D.W. — I actually spoke to the ‘other’ company Peter mentions and they said it was him and is wife and it was the same company, when they divorced he took the clients and started his own business. However we got a letter from Pete’s new organization stating their company underwent a reorganization however its still same company that has been serving us for 20 years. This company is a shiester company. In addition this management company does not disclose important or relevant information to the homeowners. They even got sued and lost and never disclosed this to their homeowners in their minutes or even in their annual financial statements. They also will not respond to any questions /complaints from the homeowners where it involves them in the wrong, and if you’re lucky enough for someone to pick up the phone and answer they don’t give you any information and keep saying they’ll call back. They’re quick to blame you as a homeowner for anything that happens but when for eg. They flooded our apartment and it was their fault and they continued to ignore these repairs and not take responsibility per the articles of the association.

This update is in response to Pete D.‘s comment left on 12÷17÷13, which I find interesting. I presume the person who left this comment is Peter Drivas, who is mentioned in the company profile here on Unilocal and on the company’s web site. He claims that he started this company in 2011, after my initial review, so my review must have been intended for a different company. What’s interesting is that I personally received emails from Peter Drivas of RightWay as early as 2008. Perhaps he tried to change the company name ever so slightly(such as changing LLC to Inc.) so as to avoid these negative but accurate reviews? Regardless of what company name-changes may have happened on paper, I stand by my initial review, which was of RightWay, a property management company that was(and sounds like still is) headed by Peter Drivas. Stay away from Wrong Way. I’m so glad my HOA finally got rid of them.

I so agree with everyone else. There should be a different way to rate HORRIBLE companies like RightWay LA, without issuing even one star. There is nothing right about how they do things. They never return calls or respond to emails unless you keep trying and be annoying. At that point, the owner gets on your case for harassing his employees by making multiple inquiries. He actually starts cursing and being very rude — regardless of who you are. He forgets that HEWORKSFORUS. I don’t care if you are a janitor or the CEO of AT&T. You are hired to do a job — DOIT. EVERY request that was sent to him has been outstanding for an average of 8 months — YES, EIGHTMONTHS. Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is not government entity that oversees condo/apartment management companies. Frankly, the rude, irresponsible, unresponsive owner of this horrid place should shut this company down and find a job that DOESNOTREQUIREHUMANINTERACTION. Perhaps he can work alone in a cave since he does not like dealing with people. If your building hires this company, FIRETHEMRIGHTAWAY. You will thank me later.

They are so bad it is incredible. The people they hire are terrible too, if you have any say don’t use them!

This company needs to be named Wrong-Way. I agree with the other reviewer — one star is far too kind for Right-Way. Working with them in our association is a nightmare; our HOA is run by bullies and supposedly ‘managed’ by this company. They have a joke of a website, with no tools for residents other than an ‘email us’ note, and most of the real associations have websites where residents can view CC&R’s, download forms, etc. Either they are under-staffed or under-qualified — not sure which. Every time we call, they say ‘put it in writing’ and no one ever calls us back or follows up. What a joke!

If I could give less than one star I would. This company is the most horrible property management company I have ever dealt with. I don’t know if they just have too many properties to manage, but so many of the tenants(myself included) have had continual HORRIBLE experiences with them. In my experience with them they have demonstrated ZERO people skills, they were extremely slow to fix any problems, didn’t seem to care a bit about the safety and well being of their tenants and were quick to scold for trivial issues. Horrible company. Consider yourself warned.
