Process was long, but worth it! Thank you to everyone at O’Connor & Mikhov! They helped me get my VW lemon purchased back and I received a settlement that allowed me to purchase a mid-​size SUV. Perfect timing for my 8 month old :) Thanks!

I had bought a 2011 Camaro in 2012 that only had 1000 miles on it and was being sold by a certified Chevrolet dealership. The dealership showed me everything along with a carfax and supposedly it had a clean title. A few weeks after I bought it, it overheated on me and the dealership kept it for 3 weeks saying that the part hadn’t come in yet. I got it back but I had to take it to the dealership 2 more times and they downplayed it. I contacted O’Connor & Mikhov just to inquire about my situation since I was very unhappy with the car. At this point the GM’s corporate offices started contacting me as well. When I spoke to the offices of O’Connor & Mikhov, they told me to talk to GM and see if they would offer a buyback of my vehicle. They said if GM said no, they would take my case on. Needless to say, GM said no to my buyback offer and the offices of O’Connor & Mikhov took me on. They were very professional and gave me updates on my case. GM ended buying the car back, giving me every single dollar I had paid for it and more, and I didn’t pay any attorney fees. I could not be happier with my result and would HIGHLY recommend anybody with any similar issues to contact the offices of O’Connor & Mikhov. Thank you again for all your help.

I have to say that after reading the comments, I feel like I’m just repeating what everyone else has said. I had been dealing with my 2008 Acadia from the moment we bought it. It was purchased new off the floor and within a year we had taking it back for a new transmission, new engine and a host of repairs and recalls. I like everyone else took up my issues with the dealer and fought a long extremely frustrating fight to end up being told there’s was nothing they would do. I was angry and defeated. I felt I did all i was suppose to: tune ups, dealer services only etc. I had to drive around in a car I didn’t feel safe in moreover, one that we had paid off. I felt hopeless until one day I got the general letter in the mail. I said «what the hell» they an only say no one more time. I was very skeptical because what was being asked of me seemed way to easy. But through out the entire process first contact Charles and then the great customer care Stephanie gave I felt like I had been saved! Thank you for what you do! There are’nt many standing up for the average person anymore! You’re my HERO!

I purchased a GMC Acadia in late 2008 (2009 model year) and had nothing but problems from the get go. When I contacted O’Connor and Mikhov (Michael Musa), I was a skeptic. I was told by a local San Diego attorney that there wasn’t enough data/​repairs; he declined my case. When Michael said O&M were interested, I hoped I would be able to get the blue book value without the hassles of selling the car. To my pleasant surprise, GM agreed to a buy back. I got nearly the full value I paid for the vehicle (minus $ 1500). By the time I surrendered my car, it had almost 98,000 miles on it. I was able to turn around and buy a NEW Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited in August of this year. Everyone at O&M was professional and helpful. Even after the check cleared, Stephanie Martinez helped me transfer title with the DMV. I highly recommend O&C.

Bought a brand new suv in 2010 — literally 15k miles later we had to take it for service. That was the first of many services. We are so lucky we bought the extended warranty when we bought the vehicle because the transmission had to be rebuilt, we had to replace the fuel pump twice, rear camera, water pump, some stuff in the engine kept breaking — it was nuts. And I was sick of dealing with it.
I called the attorneys and explained what was going on. I really wasn’t expecting much. I figured I’d be lucky if they represented us. I was thrilled when they did and was shocked how quickly everything happened. Usually legal stuff takes years. I think it was less than a year for our case to settle. Amazing!
Not only did they represent us but they managed to get the manufacturer to buy our vehicle back and a bit more. I wanted to cry when we got that call. I was so relieved, I couldn’t wait to be rid of the vehicle.

About a year and a half ago, I received a mailing from the company about the CA lemon law and decided to respond. What the heck, I didn’t have anything to lose, and I thought at the very least, maybe I could recoup some of the costs that I put into fixing my vehicle over the years. I felt that the amount of repairs to the vehicle was extremely high, considering I purchased new.
Problems included: steering column replacement, numerous radio replacements, upholstery replacement, 4 to 5 recalls… the list goes on and on, including repairs to a catalytic converter, rack and pinion and a/​c.
I spoke with David in April of 2014 and signed a representation agreement. The only thing that I had to do was to send the mound of service receipts that I accumulated over the years to their office. From that point on, they did all the work and kept me updated on the status of my case.
Long story short, GM agreed to purchase my vehicle back. They paid off of my loan and sent me a check for the balance. I cannot be more thrilled with the results. I highly recommend O’Connor and Mikhov!

Horrible client services. They said they would accept my lemon law case if I were to take my car in one more time for the issue. Then sent me a contract to take my case and said wait 2 to 3 months for an update, over a month later recieved a call stating after further discussing the partners will not be taking the case. So I complied with your car service request and even contacted the dealer directly at your request only to make me wait over a month believing you guys were working on my case to get a call back saying your terminating my case? That’s not how you should be treating your clients, have the courtesy to look into a potential clients case in detail from the start before making false promises that last over a month. Don’t use their services.

