Mino is truly a diamond in the rough — his cuts are amazing, and he is a pleasure to be on the chair with… I highly recommend his work.

Say goodbye to overpriced haircuts by coming to Mino’s. $ 38 and one of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. Ps I had a hard time finding the salon as its located inside of a different salon called carmens beauty or something like that.

Mino is amazing. I am from Northern California, and just happened to be visiting my friend in LA when we decided to get haircuts. I had had a bad haircut previously, and Mino was able to repair everything seamlessly. I could not be more happy with the result. My hair feels so healthy and beautiful now! I am seriously planning to come back– despite the distance!

First and foremost, I truly can’t imagine having any sort of negative experience here. Mino and Avi are kind, respectful, and most importantly– know hair better than any place I have ever been to.
Today I got highlights at Mino’s and the process took such a short amount of time and I am absolutely, head over heels for my hair. It has never looked this good. You will not find a place anywhere in Los Angeles that is offering quality service like this for such a low price. I have never had highlights and they completely took care of me and were so patient answering questions I had. I have found my new hair salon! Thank you!

I went to Mino’s for the first time after stumbling upon it in my neighborhood.
Mino was fantastic — very knowledgable and genuinely cares about his clients. He kept asking me what I wanted during the whole process to ensure I was satisfied.
I’ve been highlighting my hair for 15 years and my friends all said it was the best it ever looked. I hadn’t gotten my hair highlighted in 5 months, so I needed my roots touched up and I also wanted to go blonder. He brightened my whole head but it was extremely natural — exactly what I wanted. I’ve gone to other salons where it’s turned orange or they completely damaged and bleached my hair, but that wasn’t the case with Mino. The price is also impossible to beat!
He also gave me a trim. I’m growing my hair out so just needed the dead ends cut off. My haircut turned out great!
Overall, it’s a no frills salon but the quality of the work is great. If you want free champagne or cupcakes, pay triple the price at some fancy BH salon. But if you just care about the final product, Mino does a fantastic job!

It took me 5 years to find a hair stylist that I can trust. I had very long hair, just about 15 inches long and curly. I waited so long to cut my hair to find somebody and I’m glad I waited and went to Mino. He is a very nice guy and very skillful. I will continue to go to his shop. I would definitely recommend this place.

Mino is my favorite LA secret!
His haircuts are amazing. He cuts the hair while its dry so you can see it transform before your eyes and give feedback in real time. His layers are beautiful and every time they grow out, they grow out so nicely.
His highlights are excellent too. His color he uses is really high quality stuff that all the celebrity stylists uses. He did a bayalage effect on me with blonde in my brown hair that turned out great. Seriously great guy and very available and convenient.

Just got my hair cut and blow dried by Mino as I was looking for an affordable salon in LA. He listened to everything I said and asked me to him with my hand how much I wanted to cut off to make sure he didn’t cut too much. He cut my hair dry flipped it over and cut off all my split ends underneath where my hair is most damaged. I have never had a haircut with such attention to detail. My blow out looks sleek and smooth. He is very friendly and knowing I was new to LA told me about several restaurants and sites around the area I should check out. I will definitely be coming back for regular hair cuts and will likely come in for color and keratin treatment. I had an amazing experience and I recommend everyone to come here!

Had a great experience, I called and got a same day appointment, got a great hair cut for a beyond reasonably price and am very happy with my bangs.

Pros: Mino seems like a nice person. The price is decent. He asks for feedback as he’s cutting so that there are no surprises.
Cons: He didn’t do my bangs correctly. I ended up going home and cutting it myself.
Would I go back?: No.

Mino did an amazing job on my hair! I was so scared because of previous bad experiences but he knew exactly what he was doing and assured me throughout the cut. Great stylist for thick hair like mine, thanks Mino!

I’ve been waiting to write my review to see how my hair would fare, and I gotta say — I think this is one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had.
His technique is a little unusual. Cut dry before wash, flip hair over, cut dry some more. Then wash & style. I was really unsure of what to expect. Nervous, actually.
It came out perfect. Perfect length, perfect layering and its held its shape for more than a month. It looks good with natural curls and flat ironed.
He’s also less expensive than where I used to go, which he referred to as a glorified super cuts and I’m honestly starting to agree with him. I will for sure be returning.

Recently moved from NYC and was in need of a hair cut badly. Look on Unilocal at salons close to me and Mino’s Salon came up. Great prices!!! He was able to get me in that day. Mino was very friendly and walked/​talked me through every step he took to get exactly what I wanted.
The hair cut maybe took 30 mins. Huge plus being from NYC and always go go go!

Had a great haircut with Mino! I bought an Amazon deal for a cut and conditioning treatment. My hair has been bleached/​dyed for a while so it really needed some TLC. He made my hair look so much more healthy and gave it a great shape. The Amazon price was an absolute steal and he has a Unilocal deal for a similar price, it’s hard to beat that.
The hours are great for us 9-​to-​5ers, they are open in the evenings.
They have a two-​car tandem parking spot in back if you’re lucky enough to get there first (there’s a sign marking it) otherwise the meters in the area are 1-​hour.
