Dr. Potkin is great. Whenever I’ve had a problem, he very efficiently figured out how to diagnose and solve it. He is a very busy guy, but I always get a call back. On one occasion, he saved my life by insisting that I go to the ER immediately and told me that he was calling them right now to tell them I was coming. Which sounds funny now, but I was walking around with a perforated appendix that other people kept telling me was an ovarian cyst – and he was the only person who said that you can’t assume anything about abdominal pain, that you absolutely must get it checked out.

Hands down one of the smartest doctors I have ever encountered. Thank you Dr. Potkin

Dr. Potkin is very busy because, as an excellent and competent doctor he is in demand. He doesn’t have time for long chats like most of us would appreciate but I have no doubt that the care he provides is first rate. I’ve had a serious medical issues(a burst appendix) and, whatever the hour, he made sure to get back to me regarding my concerns.

This doctor is certainly a scam artist. I have been seeing doctors for a very long time and he was by far the most ADD, uncaring, unprofessional, un-empathetic doctor I’ve ever dealt with. The entire office was exploding in chaotic madness. He kept leaving the room and he had only ONE staff member with a decent attitude. He didn’t have any time to speak with me or run any legitimate tests(unless they were labs that would pay him more money). He treated me like I was annoying and ready for me just to get out of there. I have a very serious medical condition that requires a knowledgable doctor’s assistance. If he knew as much as he claims to know about my condition, he would’ve displayed SO much more compassion than he did(zero). I am rating him on every possible web site and web forum. I am spreading the word about him: STAYAWAY. The only thing that could stop me or cause me to retract this is for him to issue a formal apology and allow a free follow-up visit. I can easily laugh at the idea that this would ever happen. He’s too busy, and if it doesn’t pay, then it ain’t gonna happen. :\

I love my Dr. Potkin! He doesn’t come off great on first impression, but he listens to me & even my suggestions. I have a serious chronic infection(lyme disease) and he is helping me to fight this long fight. Update: while I still have wonderful feelings for Dr. Potkin, I don’t think he is the best Dr to treat Lyme disease but not because I don’t think he is all that interested in it. He is very busy with two offices. If you go see him, make sure you go to the Malibu office, it’s larger, has free parking, and it’s just a more laid back atmosphere. He doesn’t seem as rushed there. If you have Lyme disease, there are better Dr’s for this illness.
