Be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes in drive thru. Wait time is horrible! The only reason here is because there none by my house. It was right off the fwy.

It took 45 minutes to get HALF of my order… ordered two chicken sandwiches with nobody in the restraunt. The lady’s behind the bulletproof glass were actually mentally ill judging by their abilities. Unapologetic and I even went on corporate website to file a complaint. I think since it’s the ghetto nobody cares. I will never attend another POpEyes in LA or any big city, DISGUSTING customer service.

This is the worse Popeyes I have been too EVER. We waited in a long drive thru line for about 40 minutes… then when we got to the window the guy repeated the order it was right but when the bags were checked things were missing… how does that happen when it was repeated. So now we have to wait in another long line to get what was missing. And who gives two barbecue sauces for a 5 piece then a 3 piece strip meal… lastly the chicken doesn’t look like chicken but something burnt that isn’t chicken… ugh

This spot is pretty sad. Way too many homeless, ghetto, druggies, and just dirty freaking people not only outside but inside Popeyes. Come on, I know it’s South Central but damn, take some pride in your establishment! If you are not here to buy food, go away! The food is freaking amazing though. I love Popeyes chicken strips, Cajun rice, rice and beans, Mac and Cheese, etc. overall it’s so much better than KFC. I’m not huge on fast food anymore… but Popeyes hits the spot. Just clean up and you can get a better Unilocal rating.

I needed to use my credit/debit card and they charged me $ 0.49 just to spend my money with them. That was irritating and to top it off the girl didn’t even bag my food. I had to ask for a bag after calling her back to the drive through window.

RATS, homeless people, and non-existent service=worst dining experience ever! I was SO overwhelmed. We stopped at this Popeye’s location around 2 am and we were approached 4 times by homeless people. They kept circling the drive thru begging for money. There were multiple crackheads standing right by the window staring at us at we paid. The service was horrible and we waited more than twenty minutes for our food. The worst part was the whole colony of rats playing around in the bushes right by the back door. I counted at least ten rats just having a field day in the drive thru area. A few of them even started coming towards our car. I was just so outdone and completely lost my appetite. Never ever going back.

This is another fried chicken joint in South Central. Open till midnight but if you come late be prepared to be harassed by homeless hiding(literally), at the drive thru. When I was there the monitor was broken and you had to order directly at the window. Overall it’s overpriced and for some people it could be dangerous. Good luck and be prepared for the sh*t to go down just in case. I would recommend Louisiana Fried Chicken if you’re going to risk your a$$.

I did not feel the love during my visit to this Popeyes. I pulled up to the intercom to place my order and the worker kept saying he couldnt hear me so I pulled up to the window making it convient for him. He gave me a total at the window and I told him I never order becuase he sayed could not hear me on the intercom. He said maam nexttime you need to order at the intercom. To make a long story short, after I ordered and payed at the window, I realized I wanted to order something else. He said maam you can not order anything else. I said but Im the customer, he responded Im over my time and your holding up my line. I drove off in disblief, who says that?

It’s not my first bullet-proof-glass-at-the-counter fast food experience. This place has enough parking space.

this place gets 1 star because you have no choice! if i had a choice, it would be negative 5! i grew up with popeyes all around me. i’ve only had a few times since i moved to california and it was still the same… spicy, juicy and crunchy! however, the other night, i was craving fried chicken and it just so happened that my boyfriend was down the street from this particular location. so he stopped to pick up 8 pieces of spicy dark meat with three sides… cajun rice, coleslaw and mashed potatoes with gravy. the chicken was not spicy… it was WAY over cooked… it mind as well had been chicken jerky. the cajun rice was mushy, the coleslaw was a little bit of cabbage in a lot of sweet liquid, and the mashed potatoes tasted like it came out of a box! seriously, this place makes popeyes look BAD!!! whoever let these guys buy this franchise location should refund their money and take back the location before they ruin popeyes reputation!

My friend was craving Popeye’s and we headed here yesterday afternoon after the Lakers game. We parked and went inside and all of the tables were filthy so while my friend was in line I asked the girl at the counter if there was something to wipe off table(there are no napkins that you can grab yourself). The girl apologized and said she would do it and she came out and started cleaning the tables. Then I look back and she is the only person working the register so now she is cleaning tables and no ones order is being taken. I look over and the guy working the drive thru is ringing orders AND is the cook… so he is handling cash and cooking. Must be a health code violation. Anyways…my friend proceeds to wait for the girl to come back to the register and after about 15 minutes and still no order taken I convinced him to go to KFC down the street. I DONOT blame the employees. I blame the management 100%!

Yuck Gross Nasty! –idk wat I was expecting honestly This is one of the sus’ssed Popeye’s on the face of the earth 1. They make you pull past the drive thru window to deactivate the timer(Cus that shit is already pre-prepared and they dnt want you to notice how fast they are cooking it nor can you see how they are cooking it.) 2. To make matters worst once I pulled up a homeless man in a top hat started praying at my window. I couldn’t drive forwards nor backwards so I had to listen to his entertaining incantations.(The get one star because of this entertainment) 3. The food was horrid. I know its not a 5 star restaurant but seriously they can at least try and make it edible. Popeye’s is a more expensive fast food joint so maybe I expect more but the popcorn shrimp on my po’boy was something sinister. All around bad texture and horrible smell. It wasn’t normal fast food.

Love dat chicken at Popeye’s! Yeah I do, it’s been a long time since I have had some Popeyes chicken & biscuits. I was surprised how much I liked it. The spiciness of the chicken then the buttery taste of the biscuits. Ok, this is the most ghetto Popeyes ever so if you don’t mind risking your life & then dealing with not understanding the guy repeating your or, oh yeah & the thick plexiglass between you & the guy inside definitely let’s you know you are in the hood. Anyway, the mac & cheese was watery so don’t waste your money. In the end I enjoyed the chicken, I will be back to Popeyes, just not this one. I don’t have a death wish I need to fullfill.
