Total scam. Stay away! I read these reviews too late. I cancelled my booking 2 weeks early and demanded a refund. 1 month later I have not received a refund, but they did charge me an additional $ 475 «subscription fee». Trying to work it out with my credit card company. Avoid at all costs!

The major issue was the amount of communication needed to make this rental possible. They list on several websites VRBO and Homeaway, but none of them have the correct info or details. I only needed one night and I found a listing of theirs that said they accept one night rentals, but their reply said I need to stay at least 3 nights. I was pissed because I was looking for hours. The rental was about $ 420 a night and they allowed us to stay there for a night because of the miscommunication. I received no less than 8 phone calls, 10 – 12 e-​mails which I had to respond to or return phone messages, had to set up an account on their website and upon arrival had to sign MORE paperwork even though I did the mobile check in.
I arrived to the drop box to get the keys and the key and information was not there!!! I immediately called the host frustrated and she said she was on her way to drop off the keys to the box, because I told her I would be there at 6pm. I arrived at about 4pm as our plans changed and we were on that side of LA. Had I known she was going to wait until 5:59pm to put the keys in the box I would have showed up then! On top of that she gave me MORE paperwork to read in order to gain access to the property and two more pamphlets of more rules to follow. All of this should have been sent to me via e-​mail or text as the access code was wrong and we found out check out time was 1000.
No one in that office knew what was going on! if you arrive on the weekend when no one is there they make you sign and send additional copies of your credit card and ID through another site they use and also make you write on a piece of paper to email in that: «I authorize charges…», but then someone actually was there on the weekends. Mind you ALL of this paperwork, phone calls and emails took place in the space of 13 days all the way up to the day before my arrival. If I didn’t send in the physical copy of ID and credit card they wouldnt release the lock box info, which is weird as I had already paid the deposit and daily rate and also had already signed all paperwork online.
If you get a listing through them you may believe its simple until it becomes one thing after another. They kept making more work for me to complete almost on a daily basis and they waited until the last minute to tell me! It was just too much. What should be a simple ‘sign, pay and release lockbox and access code information’ took probably 10x more time and energy than booking something similar on AirBnB. With AirBnB you pick a place, host approves, you pay and you get access information. Its that simple.
I wouldn’t book with them again.

Horrible! I was looking for a place to stay while visiting L.A. and was advised to go through OMG Travel. Everything is done through email. You can never get a hold of anybody. I was never told of any «membership fee». Now 2 months later I have received a fee for $ 475. I emailed to find out what the charge was for and was told that the «coupon code» used enrolled me into a club with a yearly fee. Like I said, everything was done through email. OMG set up the reservation (NOT ME!!). Now I am in dispute trying to get my money back. DO NOT BOOK OR DEAL WITH OMG TRAVEL! IT’S A SCAM!!! We originally went through

This agency deserves ZERO stars for being deceitful and stealing people’s money. I learned through my horrible experience with them that they are in fact based out of Europe and have an «office» in LA– they will only communicate with you through email.
Booking with OMG Travel will leave you saying, «OMG– how did I just get scammed?!» And if you think just because they are listed on VRBO that it’s safe to use them– think again!
After booking a reservation and not receiving a confirmation, I became very suspicious. I quickly found hundreds of complaints and unsettling reviews online from literally hundreds of people (just like me) who were scammed and by these frauds. I am disputing the charges on my Visa and now have to have my account «block the merchant» so they don’t apply a surprise «$ 495 membership fee» transaction to my credit card.
Do yourself a favor and AVOID this company. I don’t know how they have gotten away with scamming everyone for this long and taking money for nothing. Their cancellation policy is NOT on their listing on VRBO. It is NOT even in small print where you enter your credit card information. It isn’t even on the BOTTOM of any of their EMAIL correspondence. It’s trickery.
Their policy (good luck finding it, detective) is that IF YOU CANCEL, ANYTIME, no matter what-​they keep 50% OF YOUR MONEY. PERIOD. I cancelled 15 mins after booking after reading the horrible reviews and realized this could ruin our entire vacation and quickly bailed.
Unfortunately, according to «Chilly» in Budapest, their ccancellation representative– it is too late. They get to keep 50% of my money for absolutely nothing. If this isn’t theft, I don’t know what is…

UPDATE: THESE LEACHES HAVE NOW CHARGED HER OVER $ 1,000 FOR 2 NIGHTS THAT WERE CANCELLED OVER A MONTH AGO.

OMG is a scam. Tricked my mother in law into paying through their own site so they could steal half her «deposit», listed in terms she never received. Buyer beware, but if VRBO wants a good reputation they should cut ties with this company and ban them from their site. After all, my fiancée found this property on VRBO and OMG circumvented giving VRBO a cut by privately emailing the interested party and having them provide card info and booking through their own site.
SCAM.
Received an email from VRBO parent company HomeAway warning of possible SECURITY ISSUES with the property. Called & emailed OMG and get this reply:
«Thank you for your reply.
How should we know about an e-​mail that was sent by a different company. I asked you to send it to us so we can check what happened.
We have talked to Homeaway yesterday and they told that everything was fine with our Homeaway account.
We can assure you that everything is OK by our side.
Please note that per our cancellation policy you would get back 50% of the booking fee.
I already requested our LA office to call you. I’m sorry if it did not happen by now.

