There’s different pricing tiers for AYCE dinner and the cheapest one has a good selection and good meat quality. This place gets super loud so it’s hard to have a conversation. They also have a small valet parking so street parking is the best option if you don’t want to tip the valet… if you’re lucky enough to find one quickly.

Imagine a club with great music, but everyone’s eating and grilling instead of dancing. For about 25 bucks you get all you can eat with a bunch of meat choices including garlic pork belly, bulgoki, kal bi, squid, baby octopus, steamed egg, and a whole lot more. This place must have a max seating of 400 and theres still usually a line to get a table. Great place to bring the family. Theres a big parking lot in the back and the staff is pretty nice considering each of them are in charge of 15 tables each. This is usually where I bring friends and fam from out of town. I’m a fan !

Been to this place a few times, the food is the only thing that kept me coming back. The waiters pushing for a tip is a major turn off. Today we had to ask repeatedly for salad, water, potato salad, etc. mind you, they weren’t busy. We had to ask both waiters multiple times. But other tables asked for the same thing after and got them before us. Even the brisket tasted funny. But yeah, It has been the worst experience. I can say I won’t be back

Celebrating your son’s college graduation is a big deal, so we wanted to go somewhere he liked. The first place he mentioned was this restaurant, as it is AYCE Korean Food, and the prices relatively reasonable. The 3rd choice among three menus is the best, and includes shrimp, kalbi beef, pork ribs and other specialty items. Well, I told the server this is my first time, and she was more than willing to get me started in the art of Korean BBQ. She masterfully cut the red meats and strategically placed the dense meats in the corner of the grill and thin meats for faster cooking, and allowing space, once done. I guess ignorance is bliss when it comes to new foods. I have to say we ordered 3 sets of meats, all expensive cuts or large shrimps, so we wanted to get our money’s worth. Well, while writing this review, food coma is finally wearing off, so while it was gratifying, the excellent food we devoured kept us all full through dinner time, thus even more justification for the next time we come here. A special note is in order for this restaurant, as there are plans to build a San Gabriel Valley restaurant at the northwest corner of Main and Garfield in Alhambra. I hope to give you an update by the end of summer!

I came here last night for a get together with some friends for my birthday. The atmosphere was nice, spacious seating with a nice modern clubby feel to it. We had the AYCE19.99 option(there are more expensive options with more meats). The quality of the meat was notably better than some of the cheaper AYCE places around. However a small knock on the smaller variety of side dishes. Service was good. The staff was a bit swamped but they made every effort to make sure that we were taken care of. Our grill was changed quite often(however, it did not seem like the vent was really working). Since it was my birthday, the staff played the typical happy birthday song, and brought me a Choco Pie with a candle in it(which was kind of cute). Place is a great place for a nice KBBQ experience. It is a little pricier than most, but def worth it. Reservations were easy and parking was somewhat easier than most places in KTown.

The price point is great, but the service and atmosphere is meh to me. Be prepared to fist pump while you eat. I seriously cannot stand restaurants that play crazy house music/dubstep(ie, they played Steve Aoki’s set from TomorrowWorld). I think it is the restaurant’s strategy to get their customers to rush and eat faster so they can seat others. When we arrived, we were super lucky and were seated immediately. We were a party of 9 and we squished ourselves for 1 grill. ONE grill… even though there was a big table with two grills available! It was very uncomfortable. I’m guessing we were able to skip over a ton of people in front of us because we were a big group and they’d earn more profit from a larger group. We asked for the table with 2 grills, but the lady in the front grumpily told us we would have to wait 2+ hours for that table… The food here was pretty good. Good variety of appetizers as well as variety of meat. I’d go with the middle tier of AYCE so you can eat pork belly and marinaded steak. A server came by maybe every 10 minutes to flip some meat over for us and refill meat/water. By the end of the meal, I was stuffed to the max and was about to explode. It was well worth the $ 30. Also, it’s helpful to have someone Korean sitting with you. I think we would’ve been completely ignored without our Korean friend…

