History

Established in 2012.

Peace of Mind Music Lessons was started by Justin Ashouri. He has been a musician since the age of 5, began playing music professionally at the age of 15 (tied to top industry names such as Prince, Lenny Kravitz, and the Kingsmen to name a few) and began teaching at the age of 18. «I wanted to put into practice all of the knowledge I had acquired in my studies to amount to something tangible before I began teaching. One of the biggest frustrations I had in connecting with my instructors were that none of them were applying their musical ability in the real world (playing gigs, producing records, taking part in the music business, etc.) and the lessons came across as just another way to pass time or pay the bills». Mr. Ashouri is a well decorated musician with many affiliations as well as charitable ties to the musical community.

Meet the Business Owner

Justin A.

Business Owner

I have been teaching music for almost decade. I teach everything, from learning basic cover songs to giving a student the know-how to start their own band and play venues on the sunset strip. I play and teach the guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums, vocals, mandolin and trumpet, as well as songwriting, tracking, mixing, mastering, MIDI composition, classical composition and performance.

Regardless if you’re a an old school shredder who wants to learn more theory, or just a beginner who wants to learn to play their first chord, I will do my absolute best to be the best teacher for you. I love the fluidity that comes with teaching, every student has different goals, therefore forcing me to constantly widen my range of expertise. Thank you for constantly giving me the opportunity to better myself.

Sincerely,

Justin Ashouri
