Ron Zeidler, DMD

I have been seeing Dr. Ziedler for the past 23 years and he has been an exceptional dentist. I’ve tried dentists in other towns during college but have always come back to Dr. Ziedler. I never wait longer than 5 minutes in the waiting room, he always checks my teeth out personally and gives recommendations, and all of his staff are very professional and consistent.

This is an honest review, most reviews have 5 stars because they email us clients with free whitenings if we leave a good review, and we all fall for the trick.
Yesterday while I was having my Invisalign checked, one of my fillings fell out, doctor Floorman was surprised knowing that filling was done less than a year ago, so I call Zeidler and told him about it, the office said «That is no problem, we will redo it for FREE¨, so I go there next morning, Zeidler checks his computer to see my clinical history, and all checks OK. He does the filling, and SUPRISE! He says ¨Well. I´ve checked the history and seems like we didnt do this filling so you will have to pay for it¨, funny, because in the past three years I havent gone to any other dentist… So Im there waiting at the front desk while he whispers to his staff at the front desk, right in front of me, basically telling them to charge me. I was so mad I just payed for it and left to never come back again. While I sat in my car, I checked the filling, it was done very poorly, I could see there were still parts missing, and I also thought, if he checked the clinical history before doing the filling, why didn’t he let me know about it before doing it? Thats the difference between dishonest people and real doctors right there.

My son and I have been seeing Dr. Zeidler for 14 years and have nothing but good things to say about his work ethic and demeanor. For all these years, Dr. Zeidler’s service has been consistent and reliable. He is knowledgeable, super affordable, and most importantly, he is honest! I get the yearly in-​office plan and it works great for us because we only need regular cleanings and x-​rays. The in-​office plans gets you discounts on additional dental work if you need it. I haven’t paid dental insurance in years since he opened this plan. I recommend Dr. Zeidler with my eyes closed.

Dr. Zeidler and his staff are wonderful people and great at what they do. Everyone is friendly, professional and very good at their jobs. They are great at scheduling you so you’re seen when you arrive. There is also easy parking. He also has an in-​office insurance plan that makes cleanings and different procedures more affordable if you don’t have insurance through an employer or if you haven’t already bought on your own. I’ve used this since I’m self-​employed and it’s made everything very affordable especially considering Dr. Zeidler’s depth of experience.
I can’t say enough nice things about Dr. Zeidler. I feel very lucky to have found his practice– he’s a great person and amazing at what he does. He puts you at ease and makes sure you’re comfortable and informed about whatever procedure you end up having. I have had a few procedures where I was a bit nervous but things went smoothly. Besides feeling that I have a very competent dentist, he also has a great sense of humor which makes the experience enjoyable. I can say that I now enjoy going to the dentist (which I never thought I’d be able to say!). I can’t recommend him and his staff highly enough and if you check out his practice you’ll see why.

Dr. Zeidler and his staff are amazing. I was looking for a new dentist closer to my home, and I am so glad I chose this office. I had the best experience last week getting my check up and teeth cleaning here for the first time. The teeth cleaning was the most thorough cleaning I’ve ever experienced. The receptionist went above and beyond by contacting my previous dentist to get x rays sent over. She even checked with my insurance to find out coverage for retainers and night guards etc. Dr. Zeidler was professional and honest!

I found Dr. Zeidler several years back on living social when I first moved to LA. At the time I was not insured and was able to get a cleaning for a very reasonable price. Since then I’ve bounced around from job to job, been insured and uninsured for periods and he has been consistently great in providing affordable dental care for many years. Though I now live and work in the valley, I still make the trip to Santa Monica to see Dr. Zeidler and it’s well worth the trip. On my most recent visit, Cynthia did my cleaning and she was fantastic. Gentle, thorough, efficient and very pleasant! Jen at the front desk is always ready with a smile, she’s been so helpful in my many insurance switch-​ups and provides consistently great customer service, which is never to be taken for granted nowadays. I’ll keep coming back for years to come and I’d recommend Dr. Zeidler and his whole group to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Dr Zeidler came as a recommendation from Dr Florman, my orthodontist. The dental staff are exceptional and I can tell you with certainty that you can rest assured they are taking good, and fair, care of you. They won’t suggest procedures if they are not absolutely necessary as I found out the hard way… I tried a dentist whom said I had 2 cavities in every one of my quadrants (8 teeth), I got 4 filled and wanted to get the other filled at a later time. I went to Dr Zeidler AFTER I got the first 4 filled from the previous dentist and Dr Zeidler and staff said I absolutely did NOT need fillings! So I got drilled and had unnecessary fillings from the OTHER dentist, which of course they charged a substantial price for. I have complete and utter piece of mind whenever I go into Dr Zeidlers knowing they will NOT take advantage of me or anyone else, and they will treat you honestly and ethically based on your current dental situation. They are the standard all dental practices should strive to be.

