One Item Move

This is the only mover we’ve ever used (and we’ve used quiet a few unfortunately), that does small moves that take under 6 hours. We first used them to hoist our behemoth of a sofa into our second story TV room because it wouldn’t fit any other way. The saved our necks because otherwise we here probably going to have to give it away. We have since used them for small 2 hour moves, to move other large unwieldy pieces. They even hang flat screen tv’s or art work that has to be hung form high place. They are super nice. extremely professional and have never even as much as made a scratch on a wall or piece of furniture. They are awesome. Most companies claim «no move to small». One item means it! You’ll never use another mover…

It’s all in the title guys! If you’re looking for a few items to be delivered & installed they get it done! I couldn’t be anymore satisfied with the service. They were very professional with the move & patient with my nosey self when installing my living room entertaining set. I had to pick up a credenza, two coaches& with a few boxes from Woodland hills to Downtown on a weekday, I had no time myself & being a 5ft girl obviously I needed help… Im just glad I found them when I did. Thank you guys!!!

Everything about this company is 5 star. From my initial conversations on the phone with Asi, to the delivery of my statue by Ricardo, Jose and Joel, it was amazing service and professionalism. Courteous, respectful, careful and kind. I felt like they were friends helping me out, and happy to do it — just really skilled friends!
The statue weighs about 300 lbs, and was about 3’x4’; it was carefully wrapped in furniture pads before they loaded it into their pickup-​truck. Because their rates are hourly, Asi worked with me to schedule a time with the least possible traffic from Whittier to Venice. Ricardo and his team were right on time, and worked very efficiently. The hourly cost (prorated after the first hour) was very reasonable, too. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Such a great experience! They were on time. It was quick and they were thorough and gentle with my stuff. The owner is just the best. Really smart and fair pricing. Will definitely be using in the future and be recommending to people need heavy lifting or tv’s installed!

These guys did a great job. I hired them to pick up a very heavy sofa bought on craigslist and deliver it to me. They wrapped it carefully and made it from the seller’s to my house in very good time. It hadn’t occurred to me to that the sofa might not fit through my front door, and it turned out to be extremely tight. Most movers would have given up, but these gentlemen eventually found an angle and got the couch through, undamaged. They kindly stayed without complaint to help me move some additional large furniture pieces in the house as well. One Item Move came on only one day’s notice after the first movers hired flaked out on the delivery for over two weeks. One Item Move were prompt and called to update us on arrival time when they said they would. They were polite, efficient, well-​priced, thoughtful (swept area I was putting the couch in again, took doors on and off without leaving a mess) and took excellent care of my items. Will definitely hire them next time for whatever kind of move needed.

Great company!
I only needed a chair that I recently purchased from Craigslist brought to my house… not a big job, but too big for me, but still not worth paying other moving companies hundreds of dollars for. I did a little searching and found One Item Move on Unilocal and they were perfect! No minimum fee. They just charged me for the time that it took to move the item.
The movers were very helpful and friendly and Desi, the woman who sets everything up, was so nice! The movers themselves accidentally overcharged me, but Desi called after the move to make sure everything went as planned, and when I mentioned the price, she IMMEDIATELY took care of it.

These guys are so professional, efficient and kind! They moved me from a storage unit to an upstairs room in an apartment and got the whole job done in an hour and a half. They were very careful with all my belongings. I will definitely use them again! Thank you!

From beginning to end the service has been great! I got quoted at a great price, the woman who set up my appointment (Dafi) was so helpful and worked us in for the same week. I was scheduled for 12:00 — 12:30 and they came earlier! The movers were really nice, quick, efficient and careful with the item we were moving. They packed it nicely and correctly so no damage was done. I will use them again and refer them to anyone that needs a mover. You don’t get any better than that.

These guys are great, especially for smaller moving jobs! My last move was an absolute nightmare, so when we had to move from DTLA to Long Beach, I knew I had to get professionals this time around. We only had a few large items that we wanted moved and every other moving company had a 3 hour minimum, plus drive time. Yikes! I was referred to OIM and I called a few days in advance. I left a message and Dasi got back to me the next day. She was very helpful and thorough in explaining everything: one hour minimum, $ 95/​hr (prorated after 1^st hr) and no double drive time. Perfect! We scheduled it for Sunday at 10:30 and they were early, plus gave me a heads up when they were close by. Two movers showed up, Ricardo & Eli, and they wasted no time getting started. They took a look at what we needed to move (king bed & frame, couch, dresser) and quickly started taking apart the bed frame and wrapping the furniture with blankets and plastic wrap. They ended up finishing everything in 2.5 hours (including drive time) and I couldn’t be happier! They were fast, professional and friendly. I would definitely use them again! Great experience! Moved to LA from Chicago and One Item Move helped me move a few of my larger items from storage to my new pad. Extremely polite, knowledgable, and professional. Top notch service from beginning to end. Would definitely recommend One Item Move to anyone looking for a friendly moving service!

Unbelievable and still can’t believe what this guy’s moved all in one trip! I moved from a single apartment in Sharman Oaks to Culver City. I had somewhere between 10 to 15 items and they fitted all in one trip! They were quick and professional. Would recommend this moving company to anyone, cheaper than other moving companies that charge thousands for a move!

