Minc Talent

Our experience so far with Minc has been wonderful! Upon our initial meeting I got a really good vibe from Melissa. She’s very honest and she and her team have been working hard for us. The communication with Minc is great and I feel very lucky that we’re part of the Minc family. Remember, if you sign with them or anyone. You still have to do your part as an actor. Help them help you by staying current with training, networking etc. We are very happy with Minc and our adventure thus far.

We’ve had our daughters with Minc for a few years now and she has been extremely helpful in helping me learn about the industry. She is kind and were happy that Melissa represents us. =)

This is by far the BEST agency I’ve ever come across. I’ve auditioned consistently since being signed to MINC Talent. I’ve booked several commercials during my first year signed with them and I’ve built relationships with casting directors! Other agencies I’ve been signed to sent me out like once or twice a year and honestly didn’t really care about me. Minc really got me on the right track and changed my acting career. I recommend submitting to them. They will change your life.

I want to start off by saying I am grateful Melissa took a chance on representing my child. My child went to auditions maybe 1 – 2 times a month if that. I had to drop Minc. My child is with Paloma Model and talent now and he gets about 4 – 5 auditions in a week on average. Lately hes been getting 6 – 7 a week.

I am very lucky to have Minc represent me. Melissa is fantastic, and i have never seen better communication with an agency.

Melissa and Mariko at Minc Talent are the best! Ever since my child joined their agency they have done an excellent job of getting her auditions and helping us understand the process and the industry. They have great customer service and will promptly answer any questions you have via email or phone. We’ve booked a few commercials and have also gotten call backs for some TV and film gigs. Not bad for just starting out! I highly recommend them especially if you’re new to the business like we were.

My young daughter is represented by Minc. they are wonderful to deal with and have been so generous with their time when I ask them all kinds of crazy questions. They have been able to get my daughter a lot of auditions and opportunities and she is having fun.

Getting represented by MINC since early 2013 is an honor I do not take for granted. My children and I have been working with Melissa for over a year. I can honestly say it has been a wonderful, positive experience in every way. Melissa ALWAYS responds to my texts, emails, or calls very promptly. Because we were Newbies in the business when we began, I had tons of questions, and both Melissa and Mariko helped to guide us along the right path. I signed with Minc Talent some eight months or so ago. I was apprehensive to say the least about signing. I had been with a number of agencies prior to this and never felt completely at ease with any of the companies. Some were better than others, but for me, given that they had my financial future in their hands, I never felt that they were giving it their all. From my end, I worked hard and submitted for anything that remotely fitted my profile. So eventually, I did sign up to be represented by Minc Talent. From the get go, I never felt more at ease and ‘at home’ than I did with dealing with the company. Melissa, and then Mariko, backed by the team in Carlsbad, made me feel welcome. Hardly a couple of days go by without some action or word coming in from Head Office. I’m sure that most who sign with an agent, understand that the agent will get you some of your work, the meaningful stuff, the big bucks if you will. But it is the actress/​actor who must still get the day to day jobs. If the agent manages to get you to 10% of your auditions, it is the responsibility of the actor to get the other 90%. That’s the way it works. But understand the harder I work for me, the easier it becomes for the agent to place me at auditions — I have built up a track record for Melissa/​Mariko to capitalize on. I should add, that the company now has office space in the 90 028 zip area. To any who are serious about getting on in this business, talk to Melissa. She is very straightforward. I like that approach — I know it’s not for all. And just for the record, I am a senior citizen, I came to Hollywood late in life but I do know a little of what I speak.

My wife and I have met with over a dozen talent agencies and we felt so comfortable sitting with Melissa, owner of Minc Talent. In a pretty short meeting we felt like we could trust her and knew that she was very knowledgable about the industry. She presents herself professionally and with full honesty. I really appreciated all the advice she gave to us. We took her advice and did every one of them. HOLY MOLLY– Every single piece of advice she gave took our acting/​modeling career 3 or 4 new levels higher!!!
Anyone researching Minc Talent should know that this is a company that is awesome and out of all the agencies/​managers we’ve met with, Minc Talent is by far the best one out there!

Being so close to MINC agency in a live/​work environment not only has helped my company grow but has also expanded our network. The modern, bright venue they provide is a very cool setting for anyone seeking representation and they conduct themselves very professionally. Melissa kindly reaches out to inform us about talent gigs seeking certain looks or people. If you are in this industry as either a model, hair stylist, photographer or a parent of talent I strongly consider setting up something with MINC and pursuing what could be your next career. Everyone though should understand rejection and inconsistencies are involved with the modeling world and it all revolves around how your attitude is with that. For the past two months, i have had a professional relationship with this agency. Allow me to emphasize, RELATIONSHIP, because that is exactly what it is. During these past two months, since acquiring representation from MINC, i have felt their presence, immensely. I am in constant communication with them. and feel completely free to emall or call them with any issues or ideas, i have… which cannot always be said for other agencies.
Before finding this agency, i wanted to be apart of an agency that was smaller, that communicated well, was honest, and was willing to work for me, as hard as i am willing to work for them. I know i have found that, and will continue to find that, with MINC.

In a very short time, MINC has impressed me with not only their professionalism but their personal attention. I don’t feel like I have a faceless agency who gets me work so they can make money. I feel like I have a professional friend who works with me to help further my career. In the months that I have been with MINC, no more than 2 days have passed before I hear from them again. Whether it be an email about an audition, a text about a booking or a call to set up a meeting just to get to know each other better. It truly is an ongoing relationship and I look forward to every exchange.

This agency is the worst agency for your child, do not use them there are way better. They do not book jobs for you, require you to pay fee’s, Dont pay on time when you do get a job, are unprofessional, rude and ignorant. Will drop your child and rob him of any opportunities he could have had and you will start over. Aubri E. Almendariz especially she should step down and become a silent partner of this company. Moms and Dads Beware please spread the word and be very careful with your baby and child they are fragile and innocent and their ego can be hurt easily you dont need an agency that will not work for you take your money and then have the gall to throw you an attitude.

I have been a Commercial CD here in Los Angeles for over 28 yrs. I have done business with most all of the talent agencies… including MINC, and I know them to be an honest and well-​respected talent agency.
It has come to my attention that an irate parent after being asked to update his childs head-​shot, (which by the way is what agents ask their talent to do in order to represent their talent in an honest manner) has essentially defamed this agency with a review on Unilocal.
The only problem with Unilocal, is that there is no way to authenticate a review. Therefore when an angry parent decides to slander an agent, the agency is left with a less than favorable rating.
The review I am addressing is a poorly written set of lies. The sputtering result of an irate father who doesn’t understand how the business works… and has chosen to show his ignorance under the guise of an innocent victim.
All agents ask talent to update head shots.
All talent have to pay for those head shots and the cost of uploading to LAcasting.
Any agent would drop a client who became unreasonable at that request.
And when such a person is free to publicly attack an agency AND the agent… something must be done.
I suggest that all readers use their instincts when reading reviews… reviews written in anger, are often written by unreasonable and vindictive people. These are not the kinds of reviews one should give attention to…
