My Space Remodeling

Do not use MySpace Remodeling, they are an amateur outfit charging professional prices and delivering marginal work. They have no on site managerial presence and you will be handling the workmen alone. Myspace Remodeling will provide poor workmanship, poor interpersonal skills, high prices, poor communication then after correcting multitude of mistakes, an average result.
After getting several quotes we went with Myspace because all of the estimates were about the same and the salesman who gave the presentation, Alex V. whose title is Field Supervisor, seemed like he would be present and manage our project. He was neither in the field nor supervisory in any capacity. He gave a presentation and then the only time we saw him was to collect checks.
I was out of work for a short term injury so I was home to document the experience.
Project Description: Block wall fence with red brick cap and motorized metal gate built, gate was to have composite wood inserts.
Timeline:
Contract start date: November 11
Proposed finish date: December 11
Actual start date: November 21. No apology or description for starting 10 days late
Actual Finish Date: January 26
Difference between proposed finish date and actual finish date: 6 weeks longer than original contract.
Professionalism: Alex told me that he could get the project done quicker if I did not get it permitted and encouraged me to do without the inspections, I declined.
Safety issues:
Water: The workmen drove a bobcat shovel into my home water main pipe breaking it, I had to call Alex to get a plumber to fix it. The utility lines were not marked prior to demolition.
Gas: The workmen twisted the regulator 90 degrees to fit the wall and broke the pipe fitting at the base. When I questioned them they said it was fine and they «tested it» so I had nothing to worry about. I called SOCAL gas to inspect it and they found a leaking line and had to repair it.
Interpersonal relations: On the rare occasion he did show up Alex was confrontational with both my wife and I making us uncomfortable with his presence at our home. For a man who promised «you pay me and I will handle everything» when he fell way short of his promises and got called out he was combative and I had verbal arguments with him in my yard. Unacceptable and Unprofessional.
COST: Myspace Remodeling will sell you a project knowing that you do not have a full understanding of everything that goes on (how could you, you are not a professional contractor) then he will nickel and dime you for every little change he can. He was not present when my wife and I were designing the gate with the subcontractor and we suggested a curve on top. Alex claimed this added $ 300 to my bill, however when I spoke to the gate subcontractor he told me it was the same bid either way. Alex also tried to charge me over $ 200 extra to install the lock on the gate. There are many more examples of this but that gets tedious.
Accuracy of work:
1. I saw the workman lay out 2 posts in the wall for their first design, our contract stipulated clearly 4 posts, something I paid extra for.
2. I was quoted for and Paid for 107 feet of Concrete block wall Alex ordered and built 100′ of block wall.
3. I ordered composite fencing and it was supposed to be two sided. Alex ordered composite decking (floor) material it is one sided and now the inside of our gate looks unfinished.
4. We were told there would be a 3 inch gap between the gate and the ground (standard distance), on instillation day they installed it at over 7 inches because they did not plan for the rise in the driveway ahead of time.
5. The top rows of concrete block on the west end of my property did not have the excess grout cleaned off and it was left bulging out and unfinished
6. They installed an electrical outlet outside with no cover on it
7. They joined wires underground without using a junction box
8. They drilled and left open holes in my gate for water to get in, I had to specifically ask them to weld the holes shut.

Alex gave a great presentation, acted so professional then was impossible to get a hold of. Their staff had to comeback multiple times to fix work even though Alex told me it was well done the first time… he obviously didn’t look or didn’t care. Work was beautiful in the end but it took a lot to get there and this company did not make it easy. Would not hire again.

I see comments about Alex, which you should check to see if he is licensed, he was in charge of my kitchen bath, roof painting and back yard fence. He is not licensed, there fore he screws it up he doesnt have to worry about it. I had to SUE my space, I did win, less the 7,000 I should of received, holes in my roof from to long of nails, they did not hold up on the warranty, did not finish the job, Alex lied said sure we will be back to finish the back yard fence I paid $ 2500.00 to fix, they never came back. I was over charged for the roof, they stated i had this large of roof, I had another contractor come out they were off by $ 2200 I over paid them. The Owner Netto Valentino, lies with his workman’s comp, states he has no body working for his company, so that he doesn’t have to pay. «WARNING PEOPLE «if one of the workers get hurt on the job you are liable. Last time I looked about 10 days ago, he still did not have insurance. Check the license for Alex, he isnt allowed to write any bids, with out being licensed, also he will give you this crap how he is the brother in law of the owner, he is full of crap. I am not finished with sueing my space, and Alex is next. There is so much more, but I think you get my point, Beware.

We just bought our first home! And there’s no way we could keep up with all the restoration and cleaning and repairing. My old friends recommended My Space Remodeling for my needs. These guys did awesome job. They did kitchen and bathrooms remodeling and it was very quickly and nicely done. They finished their job in time and in the budget they promised. I wish them good luck and would hire them for my future projects as well.

Hi, my name is Lola and I’m standing in my new beautiful kitchen. In about month ago when I started this project I had no idea what transformation is going to be with the guidance of Neto and Alex of My Space Remodeling. I just gratified what transformation has been achieved. Now my kitchen is so beautiful, the colors, the granite, the back splash, the kitchen cabinets. Putting all this together I could not have done this with out guidance, skills, experience of Neto and Alex. It’s just unbelievable, I’m just LOVE my kitchen ! This is were I live ! This guys helped me easily went thru the whole process together with them guidance, patients and help of Neto, Alex and stuff even Robin at the office. They’re all very patient with me, all my questions, calling them every day. They always reassure me with the working progress. But seeing the finished product it’s just unbelievable beautiful. My experience with My Space was wonderful. The house turned out very well. Alex with his crew was always on time, when I called and needed him he was always were for us and right were. Guys did everything they have to do perfectly and house looks wonderful. We love it! And we will defiantly use My Space Remodeling again for any construction projects in the future. I’m so recommend this guys. They really make you dreams come thru!)