I love Korean BBQ, but when I remember one of my favorites, I think Road to Seoul. I don’t come here all the time because I’m always trying something new, but this is one of the places that I will always come back to. Every time I come here I leave happy with a belly full of joy. In an area where BBQ is abundant and the competition is fierce, this place survives and thrives. There’s a good reason for it, quality food and service. We like visiting for lunch, friends’ parties, drunken tirades, and any good reason to have yourself an excellent meal. The service is nice, the place is large, and my mind is always partying with the music. This is a place where you can bring your family, friends, or a date. You can learn a lot about Korean drinking games if you show up on weekend nights and be asked to participate. It’s always best to have an insider to explain, but nevertheless fun. The variety of meat depends on what you want, what you’re willing to eat(various animals and animal parts), and what you’re willing to dish out($). However, you won’t break the bank if you’re in a mid to large group. The brisket and beef tongue are delicious, especially with a bit of sesame oil. Don’t hesitate to ask servers for advice or help; they’re always helpful. Parking can be a pain, but they do have additional parking in the back, on 12th street, so don’t stress the meters. Anyway, bring your best buds and fill yourselves with good food and a fun experience.

Personally, I am a very patient and accepting person but this place is not one I would recommend or return to. I was invited to come to Road to Seoul for a birthday party. I give it to them that they do have plenty of seating to accommodate large/birthday parties, however service is ridiculous! First off, valet parking is $ 3CASHONLY but all they do is park your car and right away give you back your keys so you have to pull up your own car anyways. Kudos to the valet driver who parked our cousin’s car brand new beamer an inch away from the trash can. They offer a 3 different AYCE options that differ in meat selection. I was turned off by the fact that you had to separately purchase the noodles(by the way, which tasted great). As, the sodas are sold by can. =( Now I have been to plenty of KBBQ restaurants, so I know how to properly cook the meat without burning the grill. As soon as we received the meat we began to cook it. Immediately, one of the older female servers approached us several times and rudely told us not to cook the meat and that she would do it herself because we don’t know what we are doing. She only flipped our meat over a couple of times and was no longer seen the rest of the night. So I’m assuming if I actually listened to her our meat would have been burnt. Also, you can only place 3 meat orders at a time. Despite my horrible experience, I did like the fact that they bring the attention to the birthday celebrant by flicking the lights, turning up the music and singing happy birthday.

I used to think I was spoiled growing up in Annandale, VA where Korean food culture was so abundant(and tasty!) but boy was I wrong. The first thing that caught my attention was the menu. So. Many. Meats. My favorite thing to get is porkbelly, and when I saw that there were so many different flavors, my face instantly lit up! Garlic??? Miso??? Wine??? Road to Seoul? I’m surprised I didn’t gain 50000 lbs! Even though I usually mostly enjoy pork belly, I think I might have liked the beef brisket the most. For the beef brisket, you can literally taste the richness in flavor the moment the meat touches your tongue, which I thought was amazing because usually I have to dip my meat into some type of sauce for that kbbq-esque satisfaction. Other than the meat, the service was fantastic. I’m so used to cooking my own meat and constantly asking for water, but surprisingly I didn’t have to do that one single time! Even the side dish refills came out quick! This place is also considerably big, and There wasn’t really a line when I went, which was around 7pm on a Sunday night. I didn’t think the contrast between east coast /west coast kbbq would be so big… so I’m a little upset to think that I’ll have to buy a plane ticket just so I can experience this again. But when that actually happens, this is gonna be the first place I go to.

This place used to be better. One of the plates we got when we first sat down was greasy and had a piece of hair on it. One of the toilets in the ladies restroom was overflowing with pee water into the next stall and all over sink area, really gross. And they stopped serving the kimchi pancakes which was the only reason I picked this place over the hundreds of other kbbq joints around. The sides just aren’t really that good.

