Pennsylvania Builders Supply

My review is not because PBS is bad — they were evicted so some developer can come build more apartments buildings that we DON’T NEED. We have lost a great, great company… so many people relied on this place, and now where will people go? I am so disgusted and angry.
Thanks PBS for being such a great place — so sorry to see you go.

Steve totally saved my epoxy project and took the extra initiative to organize a speedy home delivery of a sold out product. He did not hesitate to step into a frustrating situation and remedy it with professionalism and kindness. Thank you!

This valuable resource is the place I turn when I need knowledgeable advice, professional-​grade products, competitive pricing and helpful, efficient service. Having read the few negative reviews, I was especially tuned to see how I was treated. I couldn’t ask for more. I’ve been back again and again for plumbing, building and landscaping products and advice. They have a great stock of merchandise; they’ll quickly special order anything needed and they give prompt, no-​hassle refunds when I over-​buy.
They’re a great alternative or supplement to Home Depot and Lowes. They’ll be sorely missed at year end 2015 when their landlord is scheduled to evict them and all other businesses off the huge and valuable property for redevelopment. I can’t imagine that they’ll find comparable space close by and fear that we will have to do without them in the future. My thanks and good wishes to the staff and management. Hope you re-​open nearby.

Terrible customer service from «Steve». He has an attitude and a serious stick up his butt. Why would you have such an attitude, when I was so cordial and respectful to you? Steve literally yelled at me when I asked him «questions with obvious answers». Sorry that I don’t know about grout. I didn’t know that I would be belittled for my interest in tile… Thanks Steve, your a jerk.

They didn’t have what I needed but excellent phone customer service!

I don’t hesitate for a single second to give them the highest praise. The sales person I was working with was George. He is the most cordial customer service I can wish for, and his knowledge of the industry is superb. I’ll never ever look for another sours unless it is something they don’t carry.

Great customer service, great attitudes of the people that work there. Quiet and organized, one of the best supply houses in LA!

This place is the best, great selection of building supplies especially for the backyard (concrete pavers, rocks, and materials for a fire pit. The guys are quite helpful, friendly with fare prices. Reminds me of an old school hardware store where the people were knowledgeable and cared about the customers.

A hidden gem! Lots of interesting building supplies, decomposed granite, decorative rocks, tiles, etc. Super helpful people who are willing to share advice and not push sales. They also have me a recommendation for someone to install a product and their referral was fantastic. Super place. I will be back and I am telling all my friends & neighbors.

This Is my favorite home improvement place. They have everything u need for yard projects and the guys that work there are very knowledgable. Definitely beats Home Depot for pavers, decorative rocks etc. a hidden gem In West Hollywood.

All I needed was a single 18×18 paver and had driven to two Anawalt lumber stores (both of which did not have any inventory and very poor service at the sepulveda store). I found Pennsylvania builders on a fluke and from the moment I walked in everyone was really down to earth, friendly and helpful. I am so happy to have found this place. Bye bye Anawalt!

if you’re doing major remodeling, this place sells lots of construction supplies, tile, stone, trim, hardware, concrete, plumbing etc to get the job done.
i’ve bought specialty products here (like concrete for walls, 6″ drain pipes [standard is 4″], etc). the staff is always energetic and eager to help. they always have some bad/​funny jokes to share up at the checkout counter. but mostly they really care about what they’re selling you, and what you’re doing with it. they don’t just want to sell you some concrete, they want to know who you’re burying with it i mean what you’re doing with it, and if you’re doing it right. they know the fine points of products and the details. that’s why i like these guys. definitely more of a pro shop than home depot, but i wouldn’t let that intimidate you b/​c these guys are eager to help.
this is the kind of good old fashion bricks and mortar store (literally) that we need more of. real service, real knowledge.
