Morrison Hotel Gallery® [MHG] is the world leader in fine art music photography representing 125 of the most highly acclaimed music photographers — those who have made an indelible mark on music culture with photographic portrayals of the world’s most influential artists.

MHG offers only the highest quality prints of your favorite images in music.

Working directly with the photographers, their family estates, and legendary music artists, MHG showcases thousands of images from these archives drawing from a vast and growing catalog of jazz, blues, and rock genres dating back to the 1940s and up to today’s contemporary artists. Hollywood and sports photography archives are also included.

History

Established in 2000.

Morrison Hotel Gallery was founded by former record company marketing executive Peter Blachley; music retail industry professional Richard Horowitz; legendary music photographer Henry Diltz, whose photos are the basis of hundreds of album covers including the Doors’ 1970 Morrison Hotel album cover and the gallery’s namesake; and world-​renowned author, director, photographer Timothy White, known for documenting the A-​list Hollywood celebrity A-​list.

Meet the Manager

Gerry B.

Manager

Gerry studied photography in New York and shot for major lifestyle magazines in the first part of her career. In the past decade she has archived, digitized and preserved numerous collections of photography and art. She managed legendary jazz photographer Herman Leonard when he moved to Los Angeles and worked on numerous worldwide exhibitions of his work until his passing in 2010. Gerry oversees our newest location at The W Hollywood Hotel. Gerry has a deep knowledge of music photography and is always looking to discover fresh or never before seen work.