I purchased a new Nissan Sentra in September of 2013. The car seemed great I had no complaints up until about 3 months after my purchase. They were little problems at first. Radio, navigation system, then transmission. I was constantly taking my car into Nissan to have my problems fixed, which they never were. I was starting to get worried because I was dealing with «used car» problems while paying for a new car. So I decided to give Nissan Headquarters a call. I expressed my concerns about my car and they told me they’d get back to me to see what could be done. They called me back about 3 weeks later offering me free oil changes and tire rotations for 3 years … Really ?!
At this point I just wanted to get rid of the car, the problems continued and I just felt lost not knowing what to do.
I never knew about the lemon law until an Aunt of mine recommended I give O’Connor and Mikhov a call. This was around August of 2014.
From my first call with Alfredo I felt like I was finally getting some real help.
I had doubt about having a solid case but Alfredo assured me I did. This made me extremely happy !!
All I ever had to do was sign and email paper work and of course the hardest of all sit back and wait.

Although there were many attorneys on the case, I am speaking specifically to both of you because Michael was the person I had the most contact with from the outset and Seth was the person I had the most contact with for the duration of the case.
There are absolutely no words that can say how grateful I am to you and the law firm for all of your hard work and diligence. When I went to surrender the vehicle, the sales manager at the dealership even gave a compliment saying that it was a great firm. He asked how did I find you guys and I responded that you guys found me. I still have the original letter that I received in the mail. The letter could not have come at a better time because I knew in my heart for a while that the car I had was a lemon and I really wanted to do something about it but did not know what recourse to take and probably just would have continued paying for the car and any repairs that were needed. I googled and read reviews, trying to find out was the company legitimate, etc. (just because there are so many scams out there). After doing the research I decided to make the call and I spoke to Michael. He explained the entire process to me, what the law firm was about, what I needed to get things going, etc., and really eased all the fears that I had.

These guys are AWESOME!!! My husband and I are VERY happy CAMPERs!
I bought a brand new 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan in Oct 2007 and within 6 months began my trips to the service department. Over the numerous trips, during the 6 long years I got to know everyone from the mechanic to the general manager at the Dodge dealer. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. The van didn’t feel safe to drive, I was always hesitant to take trips or even drive around with our boys in the car. I got to the point where I was clenching the steering wheel because I never knew what might go next! Our next solution was to trade this in and buy another car… but we knew we couldn’t afford payments as we were in debt for all the repairs we had made to this thing.
I began researching lemon law and a few attorneys. We called and interviewed a few who were costly and not very promising. Mind you, with a vehicle that was 6 years old and reaching 90K miles, my hopes were already low.
We then reached out to Charles Reth at O’Connor & Mikhov and he wanted to see my 6″ think file of receipts and notes I was diligently taking throughout the years. He said he would take the case, of course, the money was my biggest concern… he said he didn’t get paid unless I got paid! Really??? Could this be for real??? I couldn’t believe it… I had nothing to loose and something to possibly gain.
After 6 months of litigation with Chrysler, I received a call from Seth, who I had been working closely with during the 6 months… All I heard was ‘YOU WON THE CASE, Chrysler agreed to FULL BUY BACK!” I think I dropped the phone and fell off my chair. 3 short weeks later, we surrendered the vehicle to Dodge (and NO I didn’t drive it through the show room window, as much as I wanted to…) and I received a big fat check… Needless to say, I’m now driving a brand new car… NOPE NOT A CHRYSLER! I can’t begin to explain the sense of overwhelming relief as I get into my new, reliable, very trusty vehicle to drive our boys to school in the morning. I feel like a true burden has been lifted and I now have peace of mind while on the road. This team worked very hard and walked along side me and kept me informed throughout the months… I can’t say enough how AMAZING they are!

It’s amazing what they do. If you’re car happens to be a lemon or has fundamental problems while its still covered under its initial warranty, it’s subject to the lemon law which I wasn’t aware of until O’Connor & Mikhov approached me. They were sincere and informative in guiding me through this process which resulted in a check in the mail with almost a full refund of my Chevy Tahoe.
They did all the hard work, while I just provided the necessary documents for them to work with. The other cool part is, it doesn’t cost you a thing, and they explain how they benefit on their side by helping you. The only thing to be aware of is that, it’s not a quick process but it’s worth it.

Just received my check from GM hassle free. Made a simple phone call sent some basic information and they did the rest. It takes time but keep in mind they have many other people they’re helping out. I’m so grateful I received the letter from them before this I didn’t even know what a «lemon» was. They’re very professional and I’m glad Seth M. was always there to guide me and answer any questions since I was new to this and it’s hard to trust anyone especially without meeting them in person but they’re very trustworthy and amazing at what they do.
