What can I say about this place other than… OMG ! The chicharron in green sauce is to die for. And make sure to ask the kind lady in the back for the specials. She made this crazy, crazy hot sauce with meat and potatoes. If you are looking for a go to it’s the green enchiladas. it is a small spot and I always feel like I am going home for lunch or dinner. If you guys ever in the area it is a must!!!

It’s ok. I have been here twice and each time the food has been adequate. I haven’t yet had anything memorable or better than anywhere else. It is, however, good and I probably will go back. If I find anything better than the rest, I’ll update this review. Otherwise, it is good place to eat if you’re in the area. Nothing worth a special trip.

Absolutely delicious. Quesadilla had some amazing cheeses. Enchiladas were excellent. Rice and beans are always important to me and they were excellent as well. Service took a minute but it’s obviously because they made everything fresh. Prices can’t be beat. This is our new place!

I came here for the second time yesterday and it was just as fresh and delicious as the first time I tried it. I have to drive about 15 minutes out of my way to go here for a bite to eat after work, and it’s totally worth it. I ordered the taquitos plate this time. Yum! The taquitos are chicken taquitos, the guy who runs the place said they also make them with chicken and potato, hmmm… that sounds delicious too. They were amazing! Crispy, rolled taco perfection, with big pieces of chicken that were tender and delicious. And they come with a beautiful salad garnish on top and rice and beans. I think I’d skip the raw onions on the salady garnish next time, because the onion flavor took over a bit when I was finished. That’s bound to happen sometimes when eating raw onions. ha ha. Other than that, the beans! Oh my gosh the beans here are so good! Creamy and delicious, with big whole beans in creamy bean broth. The rice is good too. This was a completely delicious bargain. Just under ten bucks for a big fresh plate of taquitos, w/avocado slices, veggies, rice & beans, and a soft drink. It’s hard to decide what to order at this place, because everything looks and sounds so good. They have several kinds of Mole! I had Mole enchiladas the first time I ate here and it was awesome. They put up a big chalkboard style menu on the wall where the counter and kitchen are, and it makes the whole place so much prettier. It gives it a modern vibe that’s super sweet. The guy who owns the place said he would explain some of the menu items if I wanted, some of them sound like new-to-me Mexican dishes. But I knew I wanted to try the taquitos, so I went with that. He also said they are doing improvements on the dining area soon. They’re going to make a bar on the one end with a new, banquette seating area. I bet it’s going to be pretty, because they did such a nice job on the menu wall. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their delicious food. Anyway, check this place out for sure. It’s a pretty, quaint little neighborhood place, with a very friendly staff. I’m still thrown by the fact that they don’t bring chips and salsa to the table, this is the first Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to that doesn’t have that. But it’s way better for my waistline to just eat my entrée than to eat a bunch of chips beforehand. Tierra Client knows whats good for me. I hope /wish they’d offer cooking classes some day because I need to learn how to cook food like this.

Came in with a few coworkers as our first time. Ordered the Chilaquile plate that also came with eggs and beans. Requested the eggs with Chorizo and was recommended the chilaquiles«A La Diabla» by our server which is supposed to add a spicy kick. I am satisfied to say that I loved every bite of the food that I had to write this review as soon as I got back to work. The eggs and chorizo were not greasy and its flavor was reminiscent of the homestyle mexican cooking I’ve been looking for while on the go. Now I enjoy eating spicy food, in no way am I a pro at it, but I thought that the Chilaquiles A La Diabla was just right. The chilaquiles had a distinct smoky flavor and the spicyness was not overwhelming that one couldn’t enjoy eating. As far as everything else: the service, the décor, the music(Thumps up for playing Luis Miguel, Eydie Gorme, and Los Panchos) were an A+. Working less than 5 minutes away from this restaurant, I am definitely coming back and ordering the same plate!

Took like 30 minutes to get my food as i watched 3 people who ordered after me get theirs first, idk how all these people put 5 stars. Maybe they just give bad service to everybody who isnt from Mexico. They literally have only 2 tables that seat 4 each. Their flautas were garbage along with the rice and beans. If i could put zero stars i would.

This place is the real thing! True authentic Mexican dishes likes your grandma makes. This family run gem in the middle of my childhood neighborhood is a much needed addition. Their champurrado and horchata are delicious! I had the enchiladas de mole and licked my plate… but you can’t go wrong with any of their dishes. Daily guisado selections are mouth watering. The décor and family cooking in the kitchen makes you feel like you’re in Mexico which I absolutely love.

Came in here after reading all the reviews for mole enchiladas. They make their mole from scratch, which I admire because it’s fairly complicated and it means they care. Well I sure was not disappointed. Sauce was rich and bold. Can’t wait to try the roja, Verde, and the rest. Friendly waiter, Mexican coca cola, I’ll head back soon!

This little restaurant located in Cypress Park, just a short walk from my house, and it has a very friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. My family and I went in for an early dinner and the wait staff patiently explained the menu. My wife enjoyed it, the kid enjoyed it and our out-of-town guests enjoyed it. I fell in love with the stewed pork that I ordered. The tortillas a hand-made, the coca-cola is Mexican. I am not in love with the big screen TV they have inside the place, but I can live with it.

What are you looking for in a restaurant… This little very inexpensive, taco, burrito, quesadilla joint… eclipses many others. Only five tables inside with four tables outside… Dervyn, our waiter, and his family, cooked up one heck of a meal, as music spilled out of other local restaurants. We will be back… so, if you choose to leave your fancy shoes behind, and grunge a little with the rest of us… Maybe we’ll see you here. Stuffed to the gills two of us walked out paying less than $ 22.

So this is my third time’s the same girls were here. I guess they are family. I met the dudes today. How awesome to have your family pitching in to the family business. Great food great service. I feel like I’m in Zacatecas having breakfast at my grandmother’s house. Again the food is the star here, but you can’t overlook the family goodness going on here. The dad fixing stuff and greeting people reminded me of my own father, always looking for something to fix. Get up and get down here for breakfast already

Holy mole. The Enchiladas de Mole is as good as everyone here says it is! It’s so savory and certainly authentic. I had it vegetarian and it was incredible. This is going to be a new craving now for sure. Family owned business, I felt so welcomed and looked after. Amazing experience from A to Z. Gracias!!!

If I were of Mexican dissent I would say this food is authentic and so because I am just of Spanish origins I’ll have to settle for«This Food ROCK’S « I had the enchiladas Verde and everythig on the plate was great. Fresh ingredients. The propietor spent a gracious amount of time with us. Great for lunch or early dinner for they close at 7. Mom’s at the stove and even though we were of obvious gayage mom told us she puts Love in every meal.

Mexican food for me is THE cuisine of life. So I am always on the search for the best Mexican restaurant. With much joy, I can say that I have found it(well, actually it was my husband, but I am the Mexican here.). Tierra Caliente is the spot for authentic comida Mexicana. As soon as I sat down, I felt at home. The restaurant is small but full of warmth and excitement as you take a look at their menu. Traditional mouthwatering Mexican food is what you get at Tierra Caliente! I had the Enchiladas de Mole, which came wth rice and beans. Now you know, the mole determinant of an authentic Mexican restaurant. Much to my delight, the mole is da bomb! The mole was not too spicy or sweet or too thick or thin. It was also not overpowering. The chicken filling to be continued…