Geez this place was packed to the brim! Perhaps a little too much since they had to bring out the folding chairs for some of my group. Overall solid experience! very loud mind you, but seems very trendy. To be honest, I didn’t see anything food wise that really made it stand out from any other KBBQ joint(What’s your thing? Special meat?) Surprisingly, they have a vegetarian menu if you have any of them somehow tagging along with you on a trip to massacre meat.

I think I often go eat Korean BBQ when I am recovering from something. Last time I was sick. This time my legs were all sore from dancing all night and begging for protein. Road to Seoul definitely helped me with a lot of delicious meat! I got here at around 5:30pm on Sunday. They have a valet for $ 2.5 at the front. The inside was pretty busy, but my friend and I got seated in a few minutes. The table already had side dishes and a bowl of salad set up. They have a couple of options for AYCE, but we did the first option, which was $ 19.99. A selection in this option was pretty good! Beef tongue, brisket, marinated pork, beef, and chicken and even baby octopus were included. For AYCE, everything was really good! Service was alright when I was there. Sometimes I had to remind them for what I asked for. They were busy, and I was busy eating too, so it was not a big deal!

How can you go wrong here?! I haven’t been around to experience a ton of Korean BBQ places in SoCal but this would be one of my top recommendations by far… BUT it wasn’t always this way. A couple years ago my boyfriend took me here after he went with his friends and had a really great experience. I had only really had AYCE Korean BBQ at once place back home so I wasn’t as well-versed in Korean food at the time. I didn’t really enjoy the experience since I had just one really good restaurant to compare it to. Since then, my impression of Road to Seoul was always meh and less than memorable. This year, I was looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant located downtown that took reservations and had plenty of seating for our big group. I was able to easily make reservations about two weeks beforehand for 12 people on a Friday evening. They seemed pretty strict that we had to have everyone there in order to be seated. Lucky for us they sat us anyway when we had about only 8 people. And we were all on one table! When I had initially called another KBBQ spot for reservations, they said that our party would be split into different tables, which I wasn’t a fan of, so I was happy to see we were all together at one table here. They were very quick at bringing out drinks and taking our meat orders. We were conveniently located next to water/sauce/utensil stations so we grabbed things(probably weren’t supposed to) when we needed it. They also have service buttons on the tables, but we barely needed them since they checked on us quite often. They occasionally helped grill and cut our meat for us when they stopped by to check on our table, which I would have never dreamed of having the time to do back when I worked at a Korean BBQ restaurant at home. One of our servers was a small elderly lady and she was so sweet and funny! As for their food, everything we had was super good! We went with $ 19.99AYCE option which was more than enough. It didn’t seem like the $ 23.99 option had anything distinctly different, and then the 3rd option seemed like overkill. The bulgogi probably wasn’t the most flavorful I’ve had, but I still wanted seconds of it. I even enjoyed their brisket which I normally don’t like — it was perfect with their signature dipping sauce. I also really liked the beef sirloin, it was juicy and lots of flavor. The spicy pork belly is like the chili pork at other places — but twice as spicy! One small piece has a ton of heat and I’m pretty tolerable with spicy food. They might not have a big variety of banchan like some other Korean places but they had all the ones I needed anyway — radish, rice paper, spicy fishcake, and mashed potato. At Road to Seoul they also celebrate birthdays so make sure you tell them if someone in your party is celebrating! I guess my boyfriend had told them so when the lights turned out for a few seconds we all thought it was a power outage… turns out it was just the start of their birthday song! They brought out a Choco Pie with a candle, so cute! They don’t add gratuity here for large parties so make sure you tip your servers well. Also, they only accept a maximum of three credit cards, so don’t request split checks and bring cash. And one last tip — their ventilation isn’t the best here so plan your outfit accordingly!