Called the number and went to an office NOT in LA. The woman just kept saying «Everything is OK.» Oh great! Thanks for clearing that up! As long as you say so, we won’t worry about rape or identity theft!

If there was an option for ZERO STARS that is what I would choose. OMG travel are fraudulent, unresponsive to complaints and generally should be avoided like the plague!
In June 2015 we rented a short term apartment in Los Angeles. When we arrived to the unit, the designated secure parking that we paid an additional fee for was not in existence, but more importantly, there was ZERO electricity to the unit! We obviously could not stay at a unit with no power. We tried calling the manager, the emergency line and sent an email. With no response for over 12 hours. Finally got a call from an employee who said they were working to get power restored to the unit. After more than 8 phone calls, by 8pm the night of what should have been our second night at the unit, they still had no electricity in the unit. They did not offer a different comparable unit. Additionally, they refused to refund our fees, instead offering a $ 25 credit for our trouble. We filed a complaint with the BBB, to which they never responded. We also filed a dispute of charges with our bank and had charges reversed. Then 60 days later, they fraudulently charged our card AGAIN.
Do NOT book through OMG Travel. It is a nightmare waiting to happen and you will lose your money!!!

0 stars! This company is a SCAM. All of the reviews are true. Avoid this company like the plague. Do not trust them in any way. They will steal your money and defraud you.
I paid to rent an apartment at The Palazzo through OMG Travel on 2÷5÷2015. The arrival date was set for 2÷6÷2015 for a 2 day rental. I paid through the OMG Travel website for a reservation total of $ 621.53. The reservation included a charge of $ 49.00 for early check in. Taxes and fees were $ 79.45. I arrived on 2÷6÷2015 shortly before 12 pm with a witness who experienced the same rude behavior from the employee that I experienced. The employee stated that the keys were not ready and that they wanted an additional cash deposit. I left to get cash and returned by 2 pm as it was a Friday and there was a great deal of traffic to drive from Beverly Hills to Calabasas. I called the representative I had made the reservation with named Olga as well as emailing her several times regarding the abhorrent behavior of the employee and his extreme rudeness and lack of professionalism. She apologized in email, voice mail and phone. The employee sent an email cancelling my reservation after several phone calls were made, all which went to his cell phone. He stated he already left for the day despite the fact that it was not even 2 pm yet. Olga asked for an additional $ 500 cash to total $ 620 cash requested from me in addition to the $ 621.53. I stated this was ridiculous to ask me for cash when the reservation was already paid for and I did not trust my cash would be returned when the employee had already committed such violations of business and professional codes already. I received an email from the rude employee which stated he had cancelled my reservation for «no-​show.» The email stated that the reservation would not be refunded as their policy is to keep the taxes and fees if someone does not show. The problem is that the taxes and fees were said to be refunded for the $ 79.45 but they were not and the entire amount was stolen by the company for the entire reservation. No amount was ever returned to me. This company has a long stream of complaints regarding other fraud and business violations it has committed. I am not the person to be a victim of their deceptive practices. This company obviously intended to defraud me from the inception as when I arrived by 12 pm the keys were supposedly not ready and when I returened with the cash the employees requested by 2 pm, the employee had already left for the weekend and sent an email lying saying I had not shown, despite the fact that I had returned for the second time that day and I had 2 witnesses with me who can verify all of this transpired. This company should lose any license they have and be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for their deceptive practices and the fraud they have committed.

This company is very worrisome and buyer beware. I live in a complex where they seem to be offering a listing for a short term (minimum 60 days). Well, our complex does not allow rentals of less than one year so anyone who tries to rent a unit at CENTURY PARK EAST CONDOMINIUMS will be out of luck as you will not be able to for a short term stay. I also worry that this condo may not really be available for rent. Tried calling the company and you get a machine. They want you to book and pay online or by wire sight unseen. Do NOT ever do this. Why is there no unit number listed?

This is a SCAM! Recently we talked to this people to rent a Vacation House in LA. They asked us for a security deposit and then we request to see the house (they never let us see the house). Then, the next day they wanted an ewire transfer. We couldnt transfer so we called and emailed them next morning suggesting a different method of payment. They insisted that an ewire was the only way. My bf got suspicious and call their office in LA, it turns out that they claim they didnt know the person we were talking to and didnt wanted to help us or even give his name… The guy that pick up the phone said he was the only person in the LA Office (weird) and we were not able to schedule a time to go to the office and make the payment. We called and emailed Gisele (the person we talked to and who supose to make our reservation) and she never got back to us or pick up the phone. At the end I open a fraud claim at the bank and issue a new credit card to be safe! Please make yourself a favor and don’t use this company!

Zero stars. Called them multiple times and sent multiple emails only to receive no response. I will not book with them. I believe everyone’s experiences are self explanatory.