I cannot say enough good things about these guys! They were on time, very polite and professional. I was so happy to find a service that could move my sofa from camarillo to downtown Los Angeles and for half the price of everyone else. They packed my sofa so professionally so nothing got damaged, and despite a few mishaps they were still nice and in a good mood about it! They carried it up 8 flights in a hot tight staircase no complaints… good job boys! I would recommend this service to anyone it’s moving right needs anything moved in the future. Overall hundred percent five star great service worth it.

I have had multiple EXCELLENT experiences with One Item Move from one hour jobs to extensive multiple day jobs. They are very, very reliable and will show up on time or even early. Everyone in the company who I have dealt with is professional, friendly, flexible and helpful beginning with Asi on the phone.
Nothing seems to ruffle them and they go out of their way to help even when things don’t go as planned (no fault of theirs). During a large job, my storage unit closed before we could unload my items. It was after hours and Charles and Romi were calm and called Asi to solve my dilemma. They brought the items to their office (which is not a warehouse for the purposes of storing items) and kept it there until we could reschedule the delivery. They did not charge me for storing my items. I consider this outstanding service. It is one thing when things go as planned, but when I can rely on a company to help me out of pinch, which had nothing to do with them, it doesn’t get any better than that.
I highly recommend One Item Move and will use them again in the future.

Rami and Ricardo made moving a monster of a couch look like moving a cloud. They were on time, careful and helped me out tremendously. When I first got there I thought, «absolutely no way this is going to be trasported and set up in one hour» am in exactly 58 minutes, they were done. Life savers. Will be using them again.

If I could give a 0 star, I would. This company is A COMPLETE SCAM! They show up with a tiny little truck and took over 7 hours just to fill it for a one bedroom.
They also STOLE and LOST multiple clothing items and shoes (worth over $ 5,000 of stuff).
They also left in the middle of the job after asking me if I was jewish??? (which I am not) and completely scared my mother from how creepy they were acting.
They spilled sand from an art piece all over the building (and never paid for it so my new landlord made me pay for it), then they told me they would reimburse me and they never did and refuse to even return my phone calls after promising me they would reimburse me for it?
Honestly, THE WORST COMPANY and A TOTAL SCAM. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!! i am honestly furious with my experience and wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy. My friend used Elephant movers and they are way way way better!

I really wanted to like this business, really, I did!
When contacted me to apologize for my experience and the unexpected costs, they offered me a $ 75 refund to make the installation more affordable. Mind you, I did not request this or choose that amount… that was all them. i thought that was very generous of them and immediately decided I would write an updated review.
Skip to 5 weeks later… I have not heard a peep. I contacted Ron (sp?) not once but twice to see why I had not received a check. He was super apologetic and said he would look into it and get back to me. He never got back to me.
I think the people at One Item are nice and mean well. And, honestly, I do not think they did any of this on purpose. I think they just don’t have their acts together yet.
Still, you can’t offer a customer a refund and then not follow through, it isn’t professional.

I was very disappointed with their service. I had one small sofa I wanted them to bring in to my home and in the end, they couldn’t make that happen.
First, I called a few days earlier for a 3PM pick-​up. They said they could make it by 4PM and I replied that’s fine. Someone calls me at the end of the day letting me know they will push it back to 7PM. As they did give me advance notice, I was okay with it. I made some calls to arrange this change to other people the move would affect.
The day of the move at 6PM, I receive a call letting me know that they would not be done until 9PM or so. I was frustrated at this point, not because I did not get my sofa that day, but because I had made other people stay at their home on a Sunday evening to wait for the pick-​up and I had waited at my place for the drop-​off. Time is precious – we both could have been doing something else in the meantime. I went out for a quick dinner, where I receive another call saying they won’t be able to pick up until 10−11PM. 11PM? on a Sunday night? Really? They said they would give me a discount. Okay great, how much? He replied 5%. or maybe 10% at the most.
I felt at that point, they actually WANTED me to cancel since my business of moving one sofa was not worth their time. I think they were relieved when I called to cancel. They didn’t even really encourage me for another appointment date. Next time, if you’re unsure of the time you would finish at another customer’s home, DO NOT make another appointment. It is extremely rude to waste your customer’s time. I would have appreciated it more if they had said Sunday would not work. I would have just scheduled another day. Simple as that.
No thank you One Item Move. I’ll be using another service next time.

These guys are UNREAL! Jade and Mauricio came to move a twelve ton stove down two flights of stairs and deliver this monstrous item to the buyer of the stove who lived about twenty minutes away. My son recommended them because he’d used One Item Move before (Jade did the moving that time for my son, too) and all I can say is these two are real, live, super-hero’s!
Jade and Mauricio picked up on my «nervous Nellie» vibe as I was anxious about spending more than the «after hour» price they quoted me for one hourr’s work. So these super humans GOT IT DONE in exactly an hour! So word to the wise… NEVER be nervous with them because they’ve got it covered!
They’re the nicest, sincerest, coolest dudes and… they’re physics magicians because I still can’t figure out how they could have moved this massive item in the time they did with the care and professionalism they showed. They’re wizards of time and space!!!
One Item Move should be kissing the ground these two walk on because we surely do!

A few days ago we decided to mount our TV on the wall. We picked One Item Move as the company to call for this job. On time, Rami and Jay, two good looking young men, showed up on our door. Immediately they showed professionalism and kindness. In no time they installed the TV and Sound Bar to the wall leaving us satisfied on how precisely and clean these two handy men worked.
We are very happy with their services and will definitely call them again if we need more work done. We highly recommend the services of this company. Great job. Thank you !