1. Very attentive waiters/waitresses. They’re also very helpful and patient. They didn’t try to rush is in any way. 2. 3 different combos– the cheapest combo at $ 19.99 a person was more than satisfying. You basically get to choose Combo A, B or C and you get to order unlimited amounts of food that falls under that combo. I believe that Combo A had 24 options and Combo C had 39. 3. The quality of the food was nothing I could complain about. Maybe it’s because I think that everything in Cali is just that much better than the food served here on the East coast? 4. The flavors of the meat were truly unique and extensive– especially the wine pork belly?! It works. Somehow. Pretty damn well. TLDR; great place to get a cheap and filling KBBQ fix. Come with a group of friends to help motivate each other to continuously stuffing yourself and end the night with a cold glass of SoMaek!(Korean Soju + Beer combo)

Service:5 Food: 3.5 So a 4 star should be a pretty fair average? Haha The service here is amazing! Our waitress was so attentive and quick with everything. She was also funny and was able to have quick banters with us while clearing our table. They can get pretty crowded but from what I saw, the turnover is also pretty fast because of how fast the workers worked. Our waitress was also very quick and understanding with our complaints. We told her the rice was undercooked and instead of arguing with us or attempting to taste it, she immediately apologized and took them back and handed us new ones. So the food here. They have some pretty bomb salad which I think is necessary to cut through all the meat. However, they don’t have pickled radish wraps which was a disappointment because those are my favorite. The quality of the meat here is great though! I recommend the Road to Seoul beef! It’s soooo good. Their bulgogi and brisket are also pretty bomb. Was very happy with my experience here!

This was first visit for LA Korean BBQ. All you can eat was a nice surprise. Service was friendly and quick. We also didn’t wait for a table. Know going you are cooking your own food. First, I have to say I like going to Korean BBQ with groups of friends for the social aspect that goes with it. But the food was all very good. The steak/red meat was well seasoned. The spicy chicken was also very good. We had so much food I can’t even remember it all. Definitely reco if you are looking for a well priced group meal and want to leave full.

The beef tongue and squid plus the variety is this place’s saving grace. Pros: Okay priced. It’s the usual $ 20 per person for the cheapest menu. Beef tongue is surprisingly pretty good and the squid. I was surprised by that as well. They have sirloin chunks that you can order off the first menu as well too which is a nice plus. Plenty of decent options with just the first menu alone. Some cheap Soju. Parking is okay. You don’t have to valet. just park in the back or even on the streets in the back. Cons: The other meats aren’t terrible, but they’re about average to above average. Sides are okay. a lot of rowdy people during the night and at times they turn up the music too damn loud to where you have a hard time talking with people across from you. The grills are okay. I didn’t like the piece of charcoal at the bottom. After a while the meat just tasted kind of burnt even though they weren’t and the heat on the grill that we were using was inconsistent. Bottom line: Good variety and one of the few places that has pretty good beef tongue. The cons make it so I’m not in a big rush to head back, but I wouldn’t mind if a friend wanted to specifically go here.

This KBBQ is probably one of the most popular ayce kbbq in all of ktown. This restaurant is pretty large but There is ALWAYS a wait on weekends and so weekdays you have a better chance of getting seated right away. One of the biggest perks is that they have valet AND a parking lot in the back! Parking is hard to find in ktown! I would say their service also top notch! Everyone is attentive and quick. There are multiple ayce options and we got the A for $ 19.99 which comes with a pretty large selection. I really liked their beef tongue! The most juicy and tender beef tongue I have had in a while. The marinated short rib was very tasty as well. All the AYCE comes with tofu soup and egg and they also make the tofu soup as tasty as a regular tofu house. For the price and quality Road to Seoul is definitely top notch. That’s probably why there is always such a long line!

Man… I tried a couple of korean places but this one is on top of the others! all you can eat for 18 $! the meat is awesome(marinated beef is… I don’t find any words to describe! just wonderful) all side are good and change sometime. if you go by night yes it ll be noisy but my advice is, don’t eat lunch, have a small breakfast and go at road to seoul around 3 pm service fast and nice and it won’t be noisy! there are many spots to park outside usualy so no worries about that… Im thinking about that… IMHUNGRY I go today YAHAAA :) enjoy!