Worst experience i ever had, i book luxury apartment and they gave me different one, i refused to stay in that apartment and i returned the keys to the office they said refund money will take few days and after two weeks and many email they said we can’t refund your money!
After 2 month i notice a unauthorized purchase payment using my credit card 3 times. I send many email to get my money back but every times they said something unpredictable!

OMG contacted me early Sept. 14 saying that they would like to compensate me because they started to focus on better services, including customer service.
They finally gave me a refund of 25%…and asked me «to delete or change my review on Unilocal».
I replied that I would do it for much more than 25% (yep) but apparently I misunderstood what they really meant… so they meant: «I just asked you to add a note to your review telling that you have been compensated»
Because I said in my previous review that I would update it if they contacted me, I am writing this update. I have received a refund of 25%.

Big disappointment overall in quality of apartment and services provided. Will never book with
again. I had to go to the office and ask for pillows and internet modem, which we have paid for. And even after that I didn’t get neither. The price was too big for the value we got. Appartment was dirty and had cockroaches in it.
instead of 3 double beds and 1 sofa, we got 2 beds and 2 uncomfortable couches. There wasn’t enought bed linings nor towels. There was no internet even though we’ve paid for it. We paid additionally for parking, even though it was available for all the guests on the comlex area. We didn’t get a hair drier even though it was listed in appartment amenities. even after I made many calls and paid a visit to OMG office, we still didn’t get enought bed sheets, neither internet. There also weren’t enough pillows in the appartment.
On other hand, giving such a bad services, OMG as a million of rules and fines for every behavior of the client. Check out 1 minute late — fine, call wrong number — fine and so on. And the worst — there were COCKROACHES in the apartment.
Will never book with them again!

After thinking about it, I felt I had to WARN others about OMG Travel! I removed my original Unilocal review because I was asked to by OMG if I wanted my refund back and so I did… but I could not feel good about myself if someone else is in the same position as I and my Unilocal review could have helped them so here it is…
I’ll try to save my personal feelings and stick with the FACTS:
1. Reservation was made 6 months in advance for the «early bird» special, paid half then and then the remainder half 1 month prior per there agreements you must make a payment immediately with the «early bird rate» to reserve and the remainder at least 1 month prior.
2. 3 (THREE) days before check in I received email due to maintenance issue the apartment is unavbl they have cancelled my reservation and «will of course refund me 100% back». (I reserved 6 months in advance)
3. I received half of my money back about a week later.
4. The verbiage from of course we will refund you back as it was no fault of your own began to change to we can not issue a refund past 30 days from when the payment was first made. (you add that up– «Early bird special»)
5. I filed a formal complaint through a non profit agency for fraudulent services and through my personal bank.
6. Took about 2 months– FINALLY received my $$ back!
I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN– I WENT THROUGH BNB last minute found something great! Consider the reservation as if you were buying an «As Is» Car… proceed at your own risk. Hope this helped!

It is the worst experience you would imagine, they have no since at all of customer service. They just will take your money and let you suffer. The company is not located in USA and has no base. So if you face any problem or anything you are screwed nobody will help even the office in LA. The office in LA will just give you the key and then leave suffer again. Not to mention they are rude and unprofessional at all.

Can I give less than one star? The worst ever. The other posters are correct; stay away. I rented a place with my family a few months ago in LA and experienced the worst customer service ever; a very creepy rental office; no replies to our requests; a very «mediocre» apartment; stains on carpet; one of the TVs in our unit never worked; very limited bath offerings (no bathmat; one very thin towel per person — for a week). Our unit was two bathrooms, but one shower did not work well. The best part of the apartment was the location… but otherwise, it was not luxury at all — and not a company I ever want to deal with again. I’m still fighting extra mystery charges on my credit card, too. Stay away!!!

Worst rental ever! They NEVER respond if you have issues and we had TONS of issues. Are also being charged$ 150 extra for late checkout even though we left EARLY! There was dirty underwear in couch, sticky stuff ALL OVER cabinets and fruit flies everywhere. O and we didnt have water one day! After sending emails, voicemails and phone calls we have heard from no one. Awful service. They will say there is new management… but dont be fooled. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! We have sent tons of emails and calls and STILL cant get any of them to respond.
Edit: They recently charged credit card 50 dollars for no reason. Over 6 months after we stayed there.

— Love to request new linens for all the wrong reasons.
— Don’t mind that the pictures you saw on the website are probably just randomly pulled from the internet.
— Enjoy rates that change while you stay.
— Feel comfortable with the aroma of a rotten, backed up sink «hidden» under a moldy plastic cover.
— Don’t mind running out to get toilet paper yourself.
— Don’t mind being asked repeatedly to pay cash by different «employees» calling your phone.
— Have no issues with being asked for photos of your credit cards, license, other VERY PERSONAL info… Seems legit. (Wait, didn’t we just pay cash?)
— Have a soft spot in your heart for a company that uses said information to continue to ATTEMPT to charge random fees months later.
In short, if you liked the nigerian bank scams, you’ll love these guys.
Of course, with a name as classy as OMG travel, did we expect anything less?
