Soooo so so happy I found these guys, I had been paying way more and having to wait a week to get my money! I was also really happy to find out that they can melt your gold filled jewelry too– I was so excited after my first visit I wanted to do cartwheels down the hallway (but I restrained myself), fanning myself with all my hundred dollar bills haha. I’m a jeweler, in business for over 8 years, and I’m bummed I didn’t find Pegasus sooner– I hope they stay in business for a long time!!! The only thing I’d suggest is calling them before you make the trip over– that’s the only slight downside. Yay Pegasus — trustworthy, nice/​friendly, all work is done before your eyes. Great experience all 3 times!

I checked out the Unilocal reviews for this place and it seemed legitimate. I had a few pounds of old silver I decided to sell as scrap. Got a quote from a local jeweler which was ok but I wondered if I was really getting the most. Did some research and saw that a refiner is the place to go for the max dollars for your silver and gold.
I walked in after waiting a while I was escorted in by a friendly gentleman named Albert. They melted down my silver, which was an interesting process. Afterwards it became a shiny bar which was impressive. Then they xray tested it for purity and paid out the per ounce value of silver minus a few fees.
This was a great experience and I recommend it to anyone looking to sell scrap precious metals.

Best place to sell your silver and gold. They are nice people and helpful. Dont go to the pawn shops or jewelry shops. I will be back to melt more gold and silver for sure.

I’d never had any gold melted down, and I felt nervous walking down the long hallway to their office. They were so nice, and it seemed to be family run. I felt instantly at ease. They explained every step, let me watch them melt my gold down, weigh it, and x ray it for purity. They paid out 99% of the market rate for gold. They are honest and I will use them again in the future. I am so glad I cut out the middle man and went straight to the people that actually melt it down.

The only way to sell scrap gold and silver is at Pegasus! After getting a bunch of low ball offers for my scrap jewelry, I found Pegasus! They are a perfect 10. They spend the time with you to explain every step in the process, and give you the actual value of your Silver and Gold jewelry. Going to Pegasus cuts out the «middle man» so you get top dollar for your items. And they are so sweet and thoughtful, that after a long day of going to different retailers that buy gold/​silver, I was having a lot of back pain, and they were even kind enough to give me tylenol and water ;) Truly an A+ team at Pegasus and I will NEVER go anywhere but pegasus. Trust me. Don’t lose out on the true value of your items by going to these other «we buy gold/​silver» type shops! Thank you Pegasus team for being so professional, and courteous. Drove there today all the way from Palm Springs for my first time. Walked in and was treated like family. The president Alberto sat me down and explained the entire process from start to finish. He was VERY helpful. I got to watch the actual melt and pour which was pretty cool. We melted 3 kilos of silver today. I will definitely be back here! Thanks again!!!

I went there today around 3pm to sell some silver. They said they closed at 2 today «because of the holiday». It’s not new years and its not Christmas so i have no idea what holiday today is. But that’s right, there were still people there and they were «closed» because the machine was off. Nowhere on their website or even sign said they were closing at that time today. Bogus.
My advice — Call ahead. I was disappointed. Luckily the We buy Gold place downstairs was willing to help me and someone made some money off me today and I got the money I needed.
I definitely won’t make the 40 minute trip in traffic one way to go to this place again. Wasted my time.

while trying to find a pawn shop today in DTLA. I found pegasus. The customer service here is amazing. The people are very legit and friendly and try to get you the best deal possible. They even recommended a jewelry stores my friend can buy an engagement ring. We will definitely come back and highly recommend pegasus to sell your gold.

I looked up best places to sale gold in Los Angeles, and Pegasus came up. I took a screen grab of the search 3 weeks ago and decided to head downtown on Cyber Monday! I stopped by two places prior to Pegasus, one company gave me a fair price, the other company pretty much was trying to «get over» on me.

I wasn’t very optimistic after leaving the place that was trying to get over on me. So off to Pegasus I went. I dropped an hours worth of coins in the meter, and figured if this couldn’t be done in an hour or less, then it’s pretty much a time waster selling a gold chain that I’ve have for about 15 years. (my wife almost through it away as we were cleaning out an old drawer).
Once I arrived, the entire team was completely friendly.
I was told what the estimated amount would be for my gold chain. Let’s just say it was more than half than what I was told I would get at the mall.
I had it melted down, and my final amount was even more than the estimate! So I’m super pumped as this chain was almost tossed in the trash. as we had no idea.
In closing, DON’T take your gold or silver to the little jewelry shops, as all they’re going to do is take it to Pegasus. you might as well take all the cash.

Pegasus Metals is one of those few companies who give you customer service like family. I melted something for my family, and from the moment I walked in the door to their office, you feel like they are your friends. You can witness the melt which is nice, and the people who perform the melt actually explain the process so you clearly understand what is happening all the way — you feel like you are part of the process and actually understand what is going on. This is a family owned business, and it is very clear they take pride in their work. Great service a smile :)

Pegasus metals is one of the best places to go to sell your gold, silver or any precious metals! They gave me back almost every penny my gold was worth. Pawn shops were trying to give 750 but pegasus gave 3000 $!!! I know its a small family owned company with very polite and helping employees. I will continue to go there instead of the gold for cash places that rip you off!