We hired My Space remodeling to do kitchen and bathroom remodel. Alex is a contractor who you defiantly can trust and his crew very knowledgeable, they really know that they do. Their main goal was to do the job well. They were extremely professional and completed job on time and with promised budget. Now we enjoying out newly remodeled kitchen and master bathroom.
They started on the master bathroom remodel. That included demo, extensive, tilework, painting, plumbing, framing, electrical and all the perfect finishing touches was done with so much care. They were so careful about all the mess making sure we could use our bedroom at nights. The tile work they did was outstanding. Now they on last stage to finish our kitchen remodel… its looks really amazing, functional and absolutely a pleasure to use. I’m defiantly recommend My Space Remodeling to everyone how looking for great experience with any construction projects!

My Space Remodeling has remodeled our kitchen and both our bathrooms. They did FANTASTIC job! Alex and his crew were great! We started with our kitchen remodel but were so happy with work that My Space Remodeling did we decided to have them do the bathrooms as well. Alex handled project management, the design, inspections, he submitted a plan to the city, got all permits in order and all the labor for all the projects! He even gave us a 3D design of what the finished project would look like and while we was waiting for approve from city I went shopping for tile and appliances together with Alex.
I am extremely happy with the kitchen remodeling project we did! All promises was delivered successfully!!! They finished on time and WITHOUT any hidden fees! It’s great to find a company out there that i can trust! So the kitchen remodeling are done and now we have a bigger dining room connected to the kitchen with beautiful contemporary looking kitchen cabinets and gorgeous counter top stone (everyone who’s enter to my kitchen now asking me where they can get it?)))))
And then… next step… my bathrooms !
I chose to have modern contemporary style in bathrooms as well)), so it can match my kitchen now). Alex (project manager) was a fantastic communicator and hunter of great fresh ideas and designs, he was always on top of things! There were a couple of minor unexpected things along the way, but nothing that could have been helped, and this was material issues (the tiles I chose came in different colors and in less quantity, but it just took another few days to finish the whole job).
I love my new kitchen, and bathrooms! Especially my master bathroom!!!(Bathroom looks like high end luxury hotel style bathroom), sometimes I want to sleep there insteadJ.

We hired My Space To remodel our kitchen and we couldn’t be happier about it. They are a very honest and professional company, made everything easier and took a lot of stress off our shoulders. We agreed on a price and deadline and they finished everything perfectly on time and within our budget. Not to mention how beautiful our kitchen looks now. The workers were always on time and working hard, we felt safe having them in our home. We will only call MySpace Remodeling for our future home projects. Give them a try, u wont regret it.

We were referred to Alex and his company by a prior customer who said this was a contractor he’d use again for future jobs. Alex gave us a bid to remodel our family room. We wanted new ceramic flooring, removal of wood paneling and ceiling wood beams and just an overall «re-​do» to lose that 70’s look. Because we had experienced problems with prior contractors, we requested a very concise bid and stressed that the quality and timeliness of the work had to be what we all agreed on. Alex’s crew showed up on time and made sure that only the part of the house that they were working on was sectioned off and covered. It was refreshing to see that a company made it a priority that our lives were not greatly disrupted because of this remodel. As the job progressed and we saw how nice our den was coming along, we decided to add some updates to the adjoining bathroom, and Alex was more than fair when adding this part to the original bid. I can only tell you that the finished product we got was above our expectations and that we did not experience delays along the way. We can now enjoy a beautiful family room and get tons of compliments from our guests. The only problem I see is that this perfect den way outshines the kitchen, so I know that will be the next project with My Space!

After finishing this small project we did, I have the will to remodel my kitchen!
I just couldn’t believe that my space remodeling can do such and nice work on my bathroom, we just love it!
We didn’t think to do it so soon however, my neighbor down the street recommended myspace remodeling after doing a good job on their kitchen.
Everything was on time, the design is amazing, and the price is decent we paid 7600 dollars for a full remodeled bathroom

When I met with Alex he gave the best presentation but after that it was the worst contractor I have ever worked with. Alex is the biggest liar I have ever met. They damaged my lawn and had to have it repaired. They used nails that were to long and came through and they tried to say it was for the old roof but the nails were new. They had to fix that also. The forgot to put the permit fee on the bill and the called everyday 10 times a day for $ 222.11 they don’t give you copies of you permits until you pay and I am still waiting for that. This is my rental property so I don’t live there but when they said they were going to be there they weren’t. Alex said he would give me status and that never happened. Everything was so stressful. I would never never recommend this company.

My parents decided to do some remodeling to our home the people we contracted basically took the money started the work and never came back to finish. So I looked around and found my space remodeling InC price was very reasonable and I am very happy with there work. And even more happier with the time it took them especially because the holidays were right around the corner and we always have family over. The owner was very understanding of our situation and reassured us everything was going to be ok. We have more work thAt we will be doing to the house after the holidays and we wont have to worry about anything becAuse my space will be taking care of it. Thank you My space remodeling
