Niky’s Nails Too

I thought I’d try it out since my friend is a regular and recommended it. I read some of the reviews before going in today, and thought comments about the owner may have been exaggerated. They were not. Halfway through my mani-​pedi, he went on a tirade to a woman asking if a friend could use the bathroom with her young son. He said: No, no public restroom. The mom and boy ended up using the bathroom, I think because she was going to have her eyebrows done, but it escalated into him berating the woman and yelling at her that he was going to throw her out. It went on for a few minutes (while the mom and boy were in the bathroom, the boy was crying most of the whole time) and they ended up hurrying out quickly when they were done. I can’t imagine being treated like that at any business that’s supposed to take care of customers. He was talking loudly and rudely for a few more minutes and I saw that he was working on someone. There is no way I would ever want him to work on me.
The service itself is not perfect, but perfectly fine (why I gave two stars instead of one) for the price. The manicurist cut a little too deep when trimming my cuticles and the polish is not flawless. I do feel sorry for the women who work there. They all seem very nice and hardworking.

I’ve only been here twice for a regular manicure. First experience was great and my nails looked great. Second experience, not great and my nails look horrible. Just got them done maybe 30 mins ago and debating about taking it off… They’re streaky, uneven, smudged and not even fully or smoothly painted in some spots… The woman was very nice, but I’m extremely disappointed and they look pretty bad…

At first I was very skeptical about this place. I didn’t like the customer service at first and when I asked questions it appeared they were irritated. The place isn’t the cleanest and parking is not that great. But my nails did come very nice. I will try again with the place

I love Niky’s nails! This is my local spot. They always have time for me. I’ve been paired with every manicurist there and they all do a great job.
I recently went elsewhere, near work and it was double in price… and my gels chipped 4 days later. That NEVER happens when I go to Niky’s.
They take appointments and there’s a parking lot. The owner’s are a very nice couple. Everyone there is very friendly.

I was in the area and had some time to kill before a meeting so I decided to get my nails done. It isn’t the cleanest place I have ever been to so I was a little worried to start. When I came in there was a customer getting a mani/​pedi and two others waiting. I walked in and waited a few min without any getting from the staff. Finally I asked what the wait would be for gel nails. I was instructed to sit down at the table.
A very nice lady came over to me to start removing my existing gel from my nails. She did not want to wait long because as soon as she put the foil on she went back to scrape the gel off. It was obviously not on long enough, and it was not ready. It didn’t stop her because she kept on scraping, I felt that my nails were having layers removed.
Secondly, was the polish itself. While they do have several different options for gel nails you don’t know what brand each set is (When they show you the fake nails on the ring). I picked out a pink color and you could tell that it was old and gloopy. Not to mention she was almost out of base coat AND top coat. She thought I wouldn’t notice but at this point I figured what was the use anyways. To my disappointment once I left and looked at my nails I noticed that there were specks of GLITTER on my nails. Now mind you, I didn’t pick out a glitter color. $ 23 for a gel manicure here. next time I would pass.

It’s great work sometimes and sometimes, it’s not. Inconsistent. The ladies keep talking to each other in Vietnamese (while rudely ignoring you) and you feel like you are somehow hopeless stuck in some period piece by Oliver Stone film. Cheap though, relatively speakin hence three stars.

I dropped in for a mani-​pedi and was seen right away. The prices are listed but once in the chair and started it turns out to be extra for calluses to be scrubbed, extra for leg massage, extra for buffing nails –no polish — all for the higher priced spa mani-​pedi. The women were nice, but the place needs ventilation… especially for the workers. Has LA learned nothing from NYC’s expose on poor working conditions in nail salons??? It’s an extravagance for me to get my nails done, so I usually am happy for basics well done, but in the end I only got one layer of polish and it is mess and I will be redoing it.

I love this place, they never disappoint me. They are polite clean and courteous. Close to come and great pricing. I highly recommend.

I didn’t get my nails here but I have to write this review because the guy sitting in the front is fucken rude. while in the area my sister wanted to get her nail color change because it had gotten ruin and we had just gotten our nails done an hour before and walked in there and my sister explain what had happened and the guy said we should go to the other place to get it fix or she should do it herself and idk what he was thinking but we needed the service and of course we were gonna pay for getting it fix. like really bad service and just cus of that guy I would never come here, what a shame

My manicure gel looks good, but my toes… Terrible job!!! Not coming back… Ladies are sweet, but not really careful with what they’re doing.

I’ve been coming here for 8 years now, and I’ve had, for the most part, good experiences– prices are reasonable and the work is good. But every so often I’d hear the owner, Niky, be quite rude to customers for no reason. First off, for everyone that walks in and tells him what they want done, he rudely says, «sit down», instead of saying something like «please have a seat and we’ll be right with you.» On several occasions, people would come in and ask how long the wait is and I’ve heard him snap at them. I would feel so bad for them… and this is exactly what happened to me, X10.
When I walked in, he asked what I wanted done and I told him a mani/​pedi and he told me to wait. Since I had somewhere to be at a certain time, a few minutes later I asked him how long the wait was. He then rudely replied, «I don’t know» and rolled his eyes, then replied «there’s two people ahead of you.» I thought wow, that was kinda impolite but I decided to let it slide cus I really needed my nails done. Then, to my astonishment, he said to the lady right in front of me, «Man, some people ask too many questions… they just don’t know how to wait.» I was literally standing right there beside him when he said that so I know he wanted me to hear him. He said it loud and clear. At this point, I was like ‘oh hell no,’ and I walked out. I will NEVER go back to this place again. I feel sorry for the workers. He probably treats them like sh** too.
I gave it two stars instead of one because the waxing lady does a magnificent job and is really sweet, and the other people have all been nice to me. But Niky is extremely crude and he is there almost all the time. If you want good customer service, this is NOT the place to go.

Here’s the thing, we came here last time and had a SEVEN star experience! So great! This time however it was less pleasant, they hurried us out and skimped on everything INCLUDING my favorite part, the massage. Almost no massage. At all.

Great location. Great price. Clean!!! I was able to get in on a Sat on a days notice! I will def. be back!

Prices are extremely reasonable here and autumn is my go to for pedicure and eyebrows. On top of a great job on those she gives you massages that do not feel rushed and she genuinely wants you to feel pleased and relaxed.

The only nail salon I let touch my nails. Not only is it impossible to beat the price (that doesn’t compromise the quality btw) but the customer service is top notch! I’ve been going to Nikys for over ten years (ten years is a long time!) and every time I leave 100% satisfied. They’re consistency and affordable price make driving out of my way completely WORTH IT!

Nicky’s is the bomb! I love this place. Everyone is so nice and they do an awesome job. I called late Friday and asked if he could see me Saturday early morning. This was Mother’s Day weekend and I knew it would be busy. Niky the owner said be here at 9 I’ll set it up. To my surprise when I got there Niky and Autumn his wife was waiting for us. He hooked me up for my Mother’s Day and I appreciate it so much. This place is the best!

Went to Nikkys because it’s close to home! Glad I went not only did I not have to wait but the girl that did my gel mani and pedi did an amazing job! Clean, Efficient, and Affordable!

I’ve been looking for a place to do my nails and I found my permanent spot! I forgot to ask the nail technician his name but he was so sweet and so was his wife!

I came here as a walk in.
It was the best pedicure experience I’ve had honestly! I was so impressed. Michelle was very sweet and did a great job on decorating my toenail design and even a little extra massage. She took great care of trimming my toes and making me feel like a girl again. My feet are happy and I’m smiling all over. I felt very comfortable here. Very welcoming atmosphere.
