Michael Naranjo is awesome. Of all of the recruiters in the office he is the most friendly and easiest to work with. He is spot on when it comes to sending updates and going the extra mile, plus he is just so friggin’ friendly and happy; he’s always in a good mood and when I talk to him he cheerfulness rubs off on me.

Terrible experience was told I’d be placed in an office with the promise I’d be given full-​time employment. Once I was placed I never got above 30 hours. Once I was placed at an office, then the law office treated me like a janitor. I knew right from the get go they would dump me as soon as they can, so the law office lied to the agency and me. On top of that I was never given a set work schedule and my hours were getting cut more and more with no explanation. The agency is supposed to look out for you but I was neglected. Now I’m in an even worse position than I started I was left no choice but to leave their agency and now I’ve lost all the prospects I turned away cause I was promised full time employment

I’ve been out of work for 7 months.
Ever since I called RHL 7 months ago I’ve never gotten a call back
I’ve been in contact with Rick T. who is nice enough but I have to call him.
I had to ask for my resume to be sent to the temp attorney section.
RHL never seems to have any legal job openings.
It is very frustrating to deal with people who don’t keep in contact with you.
And i’m a former candidate.

Michael Naranjo is awesome! After the initial facetime interview, he was able to find me a job in just a couple of weeks. He was extremely helpful and always very approachable with all my employment concerns. At this day and age, it’s hard to find a recruiter who genuinely cares about your application, like Michael Naranjo.

I received a call from Dee Dee from Robert Half the other day. She saw my Resume and she suggested that we set up a FaceTime interview which I did and it was completely ridiculous. I’ve been looking for a Legal Secretary job for awhile and have not been able to find a permanent position, even though I was employed at a major LA law firm for nearly 8 years straight. I have been temping on long and short-​term assignments while interviewing for permanent positions since then. All Dee Dee did with focus on the negative that I had been temping and not permanently employed and said that she really couldn’t help me and that she did not have any references on me even though I had been registered there three years ago and all she could tell me was that they never sent me out on any assignments at all back then — (DUH!!!) I probably would experience the same type of gloom and doom from them now as I did then, because they just don’t have any work for anybody! Don’t waste your time registering at this waste of time agency — they have absolutely NOTHING to offer but a bunch of false promises! I have a new name for them «Robert Half-​Assed»!!!

Contacted a recruiter on LinkedIn (ironically the same one called out by one of the reviewers on here in their review) & she scheduled a Skype interview with me. 20 minutes after the the scheduled time for the interview, there was no call. Just before I was about to telephone the recruiter, she calls and says time got away from her & she couldn’t call at the agreed time — and if we could still do it then. She did not seem very apologetic about the inconvenience it may have caused me. Since I was available, I agreed to doing the Skype call then. We spoke about my resume, what I was looking for, etc. And then she requested me to send her 3 references, with contact information. I did that soon after the call. Then radio silence. I emailed asking if she received the references and to follow-​up on jobs I applied to — more radio silence. That shows not only a lack of professionalism — but a lack of common courtesy. Goodness knows, as recruiters, they should have a copy/​paste response to send out at least. Would not recommend.

I have to agree with other reviewers. This agency is so unprofessional I have not received a call back in over eight months of trying. Do not waste your time with these cretins.
Specifically, Jennifer Williams and the director Sathyanarayana Shekar lack the professionalism to ever return a phone call. Do NOT work with these people. Even when you request to be withdrawn from their gathering of your personal information from their files they will not respond.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Worst job agency ever! I wasted two hours filling out paperwork and interviewing with a rep named Didi. She gave me this whole speech about how many contacts they had in the legal field and how many positions she would be able to set me up with. I never got a callback, EVER! After countless emails and voice messages, no one ever reached out to me. I tried applying for jobs through their website and never received any response. Don’t bother wasting your time with this agency.

After years of working I decided to take some time off and focus on my studies. After 6 months of being out of work I decided to go back into the work force. I looked everywhere for jobs, sent out my resume all day and night long for months and was not able to find anything. Either I was over qualified or under qualified. I would get offers from firms that were not willing to pat a decent price (if anything at all). I eventually took a job at a business firm (small, one attorney, office manager and me the legal assistant). I was excited to start a new chapter in my life and work. After only one day of working I learned why the legal assistant quit. The attorney was a rude, disrespectful and a all around jerk (to put it nicely) and let me tell you I have worked for some difficult people. My skin is very tough but some people do not deserve to have good employee’s so I left. I spent another few months looking for a job not finding anything. One day I ran info my friend who told me about her experience with Didi at Robert Half Legal. She went to meet with Didi and was placed in a job within 2 days (although the turnaround isn’t always that quick she could tell that Didi wanted to help her and place her with a firm). I called Didi shortly after. I made an appointment to go meet with her and she placed me with a firm that day! Talk about a short turnaround time.
Not only did I have a good experience with Didi but the entire staff was pretty awesome. I was greeted by the receptionist who was very nice and helpful. After meeting with Didi I met with David who was also awesome and helpful. They were all caring and I could tell that they were all there to help me and their other clients.
Before this experience I wasn’t too trilled about working with a temp agency but Robert Half Legal has changed my mind. The staff was amazing and on top of their work. Earlier I told you the story about the horrible lawyer. Robert Half Legal is not only concerned about placing clients in firms but they are concerned about the well being of the client. They have strict policies about being in an ethical work place. They don’t want to place people in firms that don’t treat their employee’s well.
If you are unemployed and need a job or are looking for a place, I highly recommend Robert Half Legal in Downtown.

