Precise Air Systems

Dishonest, unprofessional, and just an all around waste of time. I was connected with Precise Air through the Costco Lennox program. I had them come out 2 years ago to get a bid for a whole house change-​out. After the estimate visit, I had to call them regularly for 2 weeks to get a bid, which was above our budget (Lennox is typically pretty pricey but good equipment) so we ended up going with another company.
Fast forward to present day — we were looking to install a thick (5″) media filter in our HVAC system to pull allergens from the air, and from everything we’ve read, Lennox has the best unit. We decided to try Precise again and have them come out for an estimate. Their bid was reasonable and we were ready to hire them. However, when I asked about the Costco cash card that comes with contracting them through Costco, we were told by our Precise rep, Greg:
«We gave you a bid assuming you weren’t going through Costco. If we knew you were going through Costco our bid would’ve been higher.»
In other words, beware of that so called «deal» for going through Costco, as Precise Air charges their referral fee right back to you.
Against our better judgment we still went with Precise Air to get the unit installed because we wanted it in ASAP to improve our allergies. They came out a couple of days later for the install and quickly learned the unit wouldn’t fit and they needed a custom made part that would increase the overall cost by about 20%. We were annoyed by the inconvenience but understood and still wanted them to do it. I called Precise Air several times and our rep Greg happened to be in a meeting every time and never got back to me. After trying unsuccessfully to get in touch with them for 2 weeks we gave up on them and hired a much more professional HVAC company that quickly got the job done for less. We’re guessing that they made the calculation that our small job (almost $ 1k) was not worth the effort and did not have the courtesy to communicate that to us. I will be reporting them to Costco in hopes they move on to another contractor to be their Lennox rep.
Save yourself time and effort and avoid them.

I had my HVAC installed a few years ago by these guys. Since then I had two problems. Both times they came out and fixed it without any issue whatsoever. So glad I went through Precise. The whole process was a great experience.

These guys don’t know what they’re doing. They came to my home twice to check for a leak in my AC system. Their idea of a leak test is to refill your coolant and wait a week or two for it to run out. Each time, they didn’t bring the proper equipment to test the system. All they’re good for is refilling your coolant. If you own a Lennox AC unit, call someone else. Anybody else.

On time, professional, honest and on the money. The job was done beautifully and trust me, our system is a big one. I would highly recommend to all who need assistance with their air conditioning/​heating units. Thumbs up!

When you hire an HVAC company to come out for a repair you rarely expect them to show up on time, do the work in less time than expected, AND charge you a fair and reasonable price. That’s Precise Air every time. I’ve used Precise Air over the past decade, and I’ve always been satisfied with them. I’ve purchased a brand new system from them as well as having them do some maintenance on my older system. They are professional and treat you like a valued customer. I’ve recommended them to many of my friends and I can’t believe I waited this long to write a review on Unilocal.Feel confident in calling them for your HVAC needs.

I had faith in this company and their work because I purchased it from Costco. From the beginning I had problems with delays in installation. Recently I called for a check of the furnace and was told it needed a new filter. I had the Gas Company serviceman come and check the filter because I didn’t believe I could need a new filter after only a couple of months of use. The Gas Company serviceman said I did not need a new filter. Now Precise Air Systems is billing me for a free service call, the call in which their serviceman lied about the filter. They seem very dishonest !

I had a HVAC and new furnace installed by Precise this past July through Costco. Overall I was very satisfied with the work they did. They brought in guys to removed my old furnace and all the asbestos in my attic for a reasonable price and installed the new furnace and Lennox HVAC for my 3 bedroom house 1750 square feet in about 4 days. Getting the job done through Costco was great because they offer a rebate in the form of a Costco cash card.
Getting the permit was another story entirely. I highly recommend checking what your citys requirements are for proper installment before scheduling an inspector to check out the work. It took over 5 months to get the permit approved. The inspector we got was very picky about how he wanted the job done and Precise had to keep sending out Jim to make adjustments. It took several visits to get the work approved.
It was a frustrating process but David was very accomodating. He gave me his cell phone number and was constantly contacting me by phone and text to ensure me he was on top of what had to be done. He even lent me a ladder so the inspector could reach the attic. During the final inspection he even came out to my house and was there with the inspector to make sure the job was done right.
If you are planning on installing or upgrading your system I would definitely recommend getting an estimate from Precise-​you won’t be disappointed!