After some issues with another dentist I was referred by a friend to Dr. Z. He’s been lovely to deal with and has worked with me to fix my issues and improve my overall mouth health and appearance. I love that you get a free in office whitening with referrals too! Overall– great doctor!

I had an appointment with Dr. Zeidler, he explained every procedure to be done. The experience was extremely good. He really cares about his patients. Great staff too. I recommend his office highly.

Dr. Zeidler and his staff are the best I’ve found in thirty years. Dr. Zeidler knows every aspect of dentistry, and his advice and work are backed by years of expertise in teaching, lecturing, and hands-​on dentistry. He also has a great esthetic eye for reconstructive dentistry, such as Lumineers. His is one of the last dental practices to use manual scaling in addition to or instead of ultrasonic device.
His staff makes the office feel cozy and homey while attending to patients without missing a step.
Although I live in Iowa, I come to L.A. to be seen by Dr. Zeidler and his kind staff.

I have been going to Dr. Zeidler for many years and have never had a bad experience. He and his staff are always warm and courteous. Dr. Zeidler will always take the time to answer questions and discuss any concerns. He never pushes unnecessary treatments or procedures. Dr. Zeidler and staff clearly care about their patients and make every effort to provide a warm, comfortable environment.

I have been going to Dr. Zeidler for over 4 years now. He has a wonderful staff of knowledgeable and trustworthy hygienists and I always feel welcome and safe there. Being an individual who takes care of herself and health, I find feeling comfortable with your doctors and health care practitioners to be incredibly important. I had two appointments with Dr. Zeidler in December 2015. I was a bit nervous because I had not been to the dentist in several years and was concerned about the amount of work (and cost of work) that I would need. After taking x-​rays and examining my teeth, Dr. Zeidler informed me of the procedures I would need to correct a few issues that I had (which unfortunately included a root-​canal), but then took the time to explain how cavities and other dental issues develop, identified preventative and corrective measures I could take, and also thoroughly explained how insurance worked and how to keep my cost down. I am very grateful to Dr. Zeidler and his team. I will remain a loyal patient (and I promise to return for dental visits at least 2x per year).

My husband can’t say enough nice things about his new dentist, Dr. Zeidler. He is so pleased with the excellent dental care and service of Dr. Zeidler’s practice. Daniel’s perfect, sparkling white teeth really drive the point home. And understandably, Daniel wanted me to experience the same excellent service. I can now absolutely confirm my husband’s rave reviews. Dr. Zeidler’s team of super professional and friendly staff are so pleasant and professional. They have even accommodated my insane wedding schedule (I’ve had to change my appointments a few times). I am really looking forward to my second visit!

This review is long overdue. Dr. Zeidler brings humanity back, not only to a city overflowing with liars, cheats and folks who just flat out don’t care, but also to an industry plagued by much of the same garbage.
My previous 4 experiences with dentists were pretty terrible. I had the same dentist for the first 25 years of my life, who was great, but then I cycled through a series of dentists out to make a quick buck a the expense of my teeth and bank account. I’ve only had one cavity in my entire life and between 4 dentists paid nearly $ 3,000.00 to have a series of fillings that were done incorrectly, drilled out and redone and finally a root canal and crown. It had gotten to the point that each trip to the dentist seemingly came with more bad news and a hefty price-​tag.
I first came to see Dr. Zeidler in 2014 after moving to LA it had been nearly two years since my last visit to the dentist. As you can imagine I feared the worst. I was pleasantly surprised. The hygienist told me that she could tell I took very good care of my teeth, the x-​rays confirmed that everything looked good. They cleaned my teeth, and Dr. Zeidler came in to examine me. As I was expecting the bad news he told me everything was in order and for being a new patient they had a special for free in-​home whitening kit.
I had to do a double take — First, they didn’t try to tell me I needed some expensive procedure and give me the doomsday scenario if I put it off, secondly everyone was extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable and now finally this nice guy is offering me a free whitening kit? What a Jerk! :) Just kidding.
I ended up being too busy to come by and pick up the custom fit whitening trays and recently went back (a year later) for another cleaning, they had held on to the trays for an entire year. I received a repeat of the same great service I’d experienced on my first visit, and my teeth are starting to look really white!
Dr. Zeidler and his staff are wonderful. They are honest and professional. He will not try to push unnecessary treatments or products just to make a buck. He has excellent bedside manor and takes the time to explain everything to you. If you are even considering getting a new dentist in West LA, look no further, because Dr. Zeidler is your guy!
