritating and we loved the ring anyway. Truth be told, the discussion we had was pretty clear about what we wanted and he got it all. So on this mistake I’m calling no harm, no foul.
I found that weekends are best for visiting Mark. Visiting Mark during the week has the associated hassle of driving and parking downtown. Mark’s building doesn’t do validated parking, which I thought was a little odd. On the plus side, if you’re going downtown to see Mark then you might as well use it as an excuse to visit a cool watering hole, restaurant, or other point of interest while you’re there.