My mother is not very savvy with construction works, and as a result always feels tricked by contractors in one way or another and rarely has specific praise for works done. She came to me because she felt that Precise Air Systems Inc. deserved a 5-​star review and I created a Unilocal account just because she felt so strongly about them.
We purchased a Lennox central air conditioning and heating system with Precise Air through Costco in June 2013; as part of the deal we also got a 10% rebate cash card from Costco. We have had the system for half a year now and it works really well.
Jack was the customer representative who honored a very low price for my mother by cutting his own commission to a very low margin in order to get it down to something she could afford. He wrote down a very clear and detailed description of the service and works.
Jeff the installation technician and his assistants did a great job. Jeff was very patient, answering all of my mother’s questions, and where she was unsure about where to place louvers or other things he gave his professional advice AND got her buy-​in prior to starting the job (a lot of other contractors will normally just do things first without consulting, and if you’re unhappy after– too bad!). The team was courteous and punctual, did a very professional job of installation and cleaning up. We are very happy with the installation works. Having no knowledge of construction work, my mother felt very lucky to come across trustworthy and honest workers. She jokes that Jeff does his job in such a professional manner that it doesn’t matter whether it’s a regular house or a million-​dollar home, he undertakes the work in the same way with the same respect.
Scott was the service technician who came over, did a final detailed testing of the unit, and showed my mother the operation and future maintenance of the central air and heating unit. Very friendly and instructive.
We didn’t know much about Precise Air Systems, Inc. at first; now after having done this job at our house, we can HIGHLY recommend this company. Great job to the company to hire such professional staff. My mother has reiterated that they deserve five stars from pricing to installation and all around.

I also purchased a Lennox furnace from Costco which was installed by Precise. I highly recommend Vigan and his crew.

WARM & SNUG
Last November, it was apparent that the 25-​rear old gas furnace serving our central heating system had finally given up the ghost. For the past couple of years, it had been dodgy — it took the striker multiple, agonizing attempts to get things fired up. And cold weather was imminent.
It was to Costco that we went shopping for a complete replacement of our heating and A/​C. They offer Lennox systems, and it was a local distributor of that brand, Precise Air Systems, Inc., that ultimately contacted us and sent over an estimator, Vigan Kachikian, who is related to the owner.
Vigan knows his stuff. He provided a surprisingly reasonable estimate after a quick survey of our 1940-​vintage house. The job required installation of the new furnace, new A/​C condenser, new ductwork under the floor and in the attic, new ceiling vents, and a wall-​mounted systems controller. His estimate was several thousand less than what I’d expected, but I’m pessimistic by nature when it comes to such major home refurbishments; I have reason to be.
After we accepted the terms of the job, Vigan returned with his tape measure and sketch book to diagram each room’s measurements and the placement of ceiling vents.
Have I said that Vigan is REALLY good at what he does?
The job took three days. Considering the scope of the task, the 2 – 3 man installation team was impressively quick and competent. And they cleaned up completely afterwards. Of all the work crews that have improved or repaired our residence over the years — painters, pavers, kitchen remodelers, roofers, window and door installers, awning installers, flooring installers, landscapers, water and sewage line installers — the Precise Air guys rank among the very best in our experience. (Hmm. I didn’t realize until now how much we’ve had done. No wonder I’m not in a financial position to retire just yet. And there’s more yet to do!)
And wouldn’t you know? Two days after the completion of the job in mid-​December, the winter’s cold arrived. But we’re warm and snug. Best of all, the wife is supremely happy.

Oh, and did I mention that, as part of the contract, we got a kickback from Costco in the form of a Costco Cash Card for roughly 10% of the installation cost? Sweet!

Got this business through Costco. They removed the old 1931era furnaces, arranged for asbestos abatement, and designed and installed a new high efficiency home heating and air conditioning system. The great part was how well they did the job, on time, and with considerable understanding of what I wanted. I’m 71 and have worked with a lot of contractors. These guys know what they are doing.