Julie Linehan was great. She helped me get my next position with a great raise in salary. I recommend using her services, she is great to work with.

I would recommend Robert Half International to anyone as an invaluable resource to someone who is seeking employment. I submitted my resume to Robert Half in response to a job posting they listed online and in less than 72 hours I received a call for an interview. I met with David Saidnia who was determined to find an assignment for me. I worked as a paralegal for several years in Phoenix and recently moved to Los Angeles with my husband. I needed only to get my foot in the door to prove myself and David Saidnia gave me that opportunity. While other companies quickly dismissed my resume because I lacked California experience David Saidnia was determined to have my skills recognized along with my potential asset to a company. I am grateful that I had Robert Half diligently working on my behalf. The same afternoon of my interview I was offered a temporary assignment. Robert Half always kept communication open and was very professional and kind. The law firm in which David Saidnia vigorously got to accept me on assignment recently offered me a full-​time position with their firm. I am super excited and very grateful for David Saidnia’s belief in me and all of Robert Half International’s help.

RHL came through for me eight years ago, when I was re-​emerging into the job market with a four year gap on my resume… «a kiss of death» on any resume. I went in and tested. The NEXT day they placed me in a great law firm. That job lead to another where I stayed for six and a half years. Then I found my unemployed after three rounds of layoffs. I spent nearly 14 months looking for a job. I took every temp assignment I could get. During that time, I Interviewed and signed on with three other agencies. Two out of the three did nothing for me. Why I waited so long to contact RHL I will never know. I only wish I had reached out to them sooner. I spoke with Monica Tobin at RHL a month ago. One week later, Monica got me a much-​coveted interview in a major Fortune 500 global organization. She did a great job preparing me for the interview and bent over backwards to accommodate my difficult schedule to do so. The next morning, I got an email from Monica telling me I got the position.
Bottom line folks. I couldn’t be happier with their representation. RHL has a STERLING list of employers. That doesn’t happen by default. They’ve earned the trust of these companies by testing and ensuring they are submitting a good match. Don’t be discouraged by the negative reviews. It’s a tough job market out there right now. So, call them. Listen to their advice. Yes, GO take the tests. That helps them determine your skill set and it helps you too. As for paying for parking, job hunting is an investment in YOURSELF. Aren’t you worth $ 12? Several months ago, I attended a job workshop sponsored by the unemployment department. They advised that in this difficult economy in the California job market there are nearly 2000 applicants for EVERY job that’s posted. That’s the reality you’re facing. You need a GOOD agent representing you to gain an advantage over the competition. Put on your game face. Go take the tests and listen to these skilled advisors at RHL. They KNOW what they’re doing. I give Monica Tobin and RHL an unequivocal five stars.

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. After completing their survey, I gave them the lowest possible ratings and JUST to see what would happen, I requested their services again and THEY WILL NOT even call me back or return my emails, even after staying on assignment and receiving excellent reviews from the employer. I would not recommend this agency to ANYONE. You’re just wasting your time I’m telling ya!

We used their service and are very disappointed. They have incompetent and inexperienced attorneys that overcharge you and inflate the amount of time spent on the project. They make false representations just to sign you up and all they care about is their bottom line, all while doing half-​assed work. Never use their service, period. They don’t even deserve 1 star…

This place is STILL a fucking waste of time! I have a new name for them — ROBERT HALF-​ASSED!

Here is what others say about RHL
As other reviews say, I seriously doubt that they have that many «real» job openings — -their job «opening» postings on CL, Monster, Career Builder seem too good to be true. Their job postings are always very generic, too vague, and don’t even disclose specific job locations.
In any event, I was asked to come in for an interview/​filing paperwork because I had responded to one of their CL ads, believing there were positions available through RHL. Just like others say, they do not validate for parking. I was asked to fill out tons of paperwork and to take a test. As for an «interview,» my recruiter clearly didn’t care what I wanted nor was she interested in knowing my qualifications.
After all that, they have assigned me absolutely no position whatsoever. I asked my recruiter to share my resume with other RHL offices, but she REFUSED!
Useless staffing company. NOT RECOMMENDED.

A fucking waste of time, they only call people in to fill their quotas.

I have to agree with the other review.
It appears relatively consistent with the lack of validating parking among large legal placement agencies. But definitely Robert Half lacks finesse in communicating jobs. They interview but I didn’t receive any offers after 2 different interviews I had in their office. The one time I was called for an interview for a position, they failed to call me back so that I could finish the interview. The people who work there just don’t seem to be the most professional.
